charles brandon telling his friend that he is going to mary catherine brooke the clips do not belong to me but are the property of there rightfull owners
am I the only one that loves the fact Callum Blue ended up playing Zod in Smallville after this, when Henry ended up as Superman in Man of Steel? And no matter how many times I watch this series, he (Callum) will always be Andrew Jacoby, Duke of Kenilworth...
The other actor, not Henry of course, played General Zod in the smallville tv series, and some years later Henry was cast as our new Superman back in '13!
This scene is one of the VERY few times where there are famous gable hoods that were common in tudor england in this show. On this show we NEVER see any of the main women characters wear the famous gable and french hoods!
Mary and Katherine wore a crescent hood with a snood in some of their scenes. Which doesn't seem too far off from the french hood crescent and it has a hair cover. I'm certain some women in those ages also wore snoods, or even the hair bare although braided. Katherines portrait as a teenager shows her with an early french hood so I think she wore those already before Anne, and snoods were in fashion in Italy that time as well with younger women. So i think in those scenes the crescent and snood was pretty accurate :) for the tudors standard of course...
@@Dryadkal A woman could dispense with a hood if she was wearing a crown. A maiden was permitted to wear her hair loose and unbound. But a married woman was supposed to wear a hood of some sort.
@andromache007 it was after mary (in show margaret died) and catherines surname was not brooke but willoughby and rl she was 14 marrying charles and was 1st promised to his son henry but mnarried her and he wanted her 15000 pounds a year as he was broke
@@freyamorphett7582 How is it that Charles could marry his ward? As I remember, Catherine's father had died, and (in the absence of other male relatives) was sole heiress to the family fortune. Willoughby? Wonder if Catherine was the daughter of Katherine of Aragon's maid-of-honor (Maria de Salinas)?
and I'm gonna marry Charles Brandon.
He's dead
And then you woke up

Jakegothicsnake The gable hoods were popular with Katherine and Jane. Anne apparently preferred the French hoods.
