Oh yeah, all of us artists should want to challenge ourselves, the technology we have these days makes it entirely too easy to sit and make music which can make a beatmaker really lazy
This is a really cool approach, man. I've always sort of thought of writing songs as a way of telling a story without words and I often dream up little movies of my own as I'm writing. Great stuff!
Bro I have so many ideas for movies that I've been playing with the thought of directing my own lil short film lol, just need to find the people who'd be down to take time to do it .... and yeah man keep coming up with those ideas , write them down and all. Lately I been voice recording me talking to myself about my movie ideas so I don't forget them lol.

Good to see, Like all im seeing is people with mpc based hardware mostly sample and the mpc can acually make beats from scratch. I wish more producers would be more creative
Yeah the mpc is a very powerful machine and can be so much more than just a Chopping board for samples
Yea dudes be trying to see what's missing.. the noise was loud with flex beat and stems... but I still I ain't seen no beats... I came from fl land. Once I wrapped my mind around my live 2 I realized this box has everything... I don't know what people complaining about..

I got the Live 2 and I only make music from scratch. If I use any samples it’s because of one shots from expansion packs which still allows me to make original compositions. I don’t sample loops, melodies, harmonies, rhythms, etc. Not knocking sampling because I know you can get creative with it and many of my favorite Hip Hop producers sample. It’s just that I personally like the challenge of coming up with something from scratch straight from the top of my head.
As for your scores, I feel they fit those Black independent films where you can tell the director knows how to put out a professional level movie despite not having the big studio funding. I’m talking a flick at the level of, for example, a Spike Lee joint before he made it big where you can tell his material wasn’t amateurish in feel because of the artistry; unlike those paint by numbers thrown together hood flicks you see on Tubi. I say all that to say your scores sound good and if it wasn’t so late and if I didn’t have an appointment to go to in the morning I would be inspired to whip something up on the MPC or Logic because of said inspiration. Keep up the good work, man.
