One of the Wisconsin band directors told me back in the late 90's, that was their first time back to Ann Arbor, because the band back in the 70's, TRASHED A HOTEL! Plus the team sucked and there was no need to send them to Ann Arbor.
The wobbly sound is caused by the high step which will probably not change in a very long time now can you stop complaining on these comment sections please.
I Don't Understand the Wisconsin Badger Band goes to a lot of different stadiums... But they don't invite any teams other Marching bands..Anyone know why???
It has to do with the budgets (money) of the other bands. All bands are welcome at away games, all across the country, "invitation" not needed. Though the Big 10 bands are amongst the best funded bands in college football, it takes an enormous amount of money to send 350 member bands to away games. Bands have to choose which games are most important to attend. Wisconsin might be the best funded band in the Big 10, they once had a lucrative contract with Budweiser for playing the Bud theme, thus that might be why they seem to travel the most.
The actual reason is because the amount of band members would take up the allotment of visiting fans' tickets. you'd have your entire band and no visiting fans
Not sure what your talking about? They invite the bands of any school they play @home. Its up to the band of the opposing school if they can or want to make that trip.
I would love to see the Michigan band at Camp Randal stadium
Big Thank You To UM Ann Arbor for hosting us. 1 common ground we have- Beat the Fuckeyes!
Just plain wicked. So much chair step between them and Michigan. Wow.
This is so cool even as a Michigan fan!! The UW Marching Band is the best being a Wisconsinite!!
U W Band does "The Victors" as well as the Michigan band.
I heard the Badger Band play the Victors back in the 80's, and I must say, THEY PLAY A ROUSING CHORUS OF IT!
they do the victors better than ohio state so good job Wisconsin #goblue
Jakob Baker Ohio state marches different then Wisconsin or itichigian
Jakob Baker OSU does it better coming from a michigan fan
Yeah okay 😂😂😂
Is this just pure B1G or what?
James Pieper is a tradition

Got to fix that wobbly sound
*fix the high step that's causing the wobbly sound in the first place
its better when they do a walking high step, not this running step

Scott Brown
Because they don’t want to get owned in Camp Randall by Ohio State, Michigan, MSU or Penn State’s band who all four are better bands IMHO!
I am not even a Badger but Wisconsin band is the best...saw them a few years ago in Rose Bowl parade....awesome band and best stepping
They invite Nebraska

They sound pretty good when they’re standing still, but that high step that they do ruins their sound, imo
Yeah, that high-step is wacky... it also prevents them from going at a faster tempo
But Wisconsin fans are OK with it
I've seen that Badger pregame show a few times, and it USED TO BE BETTER!
GOBLUEADAM They do a lot of the same stiff over and over..
That would be called "tradition"
Scott, I know. They only change when do that drop down to the knee thing, with a different song.
But yet Wisconsin fails to invite other bands . Just Shameful
They invited our band last weekend lol
They invited Nebraska MARCHING band
