For anyone wondering, you can practice going past your marked frets with harmonics. (Fret on fret #1 and the 12th fret harmonic is now on fret 13.. etc.) Love the original comment. :D

Hello Nikola, THANK YOU so very much for doing these cool videos !! I have been listening to Pink Floyd for 30 years and finally a few weeks ago BOUGHT a Stratocaster to play some notes like David Gilmour. As you can imagine, now I know how talented David is after 50-60 years of playing guitar. Playing along with YOUR video allows me to play a few notes like Pink Floyd !! Thank you Nikola !! Wish you might do a video on the song SORROW by Pink Floyd??? I am 65 years young and would LOVE to play that song I have LOVED for DECADES !!
Just wanted to say that I found you channel some days ago. Before that ive been looking at several different youtubers for lessens, like Morty etc. And while they are good, there is always something missing from the original, or atleast sometimes. And it is not rare for them to repeat stuff they play wrong and making me confused. With that said, ive been playing guitar for 15 years and you are by far the best lesson maker ive come across. And ive been through ALOT. Cheers!
Totally love it!!! And Thanks for sharing. If you take requests, then there is this song by George Harrison called ‘Cheer Down’. It has some amazing guitar solos. Would love it if we can get that from you.
Thank you Dan! Means a lot. For the tone I use only Guitar rig as a plug-in. Don't use real pedals or amps. You can find screenshots for the tone on my Patreon page. Thanks again
@@nikolagugoski not only watching 😌 now you have become my teacher and I'm learning this solo with you :) Wonderful cover, all these notes sounds just like in original recording!

I think that's a common problem if you don't use slide regularly. Had the same issue while trying to learn this. Just play with it for some time and you'll get more comfortable eventually
For everybody wondering about sounding out of tune: the slide must be positioned right on the fretmark and not exactly on the middle of the fret. I don't know if it's only a problem with my guitar
thats not a problem but it makes the most sense. Withe a slide you push not as far as with finger. The slide became the "fretmark' . This is why Lapsteelguitars dont have frets.
Can anyone explain me whats that metal cylinder called and what is its purpose? I mean, the guy can use his finger as well right? Please explain me what am I missing.
It's called a slide. It gives very different sound in comparison to something played with fingers. There are many guitar players popular for their slide playing.

Best,not one of the best
You know your soul is lifted from your body when its 32 fret
I think Gilmour needed to use a whammy pedal to get to 32.. I mean he’s a bending machine but 24 to 32 is insane and insanely beautiful
This solo is not played on a regular guitar originally
@@nikolagugoski it’s a pedal steel and it’s got even less frets than the Strat he whammy’s up to fret 32 it’s truly insane

This one was spot on into my mood, looks easy but the phrasing is difficult to get right, as always with Gilmour 😎. Thanks a lot!

HOW DO I GET A SLIDE
can you please make a video on one rainy wish from jimi hendrix? theres not a lot of lessons about it on yt
Whenver i try to play with a guitar slide, the others strings just create unnecesart noise, what should i do?
I think that's a common problem if you don't use slide regularly. Had the same issue while trying to learn this. Just play with it for some time and you'll get more comfortable eventually
Try to keep one finger behind the slide muting the strings, that way you kill the noise of loose strings.
Puedes hacer un vídeo así de one of these days de pink floyd
Fret 32. Ok......
Genio!!!

I’d love to play this but my strat simply doesn’t have that sound and i have no idea which pedals to get

Bro how tf im i supposed to play fret32
Play the note on the 20th fret and find the same note one octave higher 🙂
@nikolagugoski so can I reach that note by playing a pinched harmonic on fret 8? As that should be two octaves above right?
