Nux there’s something you NEED to know. FNAF 1 didn’t have any codes or anything like that. It had some newspaper clippings and that’s it. Scott thought that was going to be the LAST video game he ever made, because he had been STRUGGLING as a video game designer up until that point.
Especially when he released chipper and sons lumber Co all the reviews said his cute animals looked like creepy animatronics because of their design and how they moved, so he was gonna quit game developing because he wasn't financially stable for his family, but he decided to do one last game and take the hate criticism and work with that to make what we love today lol pretty cool coming to riches story
@@NoviNovaVR To be fair, he generally did take whichever criticism he got and would improve on it on the next titles. It was a thing that generally happened even before Chipper. The last one in particular happened to blow up
I absolutely love how Nux was confused over who was freed from what for just about half a second, until he realized what happened and just said "Okay, William gets free" until the horrific ramifications of the event that JUST occurred settles in and his immediate reaction to this is "oh GOD, dude, he's free"
"Although for one of you, the darkest pit of hell has opened, to swallow you whole, so don't keep the devil waiting old friend." Has to be one of the best lines ever written period imo, you cant convince me otherwise, its so direct and menacing, no matter the context of where its used
2:01:51 Funny how Nux just hears the lore of UCN and immediately compares it to Diavolo's ever-cycling death scenarios like that, just out of the blue. Who's gonna be the one to tell him that Diavolo is voiced by the same guy as Freddy Fazbear?
What's particularly interesting is that the story of William Afton is a story about a man in the modern format discovering necromancy and becoming a legitimate Lich.
That's a good point. It's not something you see much of. The FNAF story as a whole has a ton of uniqueness to it when you think about things like this.
For me what’s more interesting is in Ultimate Night Puppet will explain the dynamic between it and the other animatronics “the others are like animals, but I’m very aware” the spirits in the other suits are conscious but aren’t really aware of what’s happening, it mostly emotion and instinct. Charlie has full awareness of what’s happened and what’s happening. Even Circus Baby acts less like a child and more like a robot despite having full range of thought, sometimes Circus Baby talks as if they’re the animatronic itself and not Elisabeth, Henry even doubts she remembers her own name. In a twisted form of necromancy the souls have lost all sense of self and being life to machines not fully grasping what they even are, while holding the ability to act and think.
It would make sense for Evan to be the one that didn't move on, as the last thing he heard before dying was his father saying sorry to him and that he'll fix him, and he probably grew to resent his father over time when he finds out that his father not only got his sister killed, but murdered other kids as well.
@@fist-of-doom487 In the ending dialogue of Pizzaria simulator the guy tells the Animatronics to "release their spirits because they're not yours" maybe im paraphrasing but uuuuuuuuuu that kinda sounds like the animatronics are the animatronics animated with the childs spirits. Not all of the animatronics in that game are the ones in the others but Circus Baby does show up as a withered Circus Baby.
The way I see it, FNAF got popular because of two things: the sacres, and laughing at people getting scared, that’s what drew people to it (as well as Mark, Jack, and Pewdiepie). Second: the mystery of the lore. Piercing together the story of the franchise into a timeline was a community event, for all fans to cooperate to figure out. It’s what knit the community so tightly together, and solving it has taken ten years now! Even now, fans still theorize on the latest releases.
The mystery of what info we are missing triggers the human urge to complete things if you see a puzzle with just a few pieces missing you want to complete it because it looks off or if you are about to complete a level in a game but have to go your brain reminds you that something must be completed and you won't get relief with out it being done
I know I got into it because a frenemy in school was talking about the teasers for FNAF 3 (which was, at the time, upcoming), and we got to theorizing, which got me interested in looking at the rest of the series. But I do agree: FNAF is so let's play friendly because you can see these wacky personalities being scared without having to do the scary stuff yourself.
Nux, you SHOULD react to Mattpatt's 4-part Ultimate Timeline. Trust me, you'll get even more lore due to Matt using lore weaned from the novels, tying this all together better. You'll learn more about all the characters, especially William, Henry, and Michael. Plus you'll learn about Security Breach.
@sunthorn4782 No, it's really not. The only part that could be considered fan fiction was the inclusion of Misses Afton as CEO of the SB Fazbear Entertainment, but... Someone has to be, and there are context clues that point to her. The rest of the timeline was pieced together with information from the games and books. A lot of the stuff you consider fanfiction came from "The Silver Eyes."
@@SpacePirateLord Did you just try to explain book parallels to me? The books also reveal that Burntrap isn’t Afton. He literally makes up Afton’s backstory and motivations with the only connective tissue being “Afton is jealous” and “Chica is important for some reason”
@sunthorn4782 Different books have different canonicity. Each one however has clearly repeated themes. Mat is using themes from those books to fill in the blanks. I don't see the problem with that honestly. Just as Wendigoon points out, Mat has uncovered so much lore over the years. It's best to trust his judgment on things, until we get information that directly contradicts it. So far not much contradicts his timeline honestly. Even the reveals in Ruin don't necessarily mess anything in those videos up. A lot of people think the Mimic was Burntrap, but I really doubt that. The Mimic was trapped in a walled off area way further in, seemingly connected to Circus Baby's. I doubt very much he was Glitchtrap or Burntrap. To me, he just seems to be an attempt by Scott to create a new villain going forwards since people complained about Afton in SB. Either way Wendigoon is making stuff up on theorizing as well, sooo.... What does it matter? One HAS to do so when info is missing. While I respect Wendigoon, I heartily disagree with his assertion that Elizabeth died before Charlie. I feel like it's more accurate, and makes more sense, to say Afton created Circus Baby after his first real kill.
One thing that Wendigoon didn't mention which is why a lot of us say the MCI happens at a location before the FNaF 2 one is because they welcome you on the phone to your "new summer job" despite your paycheck being in the middle of november, meaning its just the nightguard listening to old recordings from some earlier time.
That and while the books are a hot debate for a lot of people but 2 different book series (the silver eyes and fazbear frights) straight up tell us it happened in 1985 which is before fnaf 2
Weren't those live phone calls? At least the Night 4 and Night 5 ones were telling about the investigation and Night 6 when he calls to inform you of the building being on lockdown?
@Takejiro24 1 it’s for sure pre recorded as Phone Guy says they are, 3 the phone guy calls are also pre recorded, so there is the tendency to have them pre recorded already and so that plus the “new summer job” in November makes it feel like they’re pre recorded
@@Takejiro24 Let me rephrase what I said. FNaF 1's Night 4 call has phone guy say "I'm glad I recorded these messages when I did" and Phone Dude in 3 says that these are old tapes he found. With 1 and 3's calls from Phone Guy being recorded beforehand and 2 never saying specifically its live calling or prerecorded, plus the dates for what he says in the calls not lining up with the paycheck date, we can assume 2's calls are also prerecorded and not live.
why it would be annoying? is literally the world-building of fnaf, the guy in the video is totally wrong by ignoring the remnants just because he dont like it, michael is just alive because of it, you cant remove the main reason for the whole lore existing.
@@yui12343Because it has an explanation for the hauntings that weren't necessary. You could write it as William icing kids to see what causes possession just to see if he could reverse it or create a body for his kid.
Those things I always hated about the lore, for some reason I can suspend my disbelief with children possessing animatronics but remnant and fazgoo always sounded so ridiculous 😂
@@FubukiTheIcyKingi believe he just never wanted to revived his kid since in the books it says how afton experimented with his kids and that explains fnaf 4 and how it was just part of an experiment and he just study the remnant and agony of the kids.
As someone who watched a lot of matpat lore videos when they came out, a big reason why there is so many is because each new game brought so much new stuff to the table. But I don't think people realise how fast new stuff came out back then. Between 2014-2015 we had FNaF 1-4, The first novel and the announcement of the FNaF Movie. Not to mention countless teaser images to analyse. By the time you have one theory new info can debunk that again. What I also like is how Matpat's videos are basically an archive of the fnaf theory history. They show you what info we had, what most of the community believed back then, how we got a lot of the info, etc. I always recommend them to people who have the time to watch them in order. Not because they're correct or crucial, but because I personally think it's important to know how we got here (while having around 10 years of lore spread out instead of shoved at you in a few hours).
One more thing to haunt you nux, during the old man consequences pond scene I. The background noise slowed down is the audio of afton screaming for help as he's suffering in his torture.
I think the only bit Wendigoon might have wrong here is that Initially we have no evidence William realized Evan was in Fredbear, and instead fell apart and was driven to drink (Ala the Midnight Motorist minigame) before in a fit of drunken rage taking misguided "revenge" on Henry Emily by murdering his daughter Charlotte/Charlie, who latter possessed the Security Puppet, which itself was built in response to Evan's unfortunate demise. Also, there are distinctly different styles in the differing animatronics and it is theorized (and possibly confirmed?) That Henry Emily prior to being a business partner was involved in if not manager of a rival chain headlined by Chica. While Matpat's ultimate timeline was apparently wrong in the final episode covering security breach, his first three episodes covering the vast majority of the FNAF timeline is SPOT ON.
Yup, the first child was evan, but that didn't necessarily start william's mad scientist journey. The design of freddy is VARY similar to henry's animatronics, so it's probably henry's animatronic, and THAT'S why william killed charlie, because he blames henry for his son's death. Then he LIKED killing, so he probably went on the murdering spree, and made an animatronics SPECIFICALLY to kill children, but then killed his OWN daughter by mistake, in which he noticed that baby got possessed by elizabeth, and that's what started his obsession with immortality.
Except for the 87 part. Like how does fnaf 2 being the prequel explain the part where the old animatronics from fnaf 1 exactly come from??? Like they're SUPPOSED to be old already SINCE fnaf 1 and fnaf 2 the toy versions to be more technologically better than the firsts ones with them having face recognitions?
@@lightningjadejavier the bite of 87 was mangle taking off someone's frontal lobe. If you're referring to 2 taking place before 1... yeah I got nothing there. Perhaps Mike got fired in FNAF 1 before he could fully figure out how to free the souls, and it was in FNAF 2+ that he made a habit of using cleansing fire?
@@lightningjadejavier it could be that they got rid of the toys because of the facial recognition malfunctioning an biting off mike's forehead? Also they could've fixed up the animatronics a little bit before reopening the location, that would make sense.
Henry as a character, while not that present, was part of the story back when fnaf world came out, which was a spinoff that came out directly after fnaf 4 and teased sister location. He's also present in the first trilogy of books, which also came out around the time. So he wasn't exactly shoved into the lore per se
He was added into the lore after most of the story had already been established. Yeah, he existed before Fnaf 5, but there were opportunities to integrate him more smoothly. Overall, it's clear Henry was more of an afterthought in Scott's mind when building the world.
He wasn't even confirmed to be Henry at that time lmfao. We all thought it was just Scott expressing how frustrated he is followed by baby killing him, which was the very first teaser for sister location. We never knew who Henry was until during the books and sister location (both coming out AFTER fnaf world) and only just recently pieced that that was in fact Henry Blud wasn't there when the game was made 💀💀💀
If Henry was the original restaurant owner of Fredbear's Family Diner (as he was one of two in the Silver Eyes trilogy) then he was foreshadowed as far back as FNAF 2.
So basically as a short explanation as to why Micheal was still alive, Elizabeth says "you wont die" repeatedly which can be taken as Elizabeth cursing her brother to not die much like how William was cursed by the kids to not die(this is because its ridiculous that William wouldnt poof even after being burned multiple times)
Well my headcanon is that he doesn't die because he got "killed" by the scooper witch was specifically made to make the soul stick to it's immediate surroundings.
@@niilopartanen2148 well that falls to the "trying to explain supernatural stuff with science" type of niche which just seems really lousy from a story perspective and how it ruins the supernatural aspect of it. I'm one of those people who don't really buy the whole "remnant" thing
@xenoking2739 Wdym you "don't buy the whole remnant thing"? That's an established part of the lore and has been for a while. The blueprints for the scooper found in Pizza Sim confirm that it has a remnant extractor/injector, so the best explanation for Michael being alive is that he was injected with remnant
@@Man-san2397 I would argue it is more lousy to say "spirit attached to robot because I said so" more than remnant. Because in the real world if something to do with possession like fnaf happened, scientists like William would try to work out the science of how it works. I say its less lousy for Scott to try and give some explanation than to say just because. It also makes it feel more real because its what would happen irl.
@@Man-san2397 well you're opinion on remnant doesn't really matter (i dont mean that in a rude way and i also think it the super natural stuff shouldn't have been explained with science) because its a thing that 100% exists in this franchise as its been named in fnaf ar and fnaf 6 (insanity ending) and explained in the novel trilogy and even got expanded upon in fazbear flights with stuff like agony (side note afton becoming a giant monster made of the trash and the items that caused the agony in most of the stories of fazbear frights is so cool and stupid)
45:40 I think it makes more sense that Michael would be going to Evans burial ground, considering there is an unmarked pile of dirt in the minigame which is supposedly a grave
As for cassidy being the “one who he shouldn’t have killed”, its known by the fandom that William killed them the most brutally. William mangled that child and let lose, putting all of his insanity into one innocent unsuspecting child just to mess with Henry.
I think the only part of this that is kind of wrong is the bits about WHO built WHICH robots, because the books tell us that when the business first started HENRY was the guy who built robots and WILLIAM was the guy who handled the actual BUSINESS side of things. Eventually William began to ALSO take an interest in robotics and began to make his OWN robotics company but Henry was the one who made the initial few rounds of animatronics. Other than that this is a pretty reasonable and well thought out interpretation of the timeline.
There were several points wrong with this timeline, there's even lines in the game that disproves most of what wendigoon said. Susie/chika being the first child killed was shown with her line in custom nights saying the she was the first and she knows everything or saw everything. He didn't put the children's bodies in the animatronics before the 5 children. There had to have been more then five children killed if you also consider the newer animatronics from the fnaf series, that should take more souls then just five. It's extremely debatable on who was the first to die between Elizabeth and Evan, but it would make more sense for it to be Elizabeth considering the fact that she's already gone by the time we get the free time to move around as Evan, with her room being empty and her being gone the entire game. It also makes sense for why William would want to monitor his children and make them afraid of the animatronics. Just watch matpat he knows what he's doing when it comes to fnaf lore.
Well as Help Wanted 2 directly shows us order of the Missing Children (including putting Charlie/Puppet as the last victim of that event). It's really unsure who did what and who is actually at fault in the earlier deaths. For example both books and the games (with original models) kinda imply that Circus Baby was originally a Henry creation. So there is a chance that either she was a mistake made by Willam who stole Henry's animatronic that lead to Elizabeth's demise. Or William was already kinda off the wall and he did plan to discredit Henry or just straight up unlive some kids - by altering Baby enough to make her a killing machine. Which could also be a revenge for Afton Jr. getting chomped by Fredbear and Henry escaping with no consequences. If, we assume he was first. There is a chance that Elizabeth died when he was in hospital or before that - as a reason to why we don't see her in the room. But she could have also easily died second - but just being away from home with her own mother or William. But then on the other hand Baby happening first would explain why William was so controlling of his children. Help Wanted 2 and the correct order also kinda could explain why Charlie was attacked - it could have been a revenge to Henry after years of mistreatment and potential pushing him as the main suspect for Missing Children Incident. He tried to learn how he did Elizabeth to revive his son as well. So he kidnapped the five - which then let to him being put in jail. Then Henry locked him out, added all the security animatronics and tried to make sure it wouldn't happen again - which infuriated William. Who after his usual Midnight drives to home during rain, found Charlie outside and decided for that to be the best occasion to get some revenge.
@@mjm3091 I thought the books ran on a completely different canon from the games, cause most of the events in the books didn't really correlated with the events that happen in the games. The only book that had similar events to the game so far was the security guard guide book.
All right I'll just say this the silver eyes trilogy is completely non-canon to the games and is a different universes and some of the information can be used but overall it is not canon to the games the Fazbear frights epilogues are Canon but overall story isn't While tales of the pizza Plex is completely Canon and shows us a lot for instance FNAF 4 is not nightmares it's actually gas that really made to experimented on his son's either being Michael or Evan it doesn't matter also this video makes it seem like William cared about his kids that's a lie he doesn't
@@ultrastormvalentine5483 1) I always thought that line meant Chica was the first of the missing children to be lured away and killed. She saw everything that transpired that day. 2) I agree. 3) This has always puzzled me too. Given that Afton was able to make the Funtimes haunted using only parts of the other haunted animatronics, perhaps he did this more often than we thought? Experimented around? 4) Couldn't Elizabeth just be out with her mother who is also absent? Showing her room can just be to establish her existence early on. Or perhaps Elizabeth is the girl with the orange pigtails (like Circus Baby) and green eyes? It was the 80s; blonde wigs were everywhere. 😂 Monitoring his kids so much is strange, sure, but he could just want them to stay away from machinery strong enough to crush skulls. Given that Michael is clearly a mischievous prankster kid, I can see why he'd want to be extra sure to keep them safe from accidentally getting hurt on his stuff. It would add another layer of irony to them dying to his contraptions later.
I know it is never gonna happen, but I really want Nux to react to this one, purely because the amount of deep dive that goes into it is INSANE and it is one of the best FNAF timelines that were ever made imho. It also brings up some new fresh ideas that I don't think have ever been discussed before by the community. It is right up Nux's alley, especially because it talks about the evolution of the games as a whole and not just the in-game lore. Or at least that's what I think.
Wendigoon and Nux gave some pretty valid criticisms of Henry’s actions (or rather his inaction) and faults in this, that I’ve never previously thought about. I want to believe he was completely ignorant and unaware of William’s crimes against humanity with the animatronics, but there’s no way someone like him who was in charge of the financial and marketing ends of the company didn’t know about the features William specifically chose to include in the animatronics, and the subsequent costs to include them. I get how he probably fell into a never-ending depression after Charlie’s death, but to never suspect William for it after the death of “Evan” is just too perfect. He had to have known his former business partner was directly responsible, as well as his own negligence for that matter. But of course, his speech in the end of FNAF6 is haunting. The resignation in his voice, is that of a man who just wants to close his eyes, and never have to open them again. The indifference of him asking Elizabeth is she even recalls her original name because of HOW LONG she’s been trapped in Circus Baby (now Scrap Baby), and the fact that he stays in his office making that call as the temperature reaches 180 degrees from the fire…He should be SCREAMING in agony from the heat, but that’s probably just how dead inside he feels by now, how resigned he is to his fate. He’d rather stay in there and burn alive, because how many moments of fatherhood did he lose out on experiencing, when Charlie probably died before she was 10? And the timeline suggests it’s been at least 30 years. He’d be well into the autumn or winter of his life, between his mid 60s~early 80s…it’s just so sad.😢
One more thing, I have a personal headcanon that gives more reason to Cassidy being "The One You Should Not Have Killed" and that is that the Missing children's incident happened on her birthday. All the kids were her friends that were at her party at Freddy's, and William lured them all (Cassidy specifically) by saying that he had a 'birthday surprise' for her.
Nux asked for someone to explain how FNAF got popular, so here we go: FNAF was released at a very opportune time. It was released at a time where youtube's horror let's plays were popular, but also at a time when there wasn't many other titles coming out that they could react to, so a few let's-players, most notably Markiplier, decided to try out this small unknown indie game, hoping to make a quick video out of it to give their viewers something to watch until the next big game would come out. One thing you need to understand in order to know why FNAF became popular, is what most horror games were like during this era. Most horror games at the time, were practically action games with scary backdrops (like Silent hill or Resident Evil). The only other common type of horror games were the slenderman rip-offs. What all these games held in common, is that they involve running and/or fighting against the monster. FNAF was different. When the let's-players opened up this game, they found themselves trapped in a room, unable to move. Their only method of survival was a door running on AA batteries. This stark contrast between being able to run around in open spaces in most other games, to only being allowed to look left or right, was much different from any other horror game at the time. Within the horror game community, FNAf had spread rapidly. It was easy to make a video out of, and many viewers loved going to new channels to watch other peoples' reactions, which allowed smaller channels to grow. Another thing of note for this period of FNAF's legacy, is how Matpat made a theory about it. Matpat, while at the time a relatively small channel, still had a dedicated audience. This was during a time when his videos were mostly about poking fun at scientific inaccuracies in videogames. Or making fun an unserious theories about games, like: 'Mario is a psychopath' and 'which game character has the biggest breasts'. Matpat had at the end of one of his videos, decided to do a poll for his viewers to decide the topic of the next video: FNAF, or one of the Slenderman games. The FNAF video was Matpat's first theory that really delved into the hidden lore of a game, and this video led to a large growth in fans for both MatPat and FNAF. Although FNAF had become popular, it was a short experience. Most games like this get played once, and never get talked about again. And that might've been the case for FNAF if not for the fact that its style of game was pretty low-effort to make. Within a short period of time, Scott Cawthon had released a new sequel/prequel. Most let's-players came back to play it again, and Matpat's community began to o ver analyze the game to discover the lore. It was also around this time period that Scott released the third game, and a number of solo indie devs began to make fangames of FNAF. During this time, fan games weren't too uncommon, but many times the developers who made them had to worry about legal issues if the company who made the game wanted to have it taken down. But Scott Cawthon, who was an indie dev himself, actively supported the creation of these fan games. So a lot of rookie developers who wanted to try their hand at making games did so under FNAF's banner. That was (in my opinion) the most important factor in the spread of FNAF's popularity. Not only did a large number of good games come out that copied FNAF, but most of them actively advertised the original FNAF franchise through their own promotion. Another affect from this openness to fan creations, is that many people in the community who saw this new wave of fangames went out of their way to make something creative themselves, whether it be a fangame, fanart, or more recently FNAF-inspired analog horror series. This formed a thriving community of artists, developers, and creatives, who all actively supported each other. But since the gameplay loop of FNAF started to get boring and overdone, more innovations in the main series came out. First was FNAF World. It was a huge failure, a game that few enjoyed. But because Scott Cawthon took money out his own account and returned the full amount used to purchase the game to anyone who requested a refund, made the game completely free, and continuously updated it, this failure ended up increasing Scott's reputation as a benevolent developer. Then Scott made Sister Location. It combined the classic feeling of FNAF with elements from point & click style games, which many FNAF fans were fond of. It also added a lot of features, and was generally well received. With that game established, FNAF had truly earned a place among popular games. It has a diverse community, with a wide range of varying interests, of fans who were (and still are) willing to study this game's lore more closely than a college course, just to speculate about what direction the story will go in next. Well at least that's how it begun gaining popularity from my perspective. I'm certain there are a lot of other factors at play, but these are the ones I know of. (Edit: I had originally believed that matpat's poll that got him to make his first FNAF video was between FNAF and real-life applications of dating simulators. But I have come to find out that I was incorrect, it was actually between FNAF and Slenderman for a Halloween episode. While the Dating Simulator video was from a different poll. And thus I have corrected it.)
I actually saw FNAF for the first time by Yamimash. I believe Markiplier also says he got suggested this game from him. I’m not sure who were the earliest let’s players of FNAF, but I’m certain Yamimash was.
Markiplier reactions and matpat lore videos is definitely part of the popularity. Another is a challenging game to complete, and a drip feed of lore and its scary especially to kids
1:28:28 I can't remember if it was Mat Pat just back in the day, when things were still loose by Sister Location, but someone theorizing that Ballora was William's wife? Was it that he modeled her after his wife while Baby was modeled after his daughter then ironically is possessed by her? Been too long, just figured worth mentioning.
@@ironboy3245 Burntrap is technically the Mimic, and in the end of Ruin you face it without any ornamentation. I think in the video it is not mentioned the reason for the "Odor" situation for Michael. The reason is that in Sister Location (Which is the first location of Freddy's Michael goes to) he gets his organs scooped out which later makes him a corpse body. He literally smells like a decaying body. So that's why it is indicated that he smells bad in his paychecks. It is not that he doesn't take showers, it is literally because his body is rotten lol
@@uboa8060 No it happens before. I know it doesn't look like it since the SL anomatronics look very in the future but scott purposefully did that. I suggest you check out Matpat's theories (He will be missed) and also it states "Tampring with animatronics" and "Odor" in Michaels paycheck in Fnaf 1 so for those statements to be said firstly Michael has to have been scooped hence the bad smell and he must know that there are spirits traped inside animatronics for there to be a reason to be tampering with animatronics which Michael learns in SL as he comes across blueprints of the animatronics and there are very clearly can be found children in them. So yeah, SL takes place before fnaf 1 in the timeline. But just so you know, Michael just went to SL location first and it doesn't mean that fnaf 1 animatronics didn't exist during the same time.

Facial recognition was invented in the 1960s by Woody Bledsoe, Helen Chan Wolf, and Charles Bisson. Bledsoe developed a system that classified photos of faces through a RAND tablet, which was a graphical computer input device. He taught his computer to divide a face into features, then compare distances between them. During the 1970s, Facial Recognition continued to develop and would eventually be able to determine the hair color and lip thickness of a subject to automate the recognition. Since their inception, facial recognition systems have seen wider uses in recent times on smartphones and in other forms of technology, such as robotics.
I should say that there are Way more accurate timelines out there than this one. I would personally reccomend the first three of matpats Ultimate timeline videos
nah, I'm a big fan of both Wendi and Matpat, but Wendi's is fully and truly objective to laid out facts. Only little theories are made, since Wendigoon is pretty meticulous with his research. Matpat's is only exciting because he's willing to go above and beyond to make assumptions that fit with the narrative he made. But yeah, if you want an objective timeline, Wendigoon's is perfect
@@Vekcrazahbruh he missed fnaf world, dci, happiest day in the video. also It's outdated even more by now. At least matpat have seen how the series have flowed by and knows a lot of details
@@Vekcrazahthe difference is Mattpat doesn’t only consider his own theory but others as well. He provides both evidence to support his theory (along with direct sources so you can see yourself and the different interpretations of the differ kinds of evidence) and evidence that contradicts. Wendigoon doesn’t, not that that’s a bad thing but something to think about
@@Vekcrazahbut a lot of stuff are either different and the facts we have don't support it, or outright wrong? For example, he said that henry didn't make animatronics, but then suddenly made the puppet. Which both doesn't make sense, a guy can't randomly go around making ROBOTS in a day without studying about it for YEARS (even genius wouldn't take him THAT far) and we also know that some of the animatronics were henry's, so he definitely made animatronics before. And freddy was probably designed by him(at least the springsuit), which is what killed his son, and what made HIM want to kill henry's daughter, because it wouldn't make sense for him to just go around making killer animatronics JUST YET(he doesn't have ANY reason to believe that evan possessed golden freddy, it's not alive, doesn't have eyes, and can't move), he probably made baby AFTER killing charlie and getting a taste of murder.
When it comes to the FNAF Lore Story I cannot help but think of how it could be made into a TV show I honestly get a Breaking Bad vibe of progression when it comes to William and how it also falls down into how a man lost himself in what was seemingly “innocent” intentions Wendigoon really gave the best time line I’ve seen if it and it really makes this story so deep and compelling, like this is some good sht
The problem is that Wendigoon's timeline has parts that are just wrong. Like the fact that henry was the first to make the animatronics, William later earned a degree in engineering to start building them (there is no way someone makes the puppet after like a day of learning). He misses out HAPPIEST DAY, one of the most important parts of the story. Also William does kill 10 children, the Missing children's incident is the 5 kids that William killed in 1985, in the first Freddy's restaurant. They went on to possess the original animatronics, then the Funtimes. They're the kids from Give Gifts Give Life and Foxy GoGoGo minigames. And also completely misses out the dead children's incident another 5 kids that William killed in 1987, shortly prior to FNAF2. They possessed the Toys, and are seen in SAVETHEM minigame. Nux was right about how the toys having security facial recognition being weird as the excuse, because it wasn't, that was only for the day to stop actual predators getting close to the kids, whereas the reason they attack you is because they are haunted. When they get scrapped, to my knowledge, they are burnt and as such their souls are freed unknowingly. Also the reason he kills kids in the restaurants is to try and get the business that he was kicked out of shutdown. If you wanna see the "proper" timeline, I would suggest MatPat's ultimate timeline, because he not only goes over facts and where they came from, and goes really in-depth with them. He also talks about the books ALOT more, as they are an integral part of the story. Mat also takes the opinion of alot of people as its not just him who works on the videos. I personally would say it is a more correct timeline, and just talks more about the games and the books.
@@xd3athclawx554 Great Points, and I have seen his timeline as well I mostly agree with it as well as a mostly equally most probable The thing is that Matpat himself has indeed seen some better points of for the timeline like the Sister Location Animatronics and he himself also says that some pieces are missing. That said, I think they both are overall the best we've gotten and I enjoy both very much Heck, I felt the same thing for his timeline as I did with Wendigoon's, seeing Afton's downfall progress more and more They both could works as TV shows in my opinion That said, I think MatPat is mostly correct with the lore that takes place after the main series and what starts/takes place in the new FNAF Saga with the VR and S.B. Again, thanks for pointing those details
@@xd3athclawx554 Dude, please stop going through every single comment just sucking off GT. We get it, you really like MatPat, but that doesn't mean you have to bring him up at every available opportunity. It's so cringe.
I enjoy both separate timelines as being different from each other. Wendigoon's timeline is story driven but isn't heavily backed up deeply with info as he himself said he wasn't going to focus on the books, while matpat's timeline is the one that is entrenched by all the information that is in every aspect of the franchise, from the games, the books, and even other games helped us figure out so much of what we know today.
The suspected reason that Cassidy was called "The one you should not have killed" is because Afton killed Cassidy purely because he felt like it rather than for research, and did so much more brutally than the others, all out of an unusual burst of selfish murderous desire. Cassidy's death was the most cold-hearted, ruthless, and demonic Afton got in his murders, causing Cassidy's spirit to become much more vengeful and enraged than the other kids. When all the animatronics burned, it's implied Cassidy lived on and went to combine with Afton, keeping him alive yet longer so he could torture him from the inside, even if it meant Afton would get away with more evil. This is also why Golden Freddy was so twitchy. It wasn't because two kids were trapped inside, but also because Evan and Cassidy had clashing desires for how to approach their goals.
the funniest part about all this is that in the first four games the original plot was gonna be that it was all evan's coma dream from start to finish but then scott got bullied so fucking hard by the internet he had to go back and retroactively fill in all the "plot holes" he'd intentionally left as foreshadowing that it was all bullshit and turn it into an actual story
I honestly think, for someone in the format of how Nux is watching this, which seems to be (from my interpretation) the idea of a "one and done" deep dive and reaction, this video is perfect, since it gives you the general timeline, it overviews the themes and the thematic irony and consistency and all of that of the story, details all of the events, even if not perfectly, and wraps it all up as a complete story.
@@seizapro1350 That's another case, I was referring to things that have changed because of new info. It seems this video was made between UCN and HW, and since that, a lot of things disproved what we thought.
A couple things. First, it's more likely that the Missing Children's incident was a few months before FNaF 2. Phone guy says "Welcome to your new SUMMER job..." but the paycheck at the end of the game says November. The tapes are old, Fazbear entertainment reused them because they're lazy. Also, Henry likely didn't know William got back into the Pizzeria because the Fazbear brand was likely big enough to where Henry isn't the one hiring people. William also likely used a fake name, possibly "Dave Miller" as seen in the books. William was hired because the one hiring wasn't Henry and didn't recognize him, William was able to use the suit and kill the kids, and was possibly caught wearing the suit and tampering with the animatronics, but not caught with the bodies, so he was likely fired again for that, and that's why phone guy mentions 'previous employees' shouldn't be let in. He thinks that 'none of them are acting right' because William simply tampered with them.
On the Cassidy as the torturer and the theming of it... there's implications from some of the UCN cutscenes that William may have tortured her before killing her, and also a theory that, while Michael serves as protagonist to the main sceres gaimplay loops in the office, Cassidy serves as protagonist to the Ataei style hidden minigames, based on lore from fnaf world a.d all but confirmed by Princess Quest in the mobile version of the vr game and also Security Breach
Now I don’t remember if this was mentioned, but the puppet actually set the souls of the children possessing the MAIN suits free in Fnaf 3, including “Evan” (the other animatronics are either still possessed or alive due to the topic that was left out of this video, which involved the “science” behind the posession) The spirit torturing Afton after his death is basically confirmed to be Cassidy, one child who’s so angry and unwilling to go to rest.
If this video is old, it might not have the ruin dlc and the newest fnaf vr game, which means.... you might need to watch another fnaf Lore video. Also, the books and novels for Fnaf are even crazier than the games.
The reason Elizabeth was kicked out of Ennard is because she was so young when she died that she still cares about her dad and wants to make him proud, even after his creation killed her.
no that wasnt it at all, they elizabeth had a disagreement with the rest, so they ejected her, which is confirmed via the code in the fnaf world and scottgames websites
The first Fnaf game came out when I was in middle school, and it's part of the reason I grew up into an adult that loved in depth, complicated lore/stories.
The biggest things about FNaF 1 getting popular: 1) horror was always giving you the ability to fight back or run away or something. FNaF flipped the script and forced you to SIT THERE. 2) it was picked up by multiple large youtubers of the time, driving the game to stardom in both gameplay and lore...for something extremely simple.
32:46 The only issue with him moving staight to the funtime anamatronics after Evan's death is that I think he forgot that William already killed other kids before the next set of experiments and put them in the orginal core animatronics called the missing children's incident. There was even a cut scene that shows him pulling up to kids in front of the pizzaria and kidnapping them ending with Charlie I think then moving onto the funtime anamtronics when he started researching more about how to transfer life and Remnant metal.
49:20 no no no it doesn't eat her, it lays down next to her like an animal morning the loss of a companion While the puppet is also sparking and stuff and getting weak from the rain
1:56:25 Here’s a time stamp for Henry’s speech at the end of fnaf 6 The talk about Williams personal hell made me want to see what Nux would think about playing *Ultrakill,* (hopefully without any chat for him to look at and likely tell him how to play instead of letting him figure it out.) I do hope he reacts to or watches the VHS tape stuff by *Squimpus McGrumpus.* Most importantly the last ones called *"Memories"* and *"Finale"* mainly because of the absolutely amazing voice acting by *@theniftytable* 4 comments in one.
Nux putting together a better understanding and cohesive version of the lore just by hearing about it. I think the benefit of going in blind like this, is that you arnt bogged down by every little crevices of the games and can view the entire thing as a story, connecting the dots on a narritive level rather than a gameplay level. Also that its been 10 years and we arnt dying for the next drop of lore in the dry desert.
Based on the Highschool toy Chica cut-scenes of ultimate custom night(yes those are real) talking about William's murders as her own, explains the last victim before being spring-trapped, William really went overboard with, smashing and mutilating Cassidy's body(bagged her and beat the bag with a shovel.) as a super frenzy passion murder, at this point Billy is crazy and that's why it's Cassidy trapping him in hell instead of Evan, either way it's golden Freddie doing more boneless(suit mode) ghost stuff.
Watching you manage to predict all of the “plot twists” like FNAF 6 being just a lure for Afton was a goddamn treat. Also, to explain something pretty important, there are two major timelines (three with the movie, five with all the books) Wendigoon’s and Matpat’s. Wendigoon’s is essentially the best one since it’s all wrapped up in a neat little bow, while MatPat’s is still ongoing as of VR 2. Both are entirely valid, the difference is that in a way, MatPat’s is a continuation of the BASIS of Wendigoon’s, with some big differences in terms of personality or story beats.
He's wrong about Molten Freddy, the orginal kids were laid to rest during the "Happiest Day" including "Evan" the only ones known not to have pasted on were Charlie, Elizabeth, and Cassidy.
MMMMMAN. That last speech always gets me. I still use "a labyrinth with no exit, a maze with no prize" to this day. And the fact that Nux watched all the way up to that makes this so much better, the punch of this speech was SO GOOD.
This is one way to interprate the lore of FNAF, but it is SOOOO MUCH MORE He also made some mistakes. First and for most, Henry was the creator, builder and engineer of animatronics and robotics while William was the one who came up with the idea of Fredbear; and the concepts of Pizzaeria with singing, magic and all that. Eventually William have gone through engineering degree and developed alongside Henry new designs for the animatronics - he also have also developed sound illusion disks that can completely change your percpection of the animatronics - which is likely the source of the Nightmarish animatronics from FNAF 4. And there are SO MUCH MORE to explain, I know you don't like matpat's content but you have to watch his video and timeline because it has so much more because of the books (which while don't share the same timeline they hold the same world mechenics and hold importent details) I know that the fnaf fanbase is pretty childiah and cringe, but it still has intense (and somewhat disturbing lore and theories) 58:50 There is a small problem though, first and for most, the missing children incident needed to occour in the first location the reason for it is simple - there were literral mini games supporting that claim and considering that in FNAF 2 the old animatronics (and the toys likely as well) are hunte And as for the reason why William wasn't reported... well thing is - he was... but the police couldn't arrest him, think about it - from all im-game points of view the children went missing their death was never confirmed mranimg that even if the police try to arrest him, all his alegations would be considered as circumstantial evidences at best... Scott actually covered it in the book. Anyway I REALLY REALLY recommand watching Matpat's video because the timeline is very complicated and it is better covered by Matpat and he brings evidences from the series to support his claims 1:28:20 ohhh... I can forgive most mistake but I can't forgive this ome... In a mini game in FMAF 2 you play as Old/Withered Freddy, and you find in the FNAF 2 location, the toys animatronics and 5 additional murdrered children dead bodies. you're already hunted and that is 100% confirmable because the give gift give life mini game shows all animatronics as fixed, and Foxy Go Go Go minigame confirms that 5 children have died in the old location. The toy animatronics that were getting scrapped are likely to get burned (which is what allows them to move on)
1:34:41 And this is important because "Evan", or as everyone calls him, "the crying child", was terrified of these suits. Which is why when Micheal put him near the mouth of the Fredbear suit, that since he was crying, the suit malfunctioned, and caused the bite of '83. So take that Chekov's gun, apply it to William Afton, terrified, sweating, and wore the suit, the moisture he produced, caused the springlocks to malfunction, causing him to die in agony, which'll become important later.
Bro, I need Nux to watch Game Theorys timeline just so he can get mega confused 😂 That and I'd like to see how he pieces his own theories together between the two timelines
They also need to be in agony for possession to happen Also there is TONS more new stuff to talk about now and I hope Nux takes the time to learn about it
I like the theory where sister location occured earlier, then fnaf "1", the original 5 murders happen, shut down, fnaf 2 opens, another set of murders, fnaf 1 reopens where the game takes place, fnaf 3 etc. And michael works at most of them. Due to some details that were missing, but interesting theory.
Chica was first possessed she saw everything. Is one of the few points of the story that is literally told to us straight from the games. “Evan” was not first.
I'm pretty sure Wendigoon missed several essential points in his timeline, like the whole remnant stuff he kinda brushed off as being "only in the books" even though they were also in pizzeria sim aka fnaf 6. He actually failed to explain a lot of what actually happened in and as a result of 6. I feel like MatPat's timeline handles all that a lot better, at least up until his Security Breach explanation, which turned out to be wrong, but everything before is pretty much spot on. Nobody can really agree on the exact details though and it's still just circumstantial guesstimating, but the main events are at least in place.
Mattpatt final theory was really cohesive as far as bringing the books and games together, Henry's action whi isn't covered in the games, is in the books and what he does in the meantime
I really liked seeing this take on it, but i do think to keep your promise of learning EVERYTHING, you need to watch matpats 4 part one as well. Cause he goes through every single thing with a fine toothed comb. You learn a lot more, and its the closest to being the most agreed upon lore through the fandom.
The hard thing about FNAF Nux is that whenever something new comes out, a lot of things in the story change. If we are going to make a complete timeline of everything in history right now, we have to consider the games: FNAFs 1, 2, 3, 4, Sister Location, Pizzeria Simulator, Ultimate Custom Night, Help Wanted, Security Breach, Security Breach Ruin, Help Wanted 2 and the emails form Special Delivery; and the entire Tales From The Pizza Plex book franchise. Not to mention the other contents that are more complicated, as they are parallel stories that bring concepts to the main story, these being the Frazbear Frights book franchise, a novel composed of three books/graphic novels: The Silver Eyes, The Twisted Ones and The Fourth Closet; and the triology of films we're getting now. NOTE: the films will also have a book adaptation.
Hey Nux, french fan around here. I wanted to say that if you're looking for a chronological (release order)evolution of the lore of fnaf. I recommend the french youtuber Captain Hype, while his channel is currently on hiatus his fnaf serie of videoes is very good. It goes from fnaf 1 to fnaf world and basicly he explores the mystery as it evolves. For instance when scott made fnaf 1 he didn't even thought of fnaf 2 he stated it multiple times, and therefore in his video of fnaf 1 he treat the game as if it was the only one ever released, because everytime Scott Cawton (the creator of the series)makes a new entry he changes slightly the mystery. Of course to watch the videoes you'll need youtube subtitles but it's worth it
33:13 Exactly. Why would he do that. This is why a majority of the fandom thinks Afton was nefarious from the get-go and doing this crap under Henry's nose. The latest fnaf game, help wanted 2, [Spoilers] gave us the gravestones of the children in the order they were killed. Scott has placed Fredbear/golden Freddy (If theyre even the same suit. Design wise, it doesnt seem like they are) as the 5th animatronic to be possessed or killed. Its also been canonically proven that there are two souls in Golden Freddy. Evan shares the animatornic with the angriest most recentful and malicious of the children, Cassidy. We have no idea where Cassidy died on the timeline, who they were, or HOW they died, but Cassidy is the spirit that literally drags William down to hell (Custom Night), and haunts the shit out of Afton who literally screams for Michael to help him in demonic garble. Its GLORIOUS. FYI its also up for debate if there has to be a body in the animatornic to haunt it. Charlotte's body, as far as we know, isnt in the puppet. At least, not all of her could fit in it, which is a morbid thought, but the puppet is too slender to host an entire body, child or not. Its also heavily speculated but not confirmed that Michael's spirit might currently be semi dormant in glamrock Freddy, who DEFINETLY doesnt have a body in him. Alot of people find this annoying, but ngl i love the ever changing lore and plots and constant revivals. It makes thd franchise more mystery/puzzles than horror and I think the franchise is so much fun. Scott is doing great with it.
Regarding the haunting without a body thing: The books explain that possession is possible through: Soul getting stuck to an object, Remnant soup made from an aforementioned possessed object being melted down and injected into things(like with the scooper), and lastly strong emotions can also cause possession or possess things themselves. This shit is complex af
The reason it crushed the kid so easily was because the way the spring locks work is that a very tight spring is coiled back to pull back the animatronic parts. However, those springs are very tight. And for whatever reason, they are very sensitive, especially to any form of moisture. Even breathing too much on them will cause them to fire, which will definitely kill anything in it. By puncturing and crushing them to death with the animaltronic parts. And when the kids' tears touch the springs, they fired
I do actually recommend at least watching like the first few game theories on fnaf cause it’s so interesting to see how different the theories were and how they evolved cause he was making them after each installment and getting more evidence Tho one of my pet peeves is that people will get mad at matpat saying that a later theory contradicts the others but seem to forget that each video is its own individual theory unless specified otherwise Like they aren’t meant to connect They’re meant to show you how the theories evolve and become more complex over the years which is so fun
Sadely, I think Wendigoon doesn't explain a lot of the pieces to the story nearly as well as they could be explained, such as with remnant and that perfectly explaining how Michael's still "alive"
1:40:00 Some say it is Circus Baby's or what's left of it, or that it is a secret place in William's Afton's house, or some combination of the 2. But when he says outside, he means, in the normal vicinty of normal people.
Honestly matpat's timeline is just as good if not better at explaining the story, due to the fact he uses everything including the books as they are just as important to the story as the games are
there was an error in the video. in ucn, it is stated that the child possessing withered chica was william's first kill. not charlie. i'd also like to say, william's depiction as purple is pure coincidence. when it comes to 8-bit artstyles, like used in the fnaf minigames, purple is used to express shadows and shadowy figures. originally, william was purple because he was a shadowy figure. the color used in the midnight motorist minigame does not mean anything.
Fnaf lore works by scott giving as little information as possible so that fans have many ways to piece things together, and overlook the little details that get changed. I honestly doubt that scott even knew the lore when he made the games.
Too bad there are 3 more games, 2 DLCs, and a bunch more books. While I will agree ultimate custom night was a great spot to end it, the stuff afterwards is quite good as well. I highly recommend watching MatPat’s Ultimate Timeline and the theory’s that came after it, because there is so much more that would be missed, because there is so much environmental storytelling
@@dusky5535nope but they have a lot of stuff that we can use to make our lives a lot easier when it comes to parts of the lore that the games don't really delve into

Ig problem with this theory. Is sister location we are specifically called out to be Michael. And it expresses that's it's under there house. Meaning henry didnt know about them or wasnt involved probably a side project William told henry

AKA (HOT TAKE ALERT) dragging a franchise out because it's successful, popular and makes a lot of money, instead of actually letting it end in a satisfying way and as a result hurting the aforementioned and experienced story.
Freddy crushing Evan's skull is definitely plausible, due to Freddy's teeth focusing all the needed force directly into Evan's temple, and crushing the frontal lobe which was the part of the brain that was said to be destroyed in the first place
I just love how Nux finds videos that explain a complex topic as “normally” as possible. I'm certainly not a fan of traditions, but for Internet topics I usually prefer the classic. With SCP is just normal non-animation explanation of original article videos. With FNAF we have full explanation by Mattpat(in the fandom, not everyone agrees with his interpretation, but at least in detail from a person who has been in the topic for a long time) P.S. Oh, sorry, there is no Security Breach in this video. Therefore, many moments are different, especially at the beginning of the lore. So at the moment of Custom Night lore this is a pretty accurate explanation
This time line really make Henry out to be a complete idiot...like there is nothing concrete that says that Henry knew what Afton was up to until it was too late
I think a lot of what makes the FNAF franchise so interesting is the ridiculous amount of plot-related details that are left up to interpretation. You see it with shows very often, and FNAF is the perfection of that sort of thing in gaming form IMO. I’ll admit, it’s one of the franchise’s greatest strengths the same way it’s one of the franchise’s greatest weaknesses, that is the inevitable result of taking that area of the franchise as far as they have. The only thing I’ll say as a straight forward criticism of the franchise is how much of the plot can’t be found in the video games.
Yep. The way I see it, there are indeed key events from the games, like the missing children’s incident, the bite of 83, Willam’s first victim: Charolette Emily, Willam’s death, the first and second fire, Henry’s plot to end it all, Michael’s vow to end the nightmare, and the possibility of The cult of Afton being a thing. But, everything else outside of these key events, and other aspects in the timeline-how it all connects-is up for interpretation. Scott said himself that was the best way to keep fans happy and not start an uproar. Because at some point, Scott must’ve realized, the mystery of the lore was the second biggest thing, besides the scares, that got fans invested. He’d known if he, being the creator, said this was cannon, or this wasn’t real, that the community would get into a frenzy. He wanted to keep a healthy atmosphere in his community above all. So he kept the story up to interpretation, with hints and Easter eggs. He cared about his fans, and that included the morale and mentality of fans amongst each other. Which is why he didn’t give away much info in his posts on his site.
@@garrettviewegh9028 And I think that this general overview, with the overlined story and themes and big events and characterization we get in a video like this is perfect for people who just want to "get" the story. Only the people who are either huge fans of the series, or those that like really deep diving into lore, will get into all the nitty gritty and debate all the tiniest details and stuff like that. Don't get me wrong, that stuff can be fun too, especially for a series you love, but for me, it's really about the story, the message and themes, the characters. I don't care as much if bits and pieces of details were wrong, the story at large is still the same.
There's only two big things i firmly disagree with him on: 1) Jr's is *obviously* a bar. William is drunk driving. "Jr's" is a generic name for a bar in basically any American story involving a generic bar, and William is slumped over, driving erratically, and has a short fuse. He's drunk. He's not allowed at the bar next to his house because they know he's got a drinking problem. (Probably as a result of Ethan and Elizabeth being recently dead). 2) The spirit torturing William is Cassidy. Ethan's story is the Happiest Day story, which he just never addressed in any of its multiple depictions. Which i kinda get, but totally skipping both that and Shadow Freddy/ Shadow Bonnie feels wrong. Even if they are way way harder ro explain.
32:30 this... lore is so wrong 😭😭 I hope he revisits this and finds one that more accurate. There's one channel that made a 9 hour video on the lore, and then edited it down (takes out all the explanations) to about 1.5 hours. I recommend you watch that one instead.

That's three things.
The mystery of what info we are missing triggers the human urge to complete things if you see a puzzle with just a few pieces missing you want to complete it because it looks off or if you are about to complete a level in a game but have to go your brain reminds you that something must be completed and you won't get relief with out it being done
@@johnbastion747no those are two categories. Laughing at people getting scared falls under the scares.

The Ultimate Timeline is not much more accurate. It’s more like fan fiction than a genuine theory
Yea the entire first part along with some stuff at the end is pretty much just fan fiction.
@@the_godbodor7026 Just checked and Phone Guy does not say the calls are pre-recorded. That was probably in FNAF 1. Not FNAF 2.
1:43:00 Accepting that Remnant, agony, and fazgoo, existing is annoying, yet becomes a presence you can't ignore in Security Breach and further on.
why it would be annoying? is literally the world-building of fnaf, the guy in the video is totally wrong by ignoring the remnants just because he dont like it, michael is just alive because of it, you cant remove the main reason for the whole lore existing.
I am physically unable to accept that "fazgoo" is real 😂
Yessssss exactly. And that's on Game Theory cult
Fax, Mat may not be perfect, but his timeline is an excellent jumping off point
We never knew who Henry was until during the books and sister location (both coming out AFTER fnaf world) and only just recently pieced that that was in fact Henry
Blud wasn't there when the game was made 💀💀💀
If Henry was the original restaurant owner of Fredbear's Family Diner (as he was one of two in the Silver Eyes trilogy) then he was foreshadowed as far back as FNAF 2.

"you should try to emulate squimpus mcgrimpus" *breathes in through teeth* who's gonna tell 'em?
“we never told em??” ahh comment 😭😭
The only book that had similar events to the game so far was the security guard guide book.

the Fazbear frights epilogues are
Canon but overall story isn't
While tales of the pizza Plex is completely Canon and shows us a lot for instance FNAF 4 is not nightmares it's actually gas that really made to experimented on his son's either being Michael or Evan it doesn't matter also this video makes it seem like William cared about his kids that's a lie he doesn't

1) I always thought that line meant Chica was the first of the missing children to be lured away and killed.
Gibi made a 9 hour video going through the entire franchise including how the understanding of the lore changed with each game release
I second him making a react series to this one
I know it is never gonna happen, but I really want Nux to react to this one, purely because the amount of deep dive that goes into it is INSANE and it is one of the best FNAF timelines that were ever made imho. It also brings up some new fresh ideas that I don't think have ever been discussed before by the community.
It is right up Nux's alley, especially because it talks about the evolution of the games as a whole and not just the in-game lore. Or at least that's what I think.
I don’t really like that one (I’ve seen it thrice)
@@P.A.L.09 Really? Why?
@@Takejiro24 why did I see it thrice or why I didn’t like it
Wendigoon and Nux gave some pretty valid criticisms of Henry’s actions (or rather his inaction) and faults in this, that I’ve never previously thought about.
All the kids were her friends that were at her party at Freddy's, and William lured them all (Cassidy specifically) by saying that he had a 'birthday surprise' for her.
and then security breach came out...
And then the mimic solved it and broke the lore
AHAHAGGAHAHAHAH-
We don't talk about this.
Nux asked for someone to explain how FNAF got popular, so here we go:
FNAF was released at a very opportune time.
What an awesome write up.

MatPat's three-parter! He made it such a cinematic experience! It's wild!
It'd be awesome if you consider reacting to that!
@@asriel3564wendi is trying to make a basic run down of most of the story in a digestible way, while matpat LIVES by the fnaf. Lol.
When it comes to the FNAF Lore Story I cannot help but think of how it could be made into a TV show
I honestly get a Breaking Bad vibe of progression when it comes to William and how it also falls down into how a man lost himself in what was seemingly “innocent” intentions
Wendigoon really gave the best time line I’ve seen if it and it really makes this story so deep and compelling, like this is some good sht
@@xd3athclawx554 Great Points, and I have seen his timeline as well

Heck, I felt the same thing for his timeline as I did with Wendigoon's, seeing Afton's downfall progress more and more

That's how I see it, though
Henry’s entire speech gave everyone who heard it chills throughout their entire body it went so hard to
bro was spitting 😭
A few things were wrong, but it's still a great *_introduction_* to the lore.
Its a pretty solid introduction, but there are still a few iterations of the timeline that is always fun to watch.
I honestly think, for someone in the format of how Nux is watching this, which seems to be (from my interpretation) the idea of a "one and done" deep dive and reaction, this video is perfect, since it gives you the general timeline, it overviews the themes and the thematic irony and consistency and all of that of the story, details all of the events, even if not perfectly, and wraps it all up as a complete story.
did you have r o point that out? u dik
literally every timeline video "gets things wrong", the community cant agree on many things
@@seizapro1350
That's another case, I was referring to things that have changed because of new info.
"Oh my glob" Imagine foreshadowing an important animtronic in the fnaf lore
The biggest things about FNaF 1 getting popular:
1) horror was always giving you the ability to fight back or run away or something.
49:20 no no no it doesn't eat her, it lays down next to her like an animal morning the loss of a companion

I completely agree. This is also why I kind of hope Nux doesn't cover anymore FNAF stuff, since this video really gets him what he wants as a whole.
This is one way to interprate the lore of FNAF, but it is SOOOO MUCH MORE
He also made some mistakes.
And there are SO MUCH MORE to explain, I know you don't like matpat's content but you have to watch his video and timeline because it has so much more because of the books (which while don't share the same timeline they hold the same world mechenics and hold importent details)
I know that the fnaf fanbase is pretty childiah and cringe, but it still has intense (and somewhat disturbing lore and theories)
58:50 There is a small problem though, first and for most, the missing children incident needed to occour in the first location the reason for it is simple - there were literral mini games supporting that claim and considering that in FNAF 2 the old animatronics (and the toys likely as well) are hunte
And as for the reason why William wasn't reported... well thing is - he was... but the police couldn't arrest him, think about it - from all im-game points of view the children went missing their death was never confirmed mranimg that even if the police try to arrest him, all his alegations would be considered as circumstantial evidences at best...
Scott actually covered it in the book.
Anyway I REALLY REALLY recommand watching Matpat's video because the timeline is very complicated and it is better covered by Matpat and he brings evidences from the series to support his claims
1:28:20 ohhh...
The toy animatronics that were getting scrapped are likely to get burned (which is what allows them to move on)
Can we be real here? FanF is so over-complicated it is less mistakes and more different understandings of the same information.
Also the suit was roting in a abandoned building with rain from holes in the roof
Bro, I need Nux to watch Game Theorys timeline just so he can get mega confused 😂 That and I'd like to see how he pieces his own theories together between the two timelines
They also need to be in agony for possession to happen
Also there is TONS more new stuff to talk about now and I hope Nux takes the time to learn about it
I like the theory where sister location occured earlier, then fnaf "1", the original 5 murders happen, shut down, fnaf 2 opens, another set of murders, fnaf 1 reopens where the game takes place, fnaf 3 etc. And michael works at most of them.
Due to some details that were missing, but interesting theory.
Nux probably found some respect and fear of fnaf fans after this video
Chica was first possessed she saw everything. Is one of the few points of the story that is literally told to us straight from the games. “Evan” was not first.
35:29 this scene is absolutely horrifying on first playthrough
I kinda wanna see Nux react to MatPat's full timeline now to see what he thinks of that narrative telling.
I recommend the french youtuber Captain Hype,
while his channel is currently on hiatus his fnaf serie of videoes is very good.
Regarding the haunting without a body thing:
The books explain that possession is possible through: Soul getting stuck to an object, Remnant soup made from an aforementioned possessed object being melted down and injected into things(like with the scooper), and lastly strong emotions can also cause possession or possess things themselves.
This shit is complex af
1:47:55 No one catches up with the FNAF lore. They just understand it differently.
15:20 “everyone in chat wishes they were William right now”- NO THE HECK THEY DIDN’T
Being pre 87 william is easy be a better father, and don't be a kiddy strangler and run your knockoff Charles entertainment cheese
Thare are no spring locks pulled back when the suit is in robot mode
It was in robot mode
I do actually recommend at least watching like the first few game theories on fnaf cause it’s so interesting to see how different the theories were and how they evolved cause he was making them after each installment and getting more evidence
Tho one of my pet peeves is that people will get mad at matpat saying that a later theory contradicts the others but seem to forget that each video is its own individual theory unless specified otherwise
Like they aren’t meant to connect
They’re meant to show you how the theories evolve and become more complex over the years which is so fun
I think everyone laughed when nux said "That was a poetic end of a character" 1:35:49
Honestly matpat's timeline is just as good if not better at explaining the story, due to the fact he uses everything including the books as they are just as important to the story as the games are
there was an error in the video. in ucn, it is stated that the child possessing withered chica was william's first kill. not charlie.
i'd also like to say, william's depiction as purple is pure coincidence. when it comes to 8-bit artstyles, like used in the fnaf minigames, purple is used to express shadows and shadowy figures. originally, william was purple because he was a shadowy figure. the color used in the midnight motorist minigame does not mean anything.
did not expect this one, lets go
Me neither
saying you shit on matpat "sometimes" is the BIGGEST understatement of the year lmao
nux this isnt even the end of the fnaf timeline, i suggest watching matpats videos on your own time since i think he covers more then wendigoon does.
Fnaf lore works by scott giving as little information as possible so that fans have many ways to piece things together, and overlook the little details that get changed.
I honestly doubt that scott even knew the lore when he made the games.
Yup and you can thank matpat for giving so much content for Scott to work with😂🤦♂️🤦♂️
Too bad there are 3 more games, 2 DLCs, and a bunch more books.
While I will agree ultimate custom night was a great spot to end it, the stuff afterwards is quite good as well. I highly recommend watching MatPat’s Ultimate Timeline and the theory’s that came after it, because there is so much more that would be missed, because there is so much environmental storytelling

I’m hoping he reacts to that 😂
Ig problem with this theory. Is sister location we are specifically called out to be Michael. And it expresses that's it's under there house. Meaning henry didnt know about them or wasnt involved probably a side project William told henry
Also all the games you play as Michael. Besides after I think sister location?
Tbh it would have been better if nux reacted to the matpat one, even if every third sentence would have been "matpat doesn't watch porn"...
1:25:56 the reason for 10 is the first 5 are the ones that possess the og animatronics while the other 5 are the dead bodies seen in the save them death mini game the toy animatronics become hostile due to the face recognition software being tampered with
Can’t wait for Nux to watch the “William Come Back Arc” part 3, where he dodges eternal damnation

@@KagiroiCommandono he is not
Freddy crushing Evan's skull is definitely plausible, due to Freddy's teeth focusing all the needed force directly into Evan's temple, and crushing the frontal lobe which was the part of the brain that was said to be destroyed in the first place
I just love how Nux finds videos that explain a complex topic as “normally” as possible. I'm certainly not a fan of traditions, but for Internet topics I usually prefer the classic. With SCP is just normal non-animation explanation of original article videos. With FNAF we have full explanation by Mattpat(in the fandom, not everyone agrees with his interpretation, but at least in detail from a person who has been in the topic for a long time)
P.S. Oh, sorry, there is no Security Breach in this video. Therefore, many moments are different, especially at the beginning of the lore. So at the moment of Custom Night lore this is a pretty accurate explanation
Nux is just one of the reactionaries who likes to ask questions, and a “normal” and not detailed nerd explanation of topics confuses his understanding
There's only two big things i firmly disagree with him on:
1) Jr's is *obviously* a bar.
