I’ve been around planes for a large portion of my life. I was a ramp agent for American and more recently became first officer for United after I switched careers (my intent was to always go to flights school and acquire my ATP License). These planes are strong, very strong. They do testing all the way from throwing dead birds into the Turbines, spraying ungodly amounts of water at full throttle all the way to testing the wings, the wings on some of these Aircraft can flex and touch tip to tip without breaking, this would never happen in reality though and is done in a controlled environment by the Aircraft Manufacturer. Also, Sure you’ve heard this before but, turbulence is nothing to worry about and some you should grow to enjoy, it’s the only eventful experience during the whole flight in my opinion. While everyone is freaking out in the cabin during turbulence and you start to get nervous just remember, the pilots in the flight deck are either reading the newspaper, taking their allowed Nap, drinking coffee, reading a book or having a conversation during the turbulence, they’re not worried. There are approximately 100,000 flights per day in the world, almost 37,000,000 globally a year, Billions upon billions of miles flown in commercial aviation history and billions of flights over time. You know how many have crashed? 1,500… such a minuscule number comparatively.

Was great to see this flight as my love of aviation stemmed from my time growing up in Papua New Guinea for 16 years as a kid. I spent hours at Jacksons Airport plane watching and flying on all many classics, Fokker F27, F28, DC-3 and Air Niugjnis 707's, A300 and A310s and then their 767s and 737's. I also spent hours flying around PNG through the beautiful Highlands mountains and awesome coastlines on little Cessnas, Islanders, Twin Otters and many more. I had many friends who were flight attendants with Air Niugini and the service was always great. Pity you didn't spend any time in PNG as its a unique beautiful country with a hugely rich aviation history and some brilliant flying on some of the most remote hairiest shortest air strips in the world. Typical Pacific Islands charm on this airline, maybe one day you get back.

Don't judge lest you be judged! However if he was in any way disruptive through his choices, of course the crew should not serve him.

Thanks for sharing, Noel! Brings back such good memories of SIN and the 14hr flight back to LHR. Looks like a cool airline, too! Shame BA got rid of their 76's, as I flew from EDI to LHR onboard one and it was full to the rafters with pax for the morning commuter rush.

I see so many lounges where you either have to eat with a tiny plate on your lap or lean to the side to use a little side table. I wonder why those who don't have ample table room, don't just put flip up tray tables in the arm rest, similar to the seats on the plane. I've sat in really nice lounges where there are only a dozen seats around a normal table and you end up on a lounger, while trying to still eat like a human.

Man, can we have those retro 70’s and 80’s style overhead bins again? It’s one of the few things I’ve missed from the past millennia in terms of commercial planes. The best example is definitely the one in the TriStar, where the absence of the middle bin made it like a huge cinema.

Looking at that business class seat between the lavatories, I was floored. 😀 I feel bad for the poor sod who gets that seat. The 767 is a pretty cool aircraft. I flew my share of those in the 80's and 90's. I was amazed at how much legroom the business class seats had. Like you said, some of the retro airplanes are the most awesome ones to be on.

Little did I know my best friend and fellow AV geek Jerry would pass away 8 weeks later. Special memories on a great airplane. Keep traveling safe and welcome to the United States🥰

Excellent vid, there's something comforting about a clean, well kept, older plane. Except for a puddle jumper I'd prefer the jetbridge any time. I'll always remember transferring flights decades ago boarding a red-eye in St. Louis in a driving rain. It was so bad they were escorting passengers from the gate to the airstairs. It was so windy I should have been worried, but I 'd just mustered out of the service and noting could spoil that day.
Deliver me from buses to remote stands, they're the worst of all worlds.

Hi Noel, I enjoyed this video as always. However, what puzzles me, if you "grew up" with the 767, as I did with the IL-18, why don't you explore the 767-paradise, Japan ? Three airlines still operate a considerable fleet of 767s, and if you reserve your seat a half a year in advance and plan your trip carefully, you can make deals of 60-70 EUR one way on any of the route network of ANA, JAL or Air Do. The 767s are here for not much longer, since ANA and JAL are now renewing their fleets at an alarming speed. Come over and see my small Aviation Museum at my home in Yokohama and we have a beer (or two) together and you can also enjoy the unmatched beauty and nature of this country.

Great video and seeing interesting airlines keeps me interested.
I might have flown on that same plane given how few they have! Too bad you didn’t get a chance to spend a few days. PNG - not pronounced ping - was an annual stop for me in the early 2000s. Between the Fokker 28s, 100s, and Airlines PNG’s Dash 8, flying was great for an enthusiast like me.
Thanks for flying PX. Looking forward to reboot other interesting airlines.

After seeing "that seat" my immediate thought that it was good that they didn't serve a meal with beans, cabbage or broccoli. Then I saw your breakfast. 🤣🤣🤣
Boarding from the tarmac via stairs for the win!!!! That's how we boarded our return to ORD from LIS on a beautiful TAP A330-900neo a few days ago. Downside is that required a stupid long trip in the bus from the most remote gate at LIS to a parking spot as far as possible from the terminal, and we had to remain on the bus for another 10 minutes while the cleaning crew completed their work.

My first flight ever was with Laker Airways DC10 in 1980 from Gatwick to Oakland and back; followed the next year by Gatwick to LA and back in a British Airtours Lockheed Tristar. My internal flights were all by PSA 727 - there’s a pattern here of three engines! On all occasions, I was seated at the back, so I could smoke. Thankfully I gave up many years ago, but those were the days 😂😂😂
