- There are still a lot of people trying to power a treadmill motor with a cheap voltage controller and inferior bridge rectifier. I do not understand this a high quality parts can be had for not a lot more money

I bought the better setup. But I think I need a different potentiometer. The one that came is a 470k.

None of those will work on my 3 phase treadmill motors! Im gonna cry now,,,,
You need a VFD which is far superior albeit more expensive.

Those small rectifiers do need heatsinks. I’m not saying that that would be sufficient but without one they’ll fail well below their maximum ratings anyway.
I used a heat sink and they still failed.
