If you lived in San Francisco all that stuff or been stolen out of your car in the first five minutes
@@richardnolan27 True enough! Guess if you were unfortunate enough to find yourself living there, you could scale down your edc. Seeing as the city is something like 7 miles across, wouldn’t take much to walk home, but damn I would not want to be there if things really did break down (worse than they are now)! Thanks for tuning in and having the conversation!
Take the heat and learn. UA-camrs for the most part are brutal, but this is a good place for serious knowledge transfer. Be humble, learn as much if not more and you will do fine. Yea there are holes and weaknesses but you will learn!
@@kinch613 Great perspective on the platform as a whole, very refreshing. Thanks for tuning in, and hope to see you in the comments section again!
Rule No. 1 - Never buy an EV. Best choice would be a 1984 Toyota Pickup

Hopefully you’ll keep tuning in to see if they can find something from the 80’s era that’s still rolling! Appreciate you! 🤙🏼
@@USOverwatch I've actually been to 3 different SHTF situations where it came pretty close to an "EMP" type situation. Would love to share my experience, but don't like to show my face soo much :D

Appreciate you coming through!
I loved the opening. I was excited, thinking this was going to be a short movie.
@@ArizonaIrish Glad you liked it, & it actually is a short movie. The intro to each new episode is a continuation from where the story left off. Hope you enjoy the rest of the show, & thanks for tuning in. 🤙🏼
Loved the entire video and especially the dad advice. Mine to my three is “always set an example worth following”.
Appreciate the support! We’re all new to this, so glad to hear we’re moving in the right direction. Outstanding advice, I’m sure your three we be a worthy example to many. 🫡
Amazing production. Great info! Somehow you made that vest look cool.
Appreciate it! I think it’s hard to make that vest look anything but cool! 💙
Always nice seeing other peoples gear setups, love the carrier you got. Cant wait twosee the armor plates go into public production! Thank you for da dad advice too.
Great work US Overwatch team!

@@LonelyRavenProductio thank you for letting us know. We greatly appreciate you subscribing, & hope to make each episode worthy of your time!
🔥🔥 awesome information! Not a lot of people are aware of one of the most possible scenarios that would likely happen to us… an EMP/ Grid down scenario. Those are all Great items to have in your “get home” kit! Everyone should be carrying at least the minimum basics of these items or go out and buy them for the car. I tell everyone they should have a “get home” bag and this video hopefully reaffirms that. Hopefully you’ll be dropping more informative content soon!!
Outstanding to hear brother! Hope to keep fun content and a little helpful information flowing. Thanks again!🙌🏼
Tier 1 Ninja Plate hahahaha. Great video, Blue. Great setup, too. I like the vest. Definitely keeps you low key. I'm gonna have to adopt that. I'm glad you got linked up with Christian over at West Coast Armor. He's a good dude and they have great products. I have one of their carriers as well as some plates from them. And thank you for the shoutout. Man you have some earrrrrrrrly work of mine. Back when I was knee hight to a grasshopper lol. Hope you're doing well out there and enjoying that beautiful weather.
Appreciate you brother and your unwavering support of our community, & for mod’ing our Glocks, so they won’t slip when wet! 🫡🫱🏼🫲🏽💙

Ha ha, I agree… we all know how that movie ends! 🍿

I wish I could afford the body armor, and to be honest, those tiny little pates make me not want to get them being so small, got the guns though, and a get home hydration pack/bag with water, food, and all the normal supplies needed to survive a sketchy time with a couple pistols, and one with 500+ rounds in a belly pack.
In Illinois right now it's not safe to carry your AR in the car!
First off, thanks so much for contributing to the discussion. Plates can be expensive, I get it. However, every step taken to prepare for an emergency increases the likelihood of you surviving it, so good on you for carrying the essentials. Appreciate you tuning in, & hope to see what you think about the future episodes! 🤙🏼
Great information!! Always be ready

@11:20 Good luck opening that tourniquet, still in the plastic shrink wrap, when you need it.
You’re 100% correct, & I thought about that after we posted the video that we advocate for staged tourniquets on your first line gear, & that was just an extra one I leave in the pack. Appreciate you pointing it out… way easier than reshooting the video! Thanks for tuning in and adding to the conversation, hope we see you in the comments again. 🤙🏼

In high school my aunt made rice crispy treats and left them out in the stove. My cousin and I got to his house at like 2 am stoned and ate half the tray, about a half hour later we were both puking our guts out. The marshmallow was bad. I didn’t even know they made faraday bags! Thanks for the info
Yes! GoDark has many options. We were trying out some ideas of our own, but kinda tricky to test them. 😉
Thanks for coming through! 🤙🏼
You may want to add some bank cord. It is lighter and easier to pack then 550 cord, and almost as strong for anything.
Great idea! I also thought (after we filmed) how we use to use paracord for boot laces with the extra wrapped around the top of your jungle boots. Made putting them on a little of a chore, but better to have it. Thanks for the suggestion of Bank cord, appreciate you adding to the conversation we got going on here. Hope to see you in the comments again. 🫡
Very nice - good job
Much appreciated, & thanks for taking the time to let us know! Hope you enjoy the series. 🤙🏼
Get a faraday duffle for your kit. That’ll protect your comms, lights, NODs, and optics. 300BO was designed to be run with a 9”bbl out to 400m and still have 7.62x39 ballistics….
@@HDBujutsu1775 Outstanding! Thanks for jumping in and adding to the conversation. We’ll have to try out the 9” barrel & see how it works for us. Hope you enjoyed the episode. 🤙🏼
@@USOverwatch absolutely.
@@USOverwatch I’ve had great luck with 9” -12” barrels on the 300BO with supers and subs. The faraday duffle holds all of my kit and ruck so I don’t have to worry about loosing my electronics.
If I’m more than a few miles from home, I’m borrowing a bicycle.
Not a bad idea at all! Thanks for the suggestion and for tuning in! Hope to see you in the comments again! 🤙🏼
That said, good job!

You might want to try that magnifying lense to light a fire. It has been said it needs to be atleast 3 inches in dia. and around 5x.
Agreed! Always the best practice to try your gear out before you “need” it! Thanks for jumping into the conversation, & hope you’re enjoying the rest of the series! 🤙🏼
He should have checked to see if the vehicle would start. From EMP testing they also said that if you disconnect the battery to reset the vehicle computer the vehicle may start as well, might as well check before having to beat feet.....Just saying.
Outstanding perspective! That’s a huge part of what this is about, getting people to share their knowledge too. Thanks for adding to the conversation & hope to see you in the discussions on some of our future episodes. 🤙🏼
That “ar152” looks like a uv5r inside a case to make it oook like a military MBTR radio…
It does! I’m sure by design.😉
Good thing is that it fits all of our old MBTR pouches… save a little coin! Thanks for checking us out!🤙🏼
Man, I'm not even sure you should walk with a bag. I went down to an iwb holster for my 17 with 3 mags bottle of water, 2 energy bars, and a small med kit in my back pocket and hope I make it home
That approach is a good one & would definitely be less conspicuous, but I have a big family, so I need the means to carry a little more on their behalf (if they were with me). I appreciate you sharing your set up, & hope you enjoy our other episodes! 🤙🏼
I concur wholeheartedly. I understand the scenario here but for the majority of situations and where most of us need to go/cover, a fanny back is MORE than adequate (if you've come dressed for the weather or those clothes are in your vehicle.). I've never understood people loading up pretty much with an I.n.c.h. bag just to walk a measly 20-30 clicks...
@@KingofConduits I like the approach, & have a few fanny pack options for when I’m out and about. Maybe we can do a fanny pack rundown for getting back home! Thanks for adding to the conversation, appreciate it.
Excellent.
@@DCavalcade Much appreciated! Thanks for tuning in!🤙🏼
In an EMP, that baofeng is also toast
Theoretically the faraday bag is supposed to protect its contents, but guess we won’t know until we know. Appreciate you coming through!
@@USOverwatch And that is why I keep my radios, NVG, a whole computer with a few thousand books on it, a bunch of batteries, chargers, a 30w solar panel etc. in double faraday bags when not in use.

No console vault for all that hardware? Poor security.
Great idea, you should definitely secure your hardware from easy pilfering. As for us, we wouldn’t show all our secrets on YT, probably wouldn’t even show our real vehicles. We always try to think chess, not checkers. Appreciate you adding to the conversation, hope you enjoyed the rest of the video! 🤙🏼
Going covert or overt is dependent on location and distance between you and home. More importantly you should be prepared for.
1) double or triple the miles to home and plan accordingly.
2) double the amount of time you estimate to get home.
3) don't short cut through people yards or property, you would do the same to them if they was in your yard after it jumps off.
4) bring some damn food and be prepared to bug in ant your current location for 72 hours.
Boom! Preach!🤙🏼
Just a heads up most mechanical watches will fail during an EMP attack. If the hair spring becomes magnetized from the EMP the watch will stop working. It has to be a ceramic or non-magnetic metal type hairspring. Even then it is semi-questionable whether or not a mechanical watch will survive an EMP attack due to other parts becoming magnetized. There are specific watches designed to survive high gauss environments. Like the Rolex milgauss.
Also you might want to keep electronics in that Faraday bag for at least an hour or two a day after an EMP attack. The atmosphere can remain charged for quite some time. Also your compass will be useless after an EMP attack if it is not protected.
That’s some amazing insight, thanks for sharing! After posting Episode 1 we’ve received a lot of useful feedback. As I can’t afford the Rolex just yet, I can add a backup watch to the faraday bag. Great insight on the compass as well! Hopefully we never get to see how an EMP would affect everything we’ve prepped, but it we enjoy tackling the subject. Thanks again for adding to the conversation, & hope you enjoy the rest of the series. 🤙🏼

SWEET!! Nice to see channels getting up that are California based
@@USOverwatchwith traitors in America like the mob who attacked the Capital, I can't imagine why anyone would worry about foreign attacks on our Country.
Yeah, using a baofeng that has just been "beefed up" in size to mimic a PRC152 for airsofters isn't the way to go.
@@tomfiremissionblog5283 what’s your recommendation? We are newer to developing our own comms plans (previously we were just issued radios). We did some leg work in advance and found them to be satisfactory for us to learn on, and cheap enough to have a few spares on hand should one break or we needed to handoff one to someone.
Better than smoke signals...
@@joeh.3635 Agreed! 😂
Thanks for dropping into the comments, hope you enjoy the series.
@@USOverwatch I would suggest a DMR that can also do analog. There are some that you can get for sub 200 dollars, with aes265 encryption. If you want better, that will of course be more expensive. If you want some handouts for people, baofengs can be a gap filler, but shouldn't be your primary. The quality just isn't there with baofengs en everyone can hear what you say. Not even going to address the smoke signals...
A tesla😂
Seemed like the only option for this episode! 🤣
Never leave a tourniquet in the wrapper. Learn to stage it properly and deploy it within 30 seconds. This is coming from a professional in the field you will not have time to rip it open with your teeth

Just my two cents….to me it will probably be hard to even use cash if the stores registers aren’t working either! Just saying.
