That took a lot of faith & love for Rita for Ada to hire Eddie! She’ll have to sleep with one eye open to make sure that he’s not up to something shifty.
It seems that the old Martin Payton was suddenly ill and they needed a new one very quickly. I am very certain that they did not do as thorough a job casting the second Peyton because they could not. They probably had to settle for the best one available ASAP. And, it was only temporary.
@@kayjackson8922 I love Dan Duryea! Great character actor. The Little Foxes! Scarlet Street, The Woman In The Window. So many more. He was great. He was in a Twilight Zone episode. Played a drunk. He's magic on the screen.
@@kayjackson8922 Surely you can separate the actor from the character -- or maybe not? "Somehow, I don't like Eddie; a bit slimy" -- is a spot-on, A+ reaction thanks to the excellent writing and the superb, skillful performance, with NOTHING said OR IMPLIED about Duryea.
Dr. Rossi - beautiful man, great actor!!
I was a child through most of the 60's but I love the dresses and some of the hairstyles. I wore the child versions of the dresses.
we are in 2024 and I am thinking of cutting my hair like connie's
Wore these outfits in jr high and high school.
And we can see how Lee has begun to truly care for Mr. Peyton.
Why? Is he as lovable as Lee's dear old dad?
sound became better again, so good…… :)

That's more like it. Sounds much better. The muffled hiss of the previous episode i was beginning to think I had tinnitus
+Sam Edwards I do and I'm painfully struggled thru the last 4.
DITTO!
I am thinking about stop watching because the sound is unbearable.
Ditto
I agree, but earbuds help and fortunately it's only a few episodes. I'm really happy the episodes were posted regardless, thank you!
12:59 “what’s on your tiny little mind.”😂
"Hats are not worn in the house" - the funniest clip on PP.
Notice how so many patriarchs on this show (Martin Peyton, Les Harrington, Eddie Jacks, Jack Chandler, and George Anderson) were all villainous.
George Anderson wasn't villainous. He had untreated PTSD and self-medicated with alcohol.
Not Les....I feel he had all good reason to be connected with bad guys just to deal with MP manipulation.
If Lee was as book smart as he is street smart, he could be a valuable ally to Martin, and a formidable foe to Rodney and Steven.
Dr Rossi has attractive eyes😍
He is REALLY handsome
Oooh Adrienne is a snobby one, isn't she?
WHERE does Dr Rossi find the time to be so well-groomed? His hair alone must take a full hour.
Poor Webbah Peyton is behind it all....doesn't he know that?
I could see Adrienne trying to poison Martin with his meds in order to get his money & be cut from their deal.
Don’t like this Martin Peyton. The other Martin Peyton was a lot more nasty and ornery. Was perfect for the part.
Though this one has better teeth -- by far -- and clearer enunciation; no mumbling.
It seems that the old Martin Payton was suddenly ill and they needed a new one very quickly. I am very certain that they did not do as thorough a job casting the second Peyton because they could not. They probably had to settle for the best one available ASAP. And, it was only temporary.
Oh so Dr Rossi is Mr Peyton’s doctor again? I thought he told Steven he wasn’t
Eddie has a terrible high pitched childish voice-- and this Martin isn't as good, never thought I'd miss the old robotic voice of the first Martin : )
The original Peyton had to leave the show for health reasons, but he returned for a little while before he had to retire.
Wanda James He makes me think of Squiggy from “Laverne and Shirley.”
@@conniewh4189 Hardly, that’s disrespectful to Dan Duryea.
Somehow I don't like Eddie. A bit slimy
compared to Adrienne, Eddie's a saint.
oh no, i LOVE Dan Duryea. hes an awesome actor!! check out some of his movies from 40's and 50's
