- This is a video about the memories Henry VIII and Charles Brandon have together. I have used the last scene from them together where they were bringing back up memories and put video's from the moments the could have bin thinking of in between the pieces of it.
The video's are from Showtime's 'The Tudors' and the song is 'You Raise me up' from Disney's 'The Lion King'

Honestly if anything, I think Henry 8th and Charles Brandon were the true love story of the Tudor era, because this guy survived through everything despite Henry's known unstable temper, didn't end up executed when others probably would have for "betrayals" and when he died, Henry paid for his funeral, seriously, the King didn't pay for anyone else's funeral except Charles Brandon, I think that speaks to just even historically how important Charles was to Henry.

I always found it interesting that in real life, though initially marrying in secret and erupting Henry's anger. They did a proper ceremony which Henry attended. Most people called for Charles to be executed but Henry ignored them. It's partially why i love history, sometimes it surprises you. Charles would enjoy (if i recall correctly) nearly 40 years of friendship with Henry, testament to their deep friendship.
@@joseffevans4085 Yeah, if it had been any other man who courted and married his sister behind his back, Henry VIII would have thrown them to the wolves and had them beheaded without mercy. He was not usually a kind and merciful king. Charles Brandon truly was like family to him. He really loved the guy.

Yes but...but it was a loyal relationship between a king an a man...not a friendship. I mean Brandon was sick in bed in fever and the king command him to get up and go see him. That effort probably killed him. A friend doesn't do that!

Wow, the power of love that ran between these two men. Always loyal to end, duke of Suffolk was the true hero in this story. Finished the entire story, and there’s nothing to compare. In awe of these two men and their acting. Brilliant.
no matter how many times I have watched this..I always cry when Charles dies. I will forever have a soft spot in my heart for Charles Brandon!!!
When I first started watching the Tudors it was for Jonathan, then I saw Henry ....😍 Hello! I especially love his look as he aged, like a fine wine and I savered every drop!
I have to admit I watched it for Henry. This bloke is insanely and ridiculously hot 😍🔥🔥and soon we'll be enjoying him as Geralt, The Witcher ⚔️🎉

I think The Tudors was some,if maybe not the best of Henry's acting thus far. In season four when his character needed to develop more layers and depth,he delivered. I kind of miss Henry doing roles that require pulling something up from the soul...because I believe he can do it.
He always puts his soul on his acting but I know what you mean and I feel the same...

I want to see Henry do roles with depth, not just looks and muscles. We demean him and what he is capable of if he we only focus on his outer appearance.

agree but he seems to gravitate to the roles were it's only about his body. I was hoping he would have his own production company so he could have more diverse roles.In The Witcher were he met his mother was an amazing sin. He didn't have to say a word, it was all in his eyes

I am very profoundly touched by this video. I have watched the series and I recall that I balled my eyes out and broke down in tears. The actors did a phenomenal job on this series. Long live Henry!

I think Charles Brandon was a lot more practical and manipulative than the show made him. I think that there was definitely more to the story than history recorded but I'll just keep it at a "bro-mance", speaking as one of the many descendants of Charles Brandon. Love the show though! Oh yeah and he was quite handsome for his time in reality too.

Music is really killing it....I get the passions, but you can't have two passions running at the same time in opposite directions. It's not going in sync.
I couldn't stand Charles brandon in season 1, he was a horrible selfish immature man whore, but he grew up in the later seasons and became a great man, and through it all the one consistent thing, was his beautiful friendship & loyalty to Henry... ❤️❤️

Charles Brandon married the Kings sister Mary not the Kings sister Margaret.
They changed it because they thought having two Mary Tudor's would confuse people.
