Yep it really brings out some memories and at 51 years old I still miss those days but as we get old we start to or should I say we have to change are ways
Back then (late 50s-late 60s) homies / gangsters were “Vatos y Pachucos, later Cholos”. The guys always had the clothes sharply pressed and creased with their Pendleton’s draped over their fore arms and the girls were called “Rucas” with their teased up hair sprayed hair and tight short skirts. I still remember those thighs. I remember riding my bike from La Medina Projects in East LA on Sunday nights to go look at the low rider car clubs cruising Whittier Blvd in East LA, Later we moved to Santa Ana and it was downtown 4th street. In the 7th grade a white guy named Roger but everyone called him “Fish” (his face looked like a fish) that was all pachuco started F Troop originally there were a half dozen jr. high school kids (67’-68’ Santa Ana) Shit the music was great! Today blacks are credited for the “homie gangster” thing, but it was the Mexicans in east LA and Pacoima that were the original “homie gangsters” back then blacks had not even ventured there
Yo i live in Santa Ana and they always have car shows and it's nice to see that it's not dying out, some still dress the same way as pachucos did very nice
Those were the days when they dressed like real Vatos passed down from the Pachuco erea. Style and good taste in music. My first Homeboy grew up banging in the 70,s and 80’s and showed me how to get a fine crease in my Bens. I miss the 90,s
(Juan 3:16) (English version) John 3:16 for god so love the world he gave his only begotten son whosoever believe shall not perish but have everlasting life..
Where im from we bump everything 80s freestyle music. Thats what people were on before the street gangs started to form. Beat boys or what ever theyre called. My ogs all listen to freestyle music thats what we bump when we cruise whem were not listening to rap music.
I was very lucky to have 2 educations growing up. One in the class room and one in the streets. I will never forget where & what I came from till this day by best friends are my childhood friends.
It could happen if the Big Homies running there program really gets on the youngsters doing the dirt. Think about it for a minute, if we can get along in prison and share a bunk with one of your enemigos out in the streats, than it could happen. SouthX3Side NortX4Side Unite!!!
This takes me back when I was in Eastlake (Los) Lathetrop hall (Ricardo M time) Sylmar and Los Padrinos juvenile hall running into homies from every gang in Southern Cailfas. Camp Scudder,Gonzalez,Scott,Afflerbaugh,Paige,Rocky(the hole)Challenger-Onizuka-Scobee-Smith and McNair when it was a senior work camp. Good times.
There are gangs in LA county that are way older most well know LA gangs My family from a varrio that goes back 1920's if not older varrio Artesia or varrio ArTa.
Barrio Van Nuys participated in the Zoot Riots , as well as Varrio San Fer ( San Fernando ) and Varrio PACAS Flats . Many Varrios got real history in these streets
Reed Thompson are you from the 818 foo ? You don’t know much history if you do . I’ve met old veteranos from Barrio Van Nuys from ages 60 to 70s . They told me their history of their hood they participated in them riots . Veteranos from San Fer , Pacas , Canoga and Van Nuys can attest if you ever met one .
Bob Angels I won't deny Pacas San Fer maybe even Canoga but im thinking 50s maybe late forties ...Van Nuys hell no Imma need to see some flickas 😁 At least you didn't say Artesia being the 20s now that's reaching boys wild 😁

Just still remember this era was crazy with violence but firme
My homie Chuco!
I remember riding my bike from La Medina Projects in East LA on Sunday nights to go look at the low rider car clubs cruising Whittier Blvd in East LA,
Later we moved to Santa Ana and it was downtown 4th street. In the 7th grade a white guy named Roger but everyone called him “Fish” (his face looked like a fish) that was all pachuco started F Troop originally there were a half dozen jr. high school kids (67’-68’ Santa Ana)
Shit the music was great!
Today blacks are credited for the “homie gangster” thing, but it was the Mexicans in east LA and Pacoima that were the original “homie gangsters” back then blacks had not even ventured there
My entire mom's side family is from pacoima
Yo i live in Santa Ana and they always have car shows and it's nice to see that it's not dying out, some still dress the same way as pachucos did very nice
La pura verdad ayy i know where the 4th street at in Santa Ana
AtomicLife ayy tell me when the next car show at
I think they are going to have one next month on the first Friday not really sure

I got some flickas from My Varrio in the 80's , where can I submit them to add them to your collection?
Those were the days when they dressed like real Vatos passed down from the Pachuco erea. Style and good taste in music. My first Homeboy grew up banging in the 70,s and 80’s and showed me how to get a fine crease in my Bens. I miss the 90,s
(Juan 3:16) (English version) John 3:16 for god so love the world he gave his only begotten son whosoever believe shall not perish but have everlasting life..

The good ol' days!
Unite the Varrios
X3 + X4 = Self Genocide

Can't be. Never was mentioned to be anyway. Serio Serio
It could happen if the Big Homies running there program really gets on the youngsters doing the dirt. Think about it for a minute, if we can get along in prison and share a bunk with one of your enemigos out in the streats, than it could happen. SouthX3Side NortX4Side Unite!!!
