Making a split easel card is not only fun it’s easy too! I've made 2 cards to share with you today--one for Halloween and one as a Christmas Card. You can obviously substitute whatever stamps you have and make the card for any occasion.
What Do I need To Make An Easel Card?
- 2-3 colors of cardstock
- White cardstock
- A stamp set
- Paper Trimmer
That's all you need! Follow along with the video tutorial and make your card with me!

I made this card using green card stock and green/pink polka dot card stock. It has a Christmas tree when you open it. It came out really cute! Mrs. Ed

Well how fun is this card! I made 8 of them (assembly-line style)! I made the center oval read "woof! woof!" instead of merry christmas. hope the recipients find it as funny as i do! thanks for sharing!

Love Easel and pop up cards. But I have found that if you want to put money or gift card included in the card,there is no place to put it without if falling out. So what I did. I made a small envelope that matches the card and attached it to the back. I put in arrow in the bottom right corner,so hopefully without saying,they turn the card over. I did a box of balloons pop up and on the back envelope I put a balloon on it and wrote "open" on it. It all went into the envelope that matched, and sealed with a reposition glue dot. So far they have loved the cards. Thanks for sharing this. Love your videos .

So cute--and they go together quickly. Like Brenda C, I'm wondering if some recipients don't know they can stand them up....I've got a little tag that I can affix to the back showing how to stand them up.

Love it!! Do you by any chance have a little insert of some kind that shows how an easel card is supposed to be displayed?? I find the recipients of the cards don’t realize it’s a card that “stands up” on its own! I stopped making these for a long time due to this issue. I tried to create an insert, but boy! Not my forte! 😳. Thanks for sharing! 😁❤️👍🏻
I have a similar concern when sending infinity cards.

Excellent question. I do cards for nursing home seniors and most have no idea of how this card should be displayed. Like you I had to add a note, which probably didn’t help so I just quit.
Wendy, maybe just a post it note with instructions. Or a small photo showing it displayed.
