This is such a good analysis. Mr. Big is not nearly as evil as Steven, but the comparison is on point - both are drawn to those women but are embarrassed of being seen with them
You are spot on. Both characters are manipulative, controlling and emotionally unavailable. Fantastic insight! Looking forward to see more of your breakdowns.
The main difference to me is Big, at his big age, was just too dumb to be a real manipulator. And Steven was an expert at that. If Big was nearly as manipulative as Steven, we would hate Carrie a lot more from the things he will have her doing for him.
@@chisomo8088 hmm this is true but I also think Lucy is very manipulative, in her own way. She’s manipulative even without Stephen. Most of her manipulation is surrounded around Stephen to either protect him or make him jealous. I still haven’t forgiven her for sending out that letter lol.
Stephen is way worse than Mr Big, since Stephen lies and manipulates women even when he doesn’t need to, like Macy, she was ok of being just a casual thing, but he kept making excuses trying to sound like a nice guy in her eyes. Mr Big, on the other hand, does not lie, but avoid give answers to the women’s questions.
We don't see that much of Mr. Big. Actually we only see him in relation with Carrie. He is ONLY presented from Carrie's POV. So, we don;t know what he is doing when he is not with her. We see what Stephen is doing when he's not with Lucy. Mr. Big could be doing the same thing or he could even be worse.😒
@@Alicethetics it got me thinking, can you imagine if we would have seen what Mr. Big was doing after his dates with Carrie? A scene just like the one where we see Stephen trying to hook up with Diana after he tried to hook up with Lucy 😅based on his character I think we all know Mr. Big was doing the same. He had Julia in the first season which is some equivalent to Diana I think. But we never saw it, and that's what makes him mysterious to us as well as to Carrie😏
@@Karina-mu1lk lol I feel like that would be a rollercoaster in itself because Big had so many women but we would definitely be more annoyed by Carrie because we would’ve seen the trash behavior first hand and her still being down bad for him lol
I don't see a lot of similaries while they're both toxic, they are completely difference branch of toxic. Mr. Big is like most men who are with women for fun and not commitment and Stephen is a straight up psychopath.
Do you think Mr.Big and Stephen truly love Carrie and Lucy, or are they more focused on their own needs?

Thank youu 💕 and yes exactly, which is sad because they won’t even leave them alone lol.
@@Alicetheticsexactly. I feel bad for the women. You are really good at these comparison videos
