I prefer Saizo because He is a Colorless unit. Berkut is a great unit +10. His new refine gave him more justice and now He is a great enemy phase unit like L:Seliph.
Corrin's Sacred Cowl build has been a staple on her ever since Seercull and I popularized it. Honestly I wouldn't have been too surprised if Shield Pulse or a Close Call effect had ended up as Corrin's special refine.
All those different effect ideas I went through and I didn't even consider lull skills. Oof. I did get the first part right though. This was a pleasant surprise overall.
This is personally my favourite round of Refines, 3 of my favourite FE characters (Corrin, Celica and Berkut) getting amazing Refines and new build options, my favourite has to be Corrin's, I used her on Chrom and Narcian's Abyssal battles and she did 95% of the job, I'm so proud of her, I have always used Wrath since it came out but because she actually hits hard now I'm gonna believe you and I'll give her Lull Atk Res, I can't wait for her Resplendent version, thank so much for your videos as always and I'm glad that you're uploading videos after what happened in the Smash community ^^.
Who knew under that mask it was F!Corrin all along, now she must avenge her father and dedicate her life to protect her birth brother Ryoma. But jokes aside, I think her refine is pretty decent, and my man Berkut getting a decent refine is a game changer for f2p players. Honestly, I am happy to have refined them both.

This is a really solid batch. I don't use any of these units but I'm happy for the people who do like them. Brave Celica definitely needs the kind of buff her fallen version got though.
I refined F!Celica straight away. She’s one of the mainstays on my thematic AR-D “Duma’s Fallen”. Her performance on there is debatable, but it is at least a straight upgrade over what she had and I like her art, so that’s enough reason for me. Running fury, she’ll always have 10 damage after combat, which can be easily synced with vantage and brazen seals, while during combat she reasonably sustains herself while stacking a lot of stats.
Actually, no. The defense debuffs aren't really necessary, you have adaptive damage and the super Threaten effect is amazing for those asshole reinforcements.
I prefer Corrin's tbh. The extra BST from being a melee unit really goes a long way with an effect like that and she can become truly nightmarish for a melee unit to break through, whereas Saizo (while he is fun) tends to lack the raw stats to become a major threat (Res aside, that HP is too low for his role). Also Saizo suffers badly from Just-use-Matthew syndrome :/

Though the one character I was most concerned for was Berkut, and after seeing his refine I am happy to have +10 him long ago, I just love the guy. Looks like the Feh community has a new friendly f2p hero on their hands.
If you proc her weapon it fetches her 14 spd and attack and that’s not even considering c or s soy or teammates! This refine effectively makes her fallen corrin
I’m happy when refines makes old characters viable when given a usable effect/fix the base weapons. This batch is a good example of that. I have all 4 of them, but I’m thinking of doing Berkut and Celica’s refine first.
My opinions on these refines: F!Corrin - Obviously compared to Saizo, she's going to be seen as a weaker debuffer, but compared to other blue dragons, I think this refine gives her a pretty distinct niche and gives her a reliable way to improve her combat potential as a speedy mixed tank. F!Celica - One thing I particularly like about this refine is how it gives her longevity, even with the out-of-combat damage she takes. I feel like even though she may not be able to compete with Gen 4 sword unit statlines, the added healing effect helps her survive for longer and might be a bit more consistent overall, especially since Celica's bulk is more balanced than, say, Larcei or Mareeta. Berkut - A solid refine that improves Berkut's role as a mixed tank in a way that helps him stand out from Conrad (being able to run Lull Atk/Def AND QR AND have a free Seal slot). Sheena - Solid and improves Sheena's role as a tank. Overall, very impressive batch of refines. None of them seem outright bad.

I refined Celica and I gave her miracle, dc and special spiral, she is really strong. The self healing from her weapon is really good and with flashing blade as a seal she can spam miracle pretty easily… Brave weapon are still a big threat, but with her stats it's non a big problem to deal with, I think that B!Lucina with both close and distant guard can fix a lot of her problems. I've long waited. Berkut's Lance+ outdated. Dark Royal Spear compensated. Berkut less understated. I'm loving his refine so much, big Ws for people who built him

My boy finally got his refine! So glad I held off on giving him Lull Attack/Defense before. Definitely like it a lot it's a massive upgrade for him. Female Corrin is also really nice. My wife and I both run her a lot, so it's great to finally have a preferred weapon that plays to her strengths. I'm hoping to care more about Fallen Celica if I can draw her on the New Powers banner. It's been two years game, please.
Man, I’ve been using F!Corrin basically since the beginning and it has worked out great for me! (Admittedly I used my summoner support on her to give her that stat boost) I’m so happy that she’s finally getting the weapon she deserves! And if she gets a resplendent form... I might actually buy it for her
You are a bit harsh on Sheena :P Flame Emperor is the only other realistic option for competition in the f2p space, and Flame Emperor does not get extra attack from their weapon. Yes, they have more stats but the performance between them is not going to be that different. And I'd argue, Sheena's opportunity cost is SUPER low as grails are very competitive right now and the only fodder she really needs is a single copy of Legendary Hector. I would HIGHLY argue that Flame Emperor is a poor choice to spend your grails on with so many amazing options in Itsuki, Kronya, Brunnya, Young Minerva, Aversa, etc. At the end of the day, Sheena is probably 95-99% as performant as Flame Emperor with this new refine. And if you don't care to stay in tier 21 and are happy to hop between 20 and 21, she is fine. I'd still prefer Ross or Echidna, but if this is all you got, I think the refine makes her into a good unit now. It gives her 7 more attack, which largely fixes her biggest weakness and brings it up pretty pretty close to Flame Emperor. Flame Emperor also needs DC and Special Fighter from Nagi or Valentine Ike while Sheena can get away with the more accessible Vengeful Fighter combo as it comes from a combat manual if you don't have Legendary Hector. Overall, Sheena is now an incredibly easy unit to put together and her performance is solid for the very low opportunity cost.

I refined Beloved Zofia immediately. F!Celica had been sitting on my bench for well over a year, but I'd already invested a lot into her. She's always had decent mixed bulk, so Distant Counter is something I gave her a long time ago. I haven't pulled the trigger on Close Call yet because I'd have to fodder my only F!Ike. For the time being, she's got Vantage. Haven't been able to make up my mind on a good C-skill either - she's got Odd Attack Wave for now. Heavy Blade plus Aether means she's usually ready with her special at the beginning of the second combat to top off help keep herself up. It isn't flawless, but it's pretty damn good. She basically solo'd the Eirika and Innes BHB for me (with a tiny bit of dancing help to deal with the mages).
Im so hyped fir berkut's refine, he looks so god damn good, especially how it works with Brasperation, while leaving open the taking role if needed. Now hopefully Lissa can get a refine,,,,,,,, maybe,,,,,,, please IS, I don't want the razzle dazzle, I want cool effects,,,,,,,
surprised Fury wasn't mentioned as her stats go through the roof and I think it's slightly better than the swift sparrow and atk/def solo due to it being a dual phase skill unlike swift sparrow and isn't as gimicky as solo (which I think should be left to the units whose personal weapon compliments solo skills like F.Julia) just the idea of +12 or 11 is pretty noteworthy the only aspect that might be at fault is the hp healing but at the least fury will make the refine active alot more
I feel like F! Celica 's refine is the best for me. I'm slowly merging F! Berkut and F! Corrin so I don't really feel the need to have a +10 normal berkut or corrin
Not really a glass cannon imo, if you have a +Res Celica you got 32 30 defenses with her weapon effects it becomes 40 38, add in some good skills to use while initiating combat and she will basically have an armoured unit stats in combat.

F!Celica definitely needed more than just her original unique weapon, so I'm super happy this is what it turned out to be... I also really dig F!Corrin and Berkut's refines... My personal favorites are definitely Corrin and Celica 'cause I really dig their art styles... I'm one who likes their art style to match how good their weapons are, PM1...
You are SEVERELY underestimating Corrin. Sacred Cowl is DEFINITELY the way to go, her Atk is decent enough to get the damage in, and a single Chill Res and a healer turns her into an utter monster. She annihilated Seliph's Abyssal map with this refine almost single handedly. EDIT: also worth mentioning, Panic-affected stat bonuses DO get counted by the Debuff Doubler, so Corrin (and Saizo, wich I guess should always equip Panic Smoke whenever possible) can get a potential +14 in all stats with some support. With Corrin's good HP, the Panic Ploy seal is the obvious way to go unless you have it on someone else in the team.
I cheered when Sheena got a Guard refine because she's been the backbone of my Arena team, and denying special charges to enemies is so much better than raw stats.

I’m glad Female Corrin and Sheeva got a weapon refine after I pretty much gave up on them. I haven’t logged in for a while so I forgot what I had on them but I know that Sheeva had Luna and honed armor.
I've never been this hyped over weapon refines before, 3 of my favs characters got one, female Corrin,Berkut and Celica, I'm going to refine all of their weapons, specially Celica cause I always use her :D
I have a +10 Sheena who used Wó Gun+. I was kinda hoping they'd give her a Slaying Wó weapon, then the refine ability similar to Gwendy, but half is still good. Corrin's refine is fantastic. It's a much better weapon refine than Tiki's Breath. While Fog is good; Gloom is crazy good. Berkut's is exceptional for him. I have had 2 F!Celica's since she first came out...both have been foddered for Chill Spd. But this refine actually does bring her into a new age competitively.
Massive lol! The hilarious think for me is that I been paired Saizo and Corrin together for the massive debuffs to take on even the most insane abyssal maps along with legendary Azura and Eliwood on the team for the Bonus doubler buffs. The fact that Corrin weapon refine is very similar to Saizo feels like it was their destiny to destroy everything ha ha!
I like Corrins mainly because I have a 5 star DC Corrin soo itll be easier to build on a f2p budget, Berkuit I foddered off a while ago, Sheena, eh and Fallen Celica i have never pulled
Fallen Celica now pairs well with Duma, Surtr, and Halloween Hector. They can deal chip damage to enemies without engaging in combat, and if Fallen Celica attacks an enemy that received chip damage, she will be able to take full advantage of her weapon during her first round of combat.
I have Celica her refinement and DC/Close Call and she soled Innes’ and Eirika’s bhb. I feel like too many people are hung up with the mistranslation. Still better than other 5 stars like Leif or Mage imo
The +8 speed and the passive healing makes her a great user of Repel and CC. Tho she may need Savage blow since the "if enemy initiates combat" part is just a mistranslation
Yeah, I was about to honestly but any kind of brave weapon/dazzling effect just ruins it, I have used that build myself on my Ares with infinite Miracle+Mystic Boost and it's possible on so many units due to these self healing weapons now haha
The double Galeforce armor tank for Sheena was a really interesting build. I have no problem giving Sheena the fodder, but I have no idea who would be a good partner with her. Do you have any recommendations?
So grateful none of these refines were trash. A little bummed at how Berkut outshines Dimitri now in a lot of ways, as if Dimi wasn't suffering enough in the meta. I hope they saved some of this good refine juice for the dancers and effie.
Wouldn't the -7Atk and -7Spd debuff give Corrin +7def/Res +7Spd instead of +7Atk and +7Spd? As the debuff of the weapon concentrates on the Atk and Spd of the foe but doesn't inflict a debuff on the def/res. Only if you were to include the refine to the weapon, there would be a "buff" to her Atk but then wouldn't it look more like this: +7Atk +14Spd +7Def/Res Looks pretty strong to me lol Please correct me if I am wrong here lol. Anyways, amazing video as always!
About Celica, I know you said it was a mistranslation, but when I go into the refine section for F!Celica, I see “If foe initiates combat or if units HP < 100% grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res +4 to unit during combat, and if unit deals damage to foe during combat, restores 7 HP to unit. (Triggers even if 0 damage is dealt). The “If foe’s HP is below 100%” thing isn’t there for me. Edit: also, where on earth did you get a Solo seal from? I have not seen a single one in Tempest Trials or forging
Is it actually a good idea to use F!Corrin now in Arena? I use in Earth Season L!Ike, Ross & Rafiel but I'm unsure if F!Corrin would help me to stay in T 21 in Earth Seasons.
I'm happy for Berkut getting a refine but I feel like lull atk/def was a wasted effect since he naturally has access to it. It would have been better if he had a guaranteed follow up since that's leagues better than running QR in the B slot
Well every time you mention, you would not recommend merging these old armor units, because they are outdated and there are better scoring bots. Meanwhile me: I have waited for Sheenas Refine and hoped it would be as good as Gwendolyn, so that I would love to merge her, because I really like her design and I used her quiet often back in the days of Book I and II even she was unmerged. And of course, I don't really care about scoring at all and I prefer to merge units that I like for whatever reason (even there are a few +10 Units I have, that I merged mainly for "yeah ok, they are decent/strong units or at least could be"). And what should I say, I am able to make it through almost all the in game content and fighting other players units with almost Book I units very successfully. In Arena I am going up and down between Tier 19 and 20 and I am pretty fine with it, if one of my nearly 30 +10 Units is a bonus unit, I am also able to reach tier 21. And AR...I always try my best, but main goal is to stay in tier 21, this mode sucks so heavily...Maybe I will use the nur auto function for AR, but don't know I will see later.
Male Corrin’s refine is top tier. I use. Fallen Corrin is insane. I use. Now Female Corrin. Man I need some diversity but I can’t help it. She’ll definitely love Def/Res Ruse ally or Dagger.

I just built Saizo a little before the bridal banner lol, but I still feel like his weapon is a little more useful
saizo can debuff atk/spd/def/res but corrin only debuff atk/spd but someone can build her threathen def or res so tes saizo is better

I would HIGHLY argue that Flame Emperor is a poor choice to spend your grails on with so many amazing options in Itsuki, Kronya, Brunnya, Young Minerva, Aversa, etc. At the end of the day, Sheena is probably 95-99% as performant as Flame Emperor with this new refine. And if you don't care to stay in tier 21 and are happy to hop between 20 and 21, she is fine. I'd still prefer Ross or Echidna, but if this is all you got, I think the refine makes her into a good unit now. It gives her 7 more attack, which largely fixes her biggest weakness and brings it up pretty pretty close to Flame Emperor. Flame Emperor also needs DC and Special Fighter from Nagi or Valentine Ike while Sheena can get away with the more accessible Vengeful Fighter combo as it comes from a combat manual if you don't have Legendary Hector. Overall, Sheena is now an incredibly easy unit to put together and her performance is solid for the very low opportunity cost.
the Berkut refine is seriously good. I've had one at +10 for a while now and I'm very satisfied. Hoping my Xander gets a refine also. QR 5 if we lucky baby!
I refined Beloved Zofia immediately. F!Celica had been sitting on my bench for well over a year, but I'd already invested a lot into her. She's always had decent mixed bulk, so Distant Counter is something I gave her a long time ago. I haven't pulled the trigger on Close Call yet because I'd have to fodder my only F!Ike. For the time being, she's got Vantage. Haven't been able to make up my mind on a good C-skill either - she's got Odd Attack Wave for now. Heavy Blade plus Aether means she's usually ready with her special at the beginning of the second combat to top off help keep herself up. It isn't flawless, but it's pretty damn good. She basically solo'd the Eirika and Innes BHB for me (with a tiny bit of dancing help to deal with the mages).
Im so hyped fir berkut's refine, he looks so god damn good, especially how it works with Brasperation, while leaving open the taking role if needed. Now hopefully Lissa can get a refine,,,,,,,, maybe,,,,,,, please IS, I don't want the razzle dazzle, I want cool effects,,,,,,,
surprised Fury wasn't mentioned as her stats go through the roof and I think it's slightly better than the swift sparrow and atk/def solo due to it being a dual phase skill unlike swift sparrow and isn't as gimicky as solo (which I think should be left to the units whose personal weapon compliments solo skills like F.Julia) just the idea of +12 or 11 is pretty noteworthy the only aspect that might be at fault is the hp healing but at the least fury will make the refine active alot more
I like debuffs and such shenanigans, but on ranged units. without any kind of close/distant counter investment. I wonder how they'll treat male Corn.

I feel like F! Celica 's refine is the best for me. I'm slowly merging F! Berkut and F! Corrin so I don't really feel the need to have a +10 normal berkut or corrin

Not really a glass cannon imo, if you have a +Res Celica you got 32 30 defenses with her weapon effects it becomes 40 38, add in some good skills to use while initiating combat and she will basically have an armoured unit stats in combat.
Say that again once you see +10 Close call F!Celica ruining your day

F!Celica definitely needed more than just her original unique weapon, so I'm super happy this is what it turned out to be... I also really dig F!Corrin and Berkut's refines... My personal favorites are definitely Corrin and Celica 'cause I really dig their art styles... I'm one who likes their art style to match how good their weapons are, PM1...

You are SEVERELY underestimating Corrin. Sacred Cowl is DEFINITELY the way to go, her Atk is decent enough to get the damage in, and a single Chill Res and a healer turns her into an utter monster. She annihilated Seliph's Abyssal map with this refine almost single handedly.
EDIT: also worth mentioning, Panic-affected stat bonuses DO get counted by the Debuff Doubler, so Corrin (and Saizo, wich I guess should always equip Panic Smoke whenever possible) can get a potential +14 in all stats with some support. With Corrin's good HP, the Panic Ploy seal is the obvious way to go unless you have it on someone else in the team.
I cheered when Sheena got a Guard refine because she's been the backbone of my Arena team, and denying special charges to enemies is so much better than raw stats.

I’m glad Female Corrin and Sheeva got a weapon refine after I pretty much gave up on them. I haven’t logged in for a while so I forgot what I had on them but I know that Sheeva had Luna and honed armor.
I've never been this hyped over weapon refines before, 3 of my favs characters got one, female Corrin,Berkut and Celica, I'm going to refine all of their weapons, specially Celica cause I always use her :D

I have a +10 Sheena who used Wó Gun+. I was kinda hoping they'd give her a Slaying Wó weapon, then the refine ability similar to Gwendy, but half is still good.
Corrin's refine is fantastic. It's a much better weapon refine than Tiki's Breath. While Fog is good; Gloom is crazy good.
Berkut's is exceptional for him.
I have had 2 F!Celica's since she first came out...both have been foddered for Chill Spd. But this refine actually does bring her into a new age competitively.

Massive lol! The hilarious think for me is that I been paired Saizo and Corrin together for the massive debuffs to take on even the most insane abyssal maps along with legendary Azura and Eliwood on the team for the Bonus doubler buffs. The fact that Corrin weapon refine is very similar to Saizo feels like it was their destiny to destroy everything ha ha!
I like Corrins mainly because I have a 5 star DC Corrin soo itll be easier to build on a f2p budget, Berkuit I foddered off a while ago, Sheena, eh and Fallen Celica i have never pulled
I wish Corrin's refine was a bit stronger, but what she got is quite good.
Fallen Celica now pairs well with Duma, Surtr, and Halloween Hector. They can deal chip damage to enemies without engaging in combat, and if Fallen Celica attacks an enemy that received chip damage, she will be able to take full advantage of her weapon during her first round of combat.
Refined my F!Celica right away, and she's a monster! She already had 59 atk due to LnD4, with the weapon refine she reaches 67 atk UNMERGED!!
I have Celica her refinement and DC/Close Call and she soled Innes’ and Eirika’s bhb. I feel like too many people are hung up with the mistranslation. Still better than other 5 stars like Leif or Mage imo
The +8 speed and the passive healing makes her a great user of Repel and CC. Tho she may need Savage blow since the "if enemy initiates combat" part is just a mistranslation

Yeah, I was about to honestly but any kind of brave weapon/dazzling effect just ruins it, I have used that build myself on my Ares with infinite Miracle+Mystic Boost and it's possible on so many units due to these self healing weapons now haha

The double Galeforce armor tank for Sheena was a really interesting build. I have no problem giving Sheena the fodder, but I have no idea who would be a good partner with her. Do you have any recommendations?
So grateful none of these refines were trash. A little bummed at how Berkut outshines Dimitri now in a lot of ways, as if Dimi wasn't suffering enough in the meta.

I +10 merged my Corrin, I have Spd/Def tank, probably one of my most powerful builds
I've built Saizo, so building a corrin may be a nice pairing to his skillset.
All the gen 1 armors except for hector got refines now. Now for fae and nowi to get theirs.

Wouldn't the -7Atk and -7Spd debuff give Corrin +7def/Res +7Spd instead of +7Atk and +7Spd? As the debuff of the weapon concentrates on the Atk and Spd of the foe but doesn't inflict a debuff on the def/res. Only if you were to include the refine to the weapon, there would be a "buff" to her Atk but then wouldn't it look more like this: +7Atk +14Spd +7Def/Res

I use Aegis/Pavise with Shield pulse on my Sheena. It's interesting to say the least, very much doubles down on her defensive role

About Celica, I know you said it was a mistranslation, but when I go into the refine section for F!Celica, I see “If foe initiates combat or if units HP < 100% grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res +4 to unit during combat, and if unit deals damage to foe during combat, restores 7 HP to unit. (Triggers even if 0 damage is dealt). The “If foe’s HP is below 100%” thing isn’t there for me.
Edit: also, where on earth did you get a Solo seal from? I have not seen a single one in Tempest Trials or forging

I'm happy for Berkut getting a refine but I feel like lull atk/def was a wasted effect since he naturally has access to it. It would have been better if he had a guaranteed follow up since that's leagues better than running QR in the B slot

Well every time you mention, you would not recommend merging these old armor units, because they are outdated and there are better scoring bots.
Meanwhile me: I have waited for Sheenas Refine and hoped it would be as good as Gwendolyn, so that I would love to merge her, because I really like her design and I used her quiet often back in the days of Book I and II even she was unmerged. And of course, I don't really care about scoring at all and I prefer to merge units that I like for whatever reason (even there are a few +10 Units I have, that I merged mainly for "yeah ok, they are decent/strong units or at least could be").
And what should I say, I am able to make it through almost all the in game content and fighting other players units with almost Book I units very successfully. In Arena I am going up and down between Tier 19 and 20 and I am pretty fine with it, if one of my nearly 30 +10 Units is a bonus unit, I am also able to reach tier 21. And AR...I always try my best, but main goal is to stay in tier 21, this mode sucks so heavily...Maybe I will use the nur auto function for AR, but don't know I will see later.

Fallen Corrin is insane. I use.
Now Female Corrin. Man I need some diversity but I can’t help it. She’ll definitely love Def/Res Ruse ally or Dagger.
