The Chanel 19 is so much more practical and functional compared to the classic flaps. Even the small size (which is not that small!) is very user friendly compared to the medium large classic flap. I have both. The medium large classic flap (mine in black caviar with gold h/w) does not hold very much because of the double flap. The 19 however holds so much more, is much lighter so you can carry more without shoulder pain! and you can wear cross body. The chain is also very quiet despite being chunky. I have it in black lambskin and also the denim which is a really special piece. Love it so much am on the lookout for a tweed version too! Karl Lagerfeld's last and very special legacy!

Love your collection of these bags...and have two questions... first, would you consider another 19 in the light beige you originally purchased, why or why not and second, you stated that the “medium” was too large for you, was it because it held too much (too spacious) or because it hung shorter than the small when wearing it crossbody? I would LOVE to add one to my collection and am not near a boutique to try one on. Definitely going for leather and I am torn between that beautiful light beige you had, or black! Thanks Lou!!!
