What's next? GWR's announcements getting the train stops in zones before the first class then standard, cycle spaces and wheelchair facilities pattern? Perhaps SWR would be better with the GWR style announcements instead since Train stops and First class accomodation can be found were better in their way, or SWR could do the regular tone Anne uses for different stations heard from stations managed by other agencies (for example Avanti West Coast) with the "May I have your attention please on platform (number)", "We are sorry to announce that whatever train to wherever had been cancelled", "We are sorry that the (whatever train) is delayed by (how long)" following "This is due to whatever reason" and the "This train is formed of (number) coaches)." including different lines for the zones, whatever facilities and the delay and disruption to journeys.
Great video of announcements at Portsmouth & Southsea, interesting they the start from but did use the passengers are advised to catch the. Looks like they are now rolling out zone announcements on the stations now I heard some at Southampton Central and also they are using sections A and B for small trains when I watched a video from Starlife Studios and they are replacing the old screens with the new white Infotec silver screens as well.
Thanks Jamie! I think they didn’t use more information on how to get to Fratton because no other trains would get there in time before it would’ve departed
Exactly also I heard TPE are now announcing zones as someone heard it at Northallerton and Scarborough are also playing classical music too @@Parallel395
So apprently Salford Central may have a different variant of the KeTech system but possible still has Celia. The new white screens weren't installed until after the refurbishment as they installed a new canopy. Also the boards show very different to the others at other stations one of which it says "This train consist of X carriages and out of context saying please note northern.
@@jamiehooper5328 thanks Jamie, I have done some recording at Salford Central recently. I believe KeTech allows you to show either formed of or consists of as Chiltern uses the latter. The weird thing about Salford Central is there are very long pauses after some of the phrases
@@Parallel395 I think prior to it it wasn't working when Tom went there last year it also included Mind the gap. Wether the system has been replaced or updated I am not too sure. I do remember on one of your videos there was a long pause when Celia said "This service.... is currently at..... Levenshulme."
thanks for doing portsmouth & southsea as i passed through it on 29th september on my way to/from the isle of wight! wonder if you'll do a merseyrail 507/508 announcement before they all get withdrawn and scrapped...
@@Parallel395nice! What about stations on the Isle of Wight? As nobody has recorded announcements at Isle of Wight stations yet. This includes Smallbrook Junction which is only served when the Steam Railway is operating
They have, they used that one for all of the announcements there when they used to have two voices. I don’t know who the other guy was, but I think he was from the area based on how he sounded in Birmingham.
Anne only announces cancellations, delays, platform alterations and generic stuff. Andy used to be the male voice when they both did the full announcements with calling points
@@Parallel395 why is she not doing normal announcement like in Nottingham if they don't want announcement going on at the same time just do once like in Nottingham really they should've did that along time ago.
I’ll never understand why SWR’s version of Rodger has so many pauses with how fast he normally speaks.

Please can you do announcements at Didcot Parkway

Nice video never heard Annes penalty fare announcement before
They used it when they installed them in late 2018 to 2019 but since pandemic it was rarely announced.
Never heard the "and will start from" announcement before
Same
I have when Anne and Rodger announced it at Newton Abbot
Same
Tom once caught it at London Charing Cross.
It can be useful in some instances where a connecting service can be used to reach the service, although not in most circumstances.
Any SE stations announcements coming up soon?
Great video
what is a operational incident
Please say that at new street they brought anne back.
