@richardranke7878 Absolutely 💯 I remember well the cash registers like the one at Connie's store. Lots of the expressions Eli uses. Betty driving to call emergency rescue at the Peyton house fire because there were no cell phones. And, of course, the clothes, hairstyles and cars. ❤
Elliott seems to think his being editor of a newspaper gives him a kind of free-lance law-enforcement status. While I certainly appreciate his concern over Allison, he simply goes about it all wrong. Even Connie seems to have given up on her ever being found. In reality, though, I don't think it would've been that difficult for police or the FBI to find the girl, even back in that less high-tech era of the 60's; after all, it wasn't THAT primitive, although some aspects of it do seem that way to many of us now. On another note, I feel that Betty, were she written for a TV series today, would have a full-time job of her own, not just moping around waiting for Steven to come home, doing his bidding, etc. While I'm sure loyalty between spouses still exists in today's world, her sneaky activities on his behalf probably would be viewed by many of today's women as laughably ludicrous. Wives just don't act like that. Her character would be written much differently, I'm sure. Then again, what do I know?
In an episode of All In The Family, Edith was commenting about African Americans being police officers, nurses and doctors then she stated: " They've come a long way on Television!"
Rodney's off to the garage in his suit!! LOL
All his clothes are there, so it stands to reason he would change before working on any cars.
I remember when mail packages were (permitted to be) wrapped with twine, why back before I became old.....
Nowadays these old shows are almost a Time Capsule of the mid-20th Century.
My boss made me wrap every box for his store with twine. Late 60s. Bloody fingers. AND easy to use packing tape had already been invented.

I knew/know many men like Leslie Harrington. Arrogant, thinking there above everything, but their true nature comes through time and time again.
I still say if Rod cared as much about his chicks like he does Rita he would be better off.
Rita doesn't demand anything from him. It's easy for him to care about her.
It was becoming common to cast African Americans as police, nurses, teachers, etc on T V in the late sixties. Also in shows with ensemble casts.
Carson needs to calm down, stop taking matters into his own hands.
I like the guy, but he can't just have a conversation, he has to yell and try to throw his weight around.
Halleluja that is the first time mr. Carson act with sensiblle behavoure.when he got to the police station. and he dont blow up .like he always do.

@@musicalme27 Why do you have a need to correct others you’re just making an ass of yourself!
Glad to see Elliott is getting put in his place.
You have no right to be with the police officer when he questions somebody ELLIOTT!

,having African Americans in authority roles was very much ahead of the day
