The model I have is a little different but has the same blade attachment and does the same job. It is one of my dozen or so Ryobi tools and one that gets used the most. It’s great for around trees that the mower doesn’t get and hard to reach areas. Yeah, a string trimmer could be used but I find better control with this tool and it doesn’t leave gashes in trees.
Just bought one and very unhappy with its performance. It won't cut, it just tears the grass and it eventually wears it down. If you hold the grass at the top it kind of cuts. Its going back to. Home Depot tomorrow.
Yes this is just for small areas and you couldnt grass shear for a long time. only for odd spaces where hard for line trimmer to reach. Big areas have to use line trimmer
Thanks for the tip! I will check it out. I have a couple of other shearing attachments and I found them too heavy. Ryobi should look into making them lighter.

It’s definitely a tool that gets a lot of use, not just for trees but those awkward areas around the flower beds too!
For the job I saw being done a weed trimmer would've done it without kneeling or hunched over?

Thanks gal.
U didn’t cut into the sprinkler pipes! good job 👏
The pipes were thicker than the scissors so its good too.
I use it to cut the grass around the pool. I make a mess with the weedeater.
It can be back breaking but once I start I cannot stop
Cuts good but I think second year the plade needs to be sharpe again
Was thinking of buying one but doesn't look like it cuts any better than the cheap 7 volt one I have
I wished Ryobi can make the parts lighter
I regret buying it. It’s okay for trimming around small spaces, but way too slow for larger areas. I had to go back to using the string trimmer.

Needs a longer handle it's a back breaker otherwise.
Shrubber with Caddy fixes this. It is an accessory
Or be in decent shape
You can get a pole attachment if it's to heavy for you lady! 😄
Anyways... Great video! 👍👍👍

How it start pls help me
Press the little grey triangle button in and then press the trigger
Needs a longer handle, another badly designed Royobi tool, why would they release something you have to bend down to use an ergonomic FAIL.
