Always happy to learn from you after attending your class at Trivandrum for the first time.. recommended to many of my colleagues too.. thanks for the sincere effort n teaching.🙏🏻
Hello Dr Moiz Ur inputs are life changing. Thanks for the tips, it was very helpful. What if we want to use zirconia overlay/ onlay??? What wud be the bonding / luting protocol?
I just use ivoclean. Yes, it’s expensive but it only takes 20s has a great colour and my assistant loves doing it for me. When it runs out I will try Naocl. What concentration do u recommend?
This is one of those commen sence tips that ,when you hear it the first time ,you wonders why such a simple jugad did not occur to you till in the first place . Anyways great tip doc . I will not be buying ivoclean anymore .
If there is some patient who has come to re-cement the crown ,made from some where else...how can we make out what it is zirconia or lithium disilicate & best way to rebond or lute it in this situation?
Doc...pls help...i need a new crown for my front teeth.set of three.doctors tried pfm but that's look very bad n luking like bunny teeth.im still without teeth.pls suggest me or help me
we don't etch zirconia crown with Hydrofluoric acid as it will weaken the bond. Then, is there a need for silane application to the sandblasted crown and etching ,bonding of tooth surface prior to bonding with resin?
Do we need to apply silane primer to the inner surface of zirconia crown ..after etching with hydrofluoric acid ? Beautibond from shofu is it enough to apply it on the tooth and cure it before luting zirconia monolith with dual cure ? Eagerly waiting for your reply
Zirconia crown internal surface treatment for final cementation:1.Naocl 5% or ivoclean (ivoclar)20 sec 2.sandblast with 50μ Al particles 3.Steamclean or supersonic with alchool 4.Apply Mdp primer(i use scotchbond universal ) if you bond with luting cement without mdp(see the instructions),if you use luting cement with mdp(again see the instructions) you don't need The mdp primer.5 Apply the dual curing cement to the crown and that's it.Hope i helpedgreetings from Greece
zirconia has a very high tendency to bond with phosphate.this phosphate can be of phospholipids exist in saliva or the phosphate comes from phosphoric acid, so after trying it is contaminated with saliva and to remove its bonding, it should be sandblasted and never cleans with phosphoric acid. my question is ,to bond zirconia with cements we should use resin cements which contain MDP or zinc phosphate cements which contain phosphate group? is it right ???
Do u recommend applying zirconia primer after sandblasting along with dual cure (self adhesive to tooth or conditioning tooth surface either ways) resin cements?

Ur lectures are amazing ...ur the best sir..love from Pakistan
wonderful tip Sir..faced decementation issue with few of zirconia crowns but now will do what you adviced..Thank you so much
Hi , Love ur short videos, but missing now days, keep up the good work 👍
Great tip Dr Moez,
Excited for season 3. Would like to learn how to do prosthetic in implants
does that apply to veneers to?
Great tip Sir .
Simply Great
Great tip Moez sir❤
Thanks for your valuable information, doc pls pls make vedio abt acrylic rpd design, trimming of unfavourable undercuts, inserion
Ur tips r precious ❤
Hello Dr Moiz

Thank you sir
Can you also give a is tip how to reduce the sensitivity after rest seat prep in overly sensitive patients where u don't want to go for RCT etc
Look out for a Tip-See-Tue on this soon 😁
Sir any role of mdp

Sounds like a plan... 3-5% for a few seconds is all it takes
Sir do we need to rinse zirconia crown with water after ckeaning it with NaOCl?
Pls tell us the conc. Of sodium hypochloride to use

Let's invest that hard earned money more productively ❤️
Sir, should we use bonding agent and then light cure it before applying the cement?
Advisable not to light cure the bonding agent
Sir can we use a 3M bond on to the tooth surface cure it and then place the RMGIC inside the zirconia crown ?
If there is some patient who has come to re-cement the crown ,made from some where else...how can we make out what it is zirconia or lithium disilicate & best way to rebond or lute it in this situation?
Awesome video!
Can we use bonding agent bfr cementing?
Aluminum oxide sandblasting works??
Absolutely... Ideally with 50micron powder
@@DrMoezKhakianiMDSMumbai thanks brother Dr. I hv been using that technique for quite a long time
This doc ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Most of the time same problem happens now no more
Go ahead 😄
Sir can we use ivoclean for the biofilm and then use sandblast ?
Absolutely... Alternatively use NaOCl and then sandblast... It's like a million times cheaper 😉
@@DrMoezKhakianiMDSMumbai NaOCL will not ruin the staining and glazing ? Or even the occlusal surface texture ?
Not at all
@@DrMoezKhakianiMDSMumbai ok, thank you sir
Best wishes

Where are you located ?
Nainital (uttarakhand)
Could we clean zirconia with Zirclean instead of use NaOCl and bond with Z prime?
Yes. But cleaning with sodium hypochlorite is much cheaper.
If u wish to invest where unnecessary, sure👍🏼
Hi doc...can you use gic for zirconia veneer?
Not a fan of making veneer with Zirconia

Sure... That would be recommended for zirconia bonding to tooth...

We don't need to pretreat the zirconia crowns when using gic or rm gic?
You are correct in saying that.
@@DrMoezKhakianiMDSMumbai keep rocking 🙂
Which one is better rmgic ? GC fugicem or any other brand ?
I like 3M Lute 2
Fir bi nikalta h boss pr sandblasting bala step nhi kiya
If Ur using dual cure than we can cure it also ..hope does not weakened
Feel free to use resin provided you have surface treated the zirconia.
Sir after sandblasting should we clean the crown with water again or dry it with 3 way syringe
Clean with air-water spray.. that's enough...
@@DrMoezKhakianiMDSMumbai thanku sir
I've had 2 decementation of zirconia crowns. In both cases I was using resin cement.
Time to pre-treat with NaOCl... 👍🏼
Check the luring surface and see if it looks glazed or rough.
So if we are using Gic or rmgic for zirconia, hypo / ivoclean or sandblasting treatment is not required?
That is correct
In case of cementing zr crowns with gic/rmgic, does NaOCl treatment after try increase the bond strength?
NaOCl removes d biofilm from d inside of zirconia crown thereby improving bond strength with resin cement
Not really... Hence NaOCl is for use with dual cure resin cements only

Not sure why would u want to use zinc phospate at all these days???
Why zinc phosphate??
Do u recommend applying zirconia primer after sandblasting along with dual cure (self adhesive to tooth or conditioning tooth surface either ways) resin cements?
If yes monobond plus is the 1 that shud b used right?
Bye bye Ivoclean
We now have a trillion times cheaper material 😁
