MFX Ambient Patch

  • Minimalist generative ambient, using a stupid number of MFX modules. The Eurorack version of ALM Busy Circuits MFX is around £237, so using nine of them at once like this would cost £2,133 in hardware!
    Geeky patch details:
There are four voices feeding into three MFX delays in Digi-PCM Echo mode. Modulating the bandwidth parameter with precise values from ADDR sequencers triggers the fluttering octave delay effect. Using groups on the Mindmeld Auxspander effect sends, the delays feed into each other too, and also into another MFX with the Almicon reverb algorithm. Each delay is also routed through an instance of MFX running the Ensemble effect.
The percussive voices are a Busy Circuits MCO oscillator through a short envelope and good old Rings (which always sounds good through interesting delays). Pads are just single notes on Warpcore and Prodigal Son through a huge reverb setting in Valhalla Supermassive (running in Host-FX modules), one of which goes through a Vult DJ filter with a very slow LFO modulating the cut-off frequency to bring it in and out.
Please like/share/subscribe etc. if you found any of this nonsense useful ;)
