  • In 1980, Elton John held the first ever rock concert in Central Park. Over 400, 000 people were in attendance, as they saw the 33 year old pianist perform some of his biggest hits. The concert's most memorable moment was when Elton performed "Your Song" dressed as Donald Duck.

I've gotta give much respect to Elton John on this song. Anyone who can pull off singing a beautiful love ballad while dressed as Donald Duck has to have more than just talent.

It's his song and he can sing it anyway he wants. When you reach the the highs that he has then you can make negative comments. Elton is the best.

What I love about this concert is that Elton was young (33yrs old)...and just having fun! : )

@TELEVISIONARCHIVES In the UK, quid is slang for the pound, so a couple of quid means £2

i remember that it was on hbo back in the early 80s and that donald duck costume i knew that he is gay and he was proud of it and the song in still standing let the world know and it didnt matter to me whoever is gay lesbian trans transsexuals or bi or drag queen I love them and i dont care about the comments on this leave them bcause thats what they are dont disrespect them and dont hate them

@1caninelover I think that he is saying " for a couple of quid", which is slang for the British Pound. I think that this is the wildiest that I have ever seen Elton, outfit and voice "quack". lol.

This is the Elton John I was a fan of! Flamboyant, outrageous, not giving a $&)), and doing his own thing! When Lion King came out, I lost interest!

I really like this version, minus the laughing & quacking. When an artist is performing a song that you hold very dear & take very seriously, that artist shouldn't joke around with it. That artist should take it just as seriously & sing it like it was the first time. Remember, we hold these songs so dearly, as they mean so much to us.
