- A very controversial and cantankerous woman popularly called Nwanyi Udi has decided to remain troublesome despite her age. She has decided to make herself a nuisance wherever she goes unleashing terror upon all. The issue however is that people are getting fed up with her troublesome ways and it is beginning to backfire.
This is a very funny local movie shot in the rural tongue (Igbo language) of the Udi people. The movie is also beautifully subtitled in English.

Exactly, the name of the movie is Nwanyi Udi, they're acting to portray that Udi dialect in the village. Then the other actors in the city spoke Igbo Central. This is the way it is in real life. English is not our language. If you like the actors so much you should respect and appreciate their language or better still learn it the way you learned English and French. Igbo language is a great language and it should be expressed globally. This is the way it is in real life. English is not our language. If you like the actors so much you should respect and appreciate their language too or better still learn it the way you learned English and French. We are speaking English because we were colonized by the British and some lost their language and dialects because of slavery.I understand you don't understand the Language or dialects but that who they are., the way they talk the way they think all originate from they give things through their language, do example an American actor can not act can not act as an Igbo actor. If you don't like the Language then find Hollywood movies or other English speaking movies. That our actors act so well is because of their culture which Igbo language is part of, they think in Igbo and act it out even when they translate it in the so called English movies. They're some that have lost their language because of slavery. Appreciate other people way of life or you let them be.
The name of the movie is Nwanyi Udi, they're acting to portray that Udi dialect in the movie, and the setting is in Amokwe Udi, people speak their dialect in the village just as they did. That you love the way they act is primarily because the way they give meaning to things through language, their way of acting are all based on their culture which, language is one of them. We can not give up our language because just we were colonized by the British and some lost their language because they were enslaved . You can not claim to love the actors if you don't appreciate and respect their language. Their language is one of the main factor that shaped them to act funny the way they do in the movies, even when they act in English movies most of them subconsciously do it in Igbo style. An American actor will not act the way an Igbo actor will act if they are to act the same role. You got to appreciate and respect the culture that contributed in making them the great actors they're. They dress like Igbos, act like Igbo, dance like Igbos, so why can't they speak Igbo and diaelect in their own movie. They're Igbos not British. Great Igbo movie! Igbo ndi oma demenuo!!!!!!

eish i wish the movie was in English, its great and all but i find it difficult to keep up with the translation and watching, otherwise great movie
For those complaining about... Koreans, Indians,Chinese and etc make movies in their language and people still watch it. why should this one be different? A subtitle has been provided so let's go with that. I know it's hard but since we are able to do that for other movies that are made with other languages...we should be able to do so for this one as well. Igbo kwenu!!!!!!!. Igbo amaka.

Because we love our language so much and movies look more original when done in Igbo. The movie is well subtitled, and I believe you will really enjoy it with us if you decide to give it a try.
