I've been here before and met up with some of the locals. Its a gnarly steep day at baseline. I've got a nice big scar on my leg from a dirty burn when I touched my leg on my disc when shuttling up. Always remember, lol.

Awesome freeriding trails! 😎 I love those kind of steeps! What works best for me to avoid arm-pump, is to release my brake levers from time to time. With that kind of selective braking, it is more fun and less "sour forearms" 😉

I can't imagine what it's like to ride your mountain bike on snow! Snowboard... that's a different story.

Haha no I just had my normal rear tire on, which is a Maxxis Aggressor 2.3. It's not a total semi-slick, but it is a much lower profile tire than say, a DHF or a DHR. I would have loved a Maxxis Shorty for these trails!

Thanks! Well, I used to own a fat bike, which worked great on snow of course, but I don't have much experience with winter riding a normal bike. Sorry I can't help with this one!

Nice! Find a bike that suites your riding style (downhill, cross country, a bit of both, etc) and fits your budget and get out to ride as much as possible. Find some local riding groups and get connected! Hope that helps. Thanks for checking out the video Mr Crussher

Nice! I know that GoPro doesn't show how steep is descent in reality! It's good test of your skills in the cocktail of ground, snow and ice, because without skills you can not only crash but also bump into some trees by the way!
What tires did you used there, Maxxis Agressor and Minion or anothers? =)
+Alex Karliychuk thanks! Yup DHF in the front which was great, and the Aggressor in the rear. Wish I had something with a little more bite like a DHR or a Shorty for this stuff though.

Nice! Also, changing your view from super wide to medium with show the depth... steepness more. Although I feel incredible uncomfortable telling you anything film related as you're a photographer and your uploads are much more clear than mine. Wish my color and detail was like yours! How does the steepness compare to Mt. 7?
Never done Mt.7 actually, but I can say that this mountain has steeper sections than anywhere else I've ridden (especially when talking about *sustained* steep sections).

+123 MTB depends on the riding you're doing, but starting with a decent open face trail helmet is a good start! Head into your local shop and they'd be happy to hook you up.
