Just purchased this tao motors bull 200 from nelson motorsports in Snohomish WA and they treated us great and got us right out the door and needless to say I am very impressed over all.
I bought two just over a year ago. Lots of problems with both of them. I can't even get spark on one of them. Parts are a lot harder to find than you will be told.
It's a gy6 motor. Gy6 clone if you will. Identical otherwise however. Just look up/research gy6 and you'll find whatever it is you need. There is a serial number on the motor. And you can even use it to reverse lookup all of the info for the motor. And then buy your parts accordingly. Just buy a good coil with an ngk boot.(china ones just suck) And run an ngk plug. I also run a good cdi box, mikuni carb, uni air filter, d.i.d. chain, etc... on my daughters quad. Oh and i replaced the lines and hoses. And put a good fuel filter on it. But I knew what the weakness of the quad was before i bought it. Between the 100-200 cc range.... No jap bike comes close to this one. Ive had em. You get alot for the money with this quad. But spend 100-200 bucks to make it problem free. And make it run like a whole different animal....reliably. Such as the mods above We sent her polaris 90 down the road a few months into having the bull. It was an 05 sportsman. But not nearly as well put together as the bull. Not in any way, shape, or form if I am to be honest. Yes... I was surprised also. Once you get out of these smaller quads, I'm running yamaha. That's just the way it is. Or polaris for side by sides. Despite the mass of problems i regularly have with them. But anyway.... the big names simply don't put the r&d into the youth quads the way they do the adult quads unfortunately. So for well under 2k with mods. I'm tickled. She's tickled. That's all that matters. Anyway..... Hope this helps out. Take care
David Briot I am interested in one. But want to make sure I have the right replacement plugs, filters (fuel and gas), etc... but I cannot find any ref documents to make sure I’m buying the right items from Amazon or local auto parts store. Do you have this info or a URL that would point me the right direction? Thank you!
I hope you don't think it compares to a 7 or 8 grand quad, because it's no where near any Quad at those prices. To be honest, it's probably doesn't compare to any Honda, Yamaha, Polaris, or Kawasaki because they don't make anything like this... This is a case of you're really getting what you paid for... and being my budget sux, I'm looking at this same quad..
crabjoe By no means do I think this is comparable to any of the big brand quads that are out there the nice thing about this quad is that it’s $1700 out the door which is a lot cheaper than seven or eight grand just to find out if the person that you get it for is even interested in riding if they’re interested in ridingthen you can make the investment and buy a nice quad
@@buildwithsam6611 Were you then making an ad for your local dealer? Because around the 1 min mark, you make the case that it's comparable to a $7-8K quad. IMHO, I'm not even sure one is getting what they're paying for (QC seems to be a hit or miss), but it does allow people to get into owning a new quad at a lower price point. This is a 1st quad for me.. In reality, it's not even for me, it's for my kid... It'll be a 1st for both him and I. Based on all the posts I've seen around the internet about issues with these, I figure it'll be a good project to teach my son about small engines and mechanical things in general. I'm just hoping it ends up being more of a general knowledge about maintenance thing than actually having to do major repairs where I might need to pull out the welder. I hope yours is treating you well!
They are a good ride for the money. I bought one of the first ones available when they shipped to U.S. Been pretty reliable...hope yours has as well.
Yeah but like the guy before you was saying. It has a hard time warming up. Gotta play with the idle.
How fast does it run?
Does yours shut off while sitting still for a bit? Mine shuts off and I have to re Start it again all the time. I have adjusted the throttle as well
Yeah likes too die. Mostly when cold. And yeah when its warming up I have to turn the idle screw up about a full turn.
It’s nice!
Colby Fiegl thanks bud
