We care for the game, our officials, and the communities we serve. That spirit, equal parts passion and compassion, led us to found Official Finders in 2009. In the years since we've slowly but steadily built an organization that sources and trains officials that help struggling youth sports organizations. More than filling a job for a game, our mission is helping to create work with meaning.

If an umpire interferes with a catchers throw on a stolen base the ball is NOT immediately dead. It is a delayed dead ball, so if the throw DOES put the runner out there is no interference and the ball remains live. If the throw is unsuccessful, only then does the ball become dead and the runner is returned to the base at the time of the pitch.

regarding over-running 1st on a base-on-balls award, this was a 2018 NFHS rule change. before 2018, the "myth" was in fact true at least for NFHS

so in lIttle League I'm batting balls away from me with my pad as a home plate umpire because the catchers are still a little rough around the edges. So then a ball I batted away for safety is a live ball correct? Thank you for your videos.

These are not rules umpires get wrong. The casual fans are the one who don't know these rules.

So yes these are all common rule misconceptions. But your video title should be “Rules that parents and coaches get wrong”. I don’t know a single umpire that misinterprets any of these (youth umpires learning excluded but even they get it right the majority of the time). This is all common baseball knowledge I have many times had to explain some of these rules to coaches.
