Best part of this video, each of your Smiles and $hit-eating-Grins are your authentic emotional response to how this amp sounds and feels. Thank you for sharing this with us Eric.
Congrats, great score adding this amp to your arsenal.
Love the delay you’re using…sounds so fat.
Are the Dallas era or Rose Morris any good?
Ok dude, guns, guitars and what else? Fishing? If so, man we are brothers

Love what you do man! 🤙🏻
That thing sounds amazing
Very happy to see an AC30 on this channel. It has become my all time favorite amp and i really enjoy how you dig into the notes in your demos. How anyone decided that AC30's are supposedly not great pedal platforms is a mistery to me - it sounds massive with OD and Fuzz of all kinds and doesn't collapse even when blasting a 20db boost in front. Thansk for the inspiring tones!
This is bar far one of my desert island amps. It’s seriously one of the best guitar amplifiers on earth.
Killer amp! One of the best studio amps out there.
A Tele & an AC30, that is a tasty, tasty combo 👍
Yeah I can’t believe no one watches these videos lol I’d love to check out that room in person man holy cow.
yep, people just love more fancy videos, maybe. we are just lucky enough to find these nice videos made by this nice person!
I love that germanium pedal... Wooohooo good tone brother....
These where made by Dallas in the Shoeburyness plant from 72-78, notice it has VSL on the back plate not JMI, this is the reverb model, there was a straight up TB ac30.
This is a later one as the first 100 or so still had the blue or silver bells in, this has the Celestion greenbacks.
Great amps for sure.
I have the same amp! Not seen many of them in circulation. The reverb was taken out of mine though and the reverb pot wired up as a master volume, which I don't use as it defeats the cut control. Mine could use a service and some TLC.
These are Dallas Arbiter era and in this config (with reverb) made between 1976-1978 before moving to PCB strips. They are fairly close to JMI-era specs but with solid state rectification, I think Rose Morris took ownership of Vox around 1982. My understanding is that these amps are rare in the US as Dallas Arbiter did not hold the distribution rights to Vox in North America.
I think its already an Rose Morris era AC30. Rose Morris era starts 1978.
@@johannessetschodi9249 Don't know about the amp in the vid but mine is definitely Dallas Arbiter is it is handwired on tag strips not semi-PCB like the Rose Morris amps. Some of the pots date to 76 and I think the Celestion blackback G12Ms date to 77.
Hello, is there a way to have the reverb on without tremolo/vibrato? It seemed like every setting on the tremolo channel had the trem always engaged. Thanks!
What are your delay settings? I must have this sound! Please.
Those ROLA's are normal for RM/DA aera and for me they sound better then any Silver- or Bluedog. It's just curious that an Amp sold by a small music dealer out of Schwabach/Swabia Germany ends up in Atlanta/US...maybe taken home by a GI which was stationed in Grafenwoehr or Hohenfels?
Very plausible explanation
Eric I think the smartest thing you ever did was play a tele through an ac30
With that having been said everyone who does not have a handwired ac30 just hate you
Wait no way! It’s IV8888! We share both of the same hobbies
Yeah, surprised me as well when this guitar channel started showing up in my feed.
Both are expensive hobbies, to bad for me as I can't help myself.
Wow! That amp is AMAZING! Is it yours? If so, what’d it run you (if you don’t mind me asking)?
Yes I own this one. I think I paid like $2200 for it
Worth EVERY penny! I’d NEVER let that one go if I could help it. Listening through my best headphones it sounded great (via UA-cam nonetheless!). I can only imagine how it sounds sitting next to it. That’s a real keeper!
What about the handwired AC30s that are currently being made?
I haven’t played through one so I can’t elaborate
Hi, this amp have EF86 pre amp?
I have a hand wired AC 30 it is a Hayden I think that they are made in the 🇬🇧 UK
Correct, all of the vintage examples were manufactured in the UK.
Fender, Marshall and Vox should cover all the bases for popular tone/songs.
Guns and ac30's ??
Can anyone tell me exactly what pickup-set is in that Tele please ??
These are Barden Gatton Ts
@@Guitarsenal Thanks Man !
Is this aDallas era?
I betcha it is very expensive
You get what you pay for. Thankfully the Vox amplifiers hold their value better than many.
