    Forever beautiful~
    I have become housebound due to illness, and work so hard to help others in similar predicaments. I create Fae Factory art, which uses old broken antique pieces and makes them beautiful. This symbolizes hope and strength coming from our feelings of brokenness and life's challenges. The Dalai Lama has inspired me to create, and embrace my life's position. Life can be hard, but it can still be good. As he says, we can all be teachers.
    His message of compassion is incredible!

    He is a great person, i wish i could ever be able to behave as good as Him. but many times my ego and selfishness don't cease on nagging me.i can't sacrifice without thinking of me too.wish i could be free of these, and be very pure and "compassionate". He is my inspiration.

    I'm very grateful to Tibet and the Dalai Lama for bringing Vajrayana Buddhism to the world. The Dalai Lama has singlehandedly probably brought awareness of Buddhism to more people second to Shakyamuni. The Dalai Lama has also made the sacred practice of Dorje Shugden the most well known throughout the world. Thank you Dalai Lama!

I have learned so much from his love and compassion. Without you Dalai my journey would not be complete. Much Love and Compassion, Hope and Prosperity to you. To clarify: The 'New Zealand kiss' is called a 'hongi'. Pushing the nose and forehead together (once, sometimes twice, gently) symbolizes the sharing of breath, being of one life force. It has no romantic/sexual connotations like the kiss. It's spiritual.
    The Dalai Lama is so sweet

    smiling he told me it is not necessary to kiss his foot and took my hand gently, lifting me from my bow and said "do not become a buddhist, the world has enough ,rather become compassionate'. now he is only a man, but there are universal absolute truths available to all of us equally ,for we appear to be seperate beings and we are yet at the same moment we are the whole as well,and we will resonate sympathetically with others, Namaste.

    He is a World Leader, a leader for all the world. He teaches peace for Tibet, China and all the World.
    I feel very fortunate to be able to see his interview. In Tibet, it is illegal even to carry a photo of him, and the punishment for that may be imprisonment and torture, which is very sad.

    I'm an ex-Muslim Buddhist. I remember the statue of the Buddha in Afghanistan (in Persian "bot bamiyan"), before it was destroyed by the Taliban. It always had a mocking, philosophical smile as if the Buddha recalled some memorable moments of a previous life... it always intrigued me.

    A right way to deal with our inner emotion is to be mindful of thought , body , feeling and dhrama against provoking things , widely called " Foundation of Mindfulness ", the Satipatthana Sutta.
    The principle is connected with the need for a sense of being as the basis of all meditation practice.
    It is obvious that this practice in form of meditation actually leads to the consequential outcome , namely self-enlightenment.

    The Dalai Lama is a very good soul if you watch the other parts to this you can compare the difference in religions & he was the only one who didnt judge & was possitive. I myself believe in what you do on this earth is how you will be judged unlike other religions who believe no matter what they do, with prayer money & confessions all sins are obliterated & forgiven. Its way harder to be a buddhist than it is to be any other religion due to it holds one accountable for ones actions.

    Compassion is not something that can be owned. Compassion, as I understand it, is a universal aspect of the human condition and it's a real sadness that few are able to express it. It's not a question of your compassion or my compassion, it's not a commodity to be bartered with. Compassion and love go hand in hand, one cannot exist without the other. This understanding is a matter of good old fashioned common sense and one doesn't need to be clever to know it.

  • @Ahsan119Voyageur
    @Ahsan119Voyageur 17 років тому

    Though its bad example but describes deep understanding that: 'Ultimate Truth is like a highly intoxicating wine, first time it is really bitter, but after a few times, you cannot live without it'. Only religion which makes sense from every angle is to believe in One Absolute Lord, in Him space and time persist, and without Whose existence nothing can be imagined to exist, including 'nothing'. No 'matter' is separate from space and time, and the space and time themselves come out of Him.

    there is no room for hatred - especially if we consider ourselves Buddhist. Whatever we perceive, it's probably wrong, so better to focus on Dharma practice of love, compassion and forgiveness.
    May HH Dalai Lama be like the 5th Dalai Lama and decide to propitiate Dorje Shugden as he is an enlightened Being.

  • @wisdombeing
    @wisdombeing 15 років тому

    I agree with Kokoliam. We do not have to be rude to people who do not share our beliefs. That is the foundation for peace and harmony when we can respect each others different beliefs. We dont have to agree but we dont have to be nasty about it. The Dorje Shugden controversy is really what Buddhism should not be about. We should all be a good reflection of our Lama and our faith.

    Reality is simply loss of the ego.
    Destroy the ego by seeking its identity.
    Because the ego has no real existence,
    it will automatically vanish,
    and Reality will shine forth by itself in all its glory.
    This is the direct method.

    I just want to add that HHDL refers to Tibetan Buddhists as being sons of India, b/c Tibetan Buddhism is the "Sanskrit tradition" or Nalanda tradition. Nalanda was an ancient monastic university. Tibetan Buddhists study commentaries on Buddha's Teachings written by Indian Masters. For this reason, and being that Buddhism was born in India/Nepal, HHDL and other practicing Buddhists sometimes refer India as their Guru.

    I hope that you do not misinterpret the Buddhist view of "Heaven", it is not a permanent place of absolute joy as described in the Judeo-Christian texts. The Buddhist description of heaven is just a realm of existence where it is extremely comfortable and easy to thrive in. Also, it is stressed that when one is reborn in a heaven, it is important to use all your time to study and practice spirtuality. This way when you are reborn back on Earth, you can be of the greatest benefit to all beings

  • @Ahsan119Voyageur

    He is a beautiful and compassionate person. His story resembles of Christ. Christ never said he was God, but later on people made him, instead of following the scripture. I searched the whole Bible and never saw a single verse where Christ said so. At one place, Christ did say 'I and my father are One', but later said 'You, I, and Father One' (means All?) I am surprised that 40 million people consider HH Lama a god, but he himself said, Look into my weakening eyes, does God has weakening eyes!

    realize how small we all are, and realize how much humans do not know. everything, from our conception of time, or what religion is right or wrong, is an illusion, and is all relative. you need to look up at the stars and feel humility. you can be convinced as you want that something is true, but that doesn't mean you are right. bless you.

    Thankyou for correcting my silly mistake FL1Bo. Condemns is exactly what i meant. I am a Buddhist, and i would call Buddhism my religion. again i agree with you that Buddhism is a way of life but religion actually means a formalized expression of beliefs. It means more to me than a mere philosophy. People need to be made aware of the ones spreading negative propaganda as a person needs to be made aware of a hole in the ground to avoid falling into it.
