    This important aspect of picado playing is very well explained here by a very competent teacher. It's always better if we understand on an intellectual level what the specific task is that we want our fingers to perform. Our brains are asking us what we want to do when faced with any complex task. To know the road map and how to get where we want to go increases the likelihood of success. What Vahagni is offering here is cognitive therapy for guitar players. The amount of very useful information in this very short video is a testament to his teaching skills.

      Oh, com’on. The only thing that helps you become faster is training, training training. Even a monkey after a month of exercise understands that he has to minimize the movements. 2 minutes of platitudes. Ask you why this video is free, and give yourself an answer.

      @@MassimoAngotzi Your comment is only partially correct. It's the mind and training that makes a better player. Training alone won't do it. Why do you suppose you or someone else gets to be a better player? It's because after you put the guitar down your brain takes what it's been exposed to in the practice session and works on solving the technical challenges. It's the mind along with practice that makes a better musician. Endless practice doesn't yield very much unless you mentally focus on specific things like hand and finger placement, etc..
      You said;
      "Even a monkey after a month of exercise understands that he has to minimize the movement."
      No he doesn't, You could show a monkey how to play the guitar by demonstration and he still wouldn't be able to play after a hundred years.
      The mind is primary in everything, including guitar playing.

    Yes, interesting but...in all the scale falsetas that play the notes are never evenly balanced across strings. Maybe 4 on 1st sting, 4 on 2nd but 2 on 3rd and so on. Also the rhythm of the compas does not usually fit comfortably into the playing of the scale left hand. So I wonder how to over come that difficulty.

    Thanks for posting these instructions.
    I wonder if there are any compositions (tab) that incorporate these or other picados. (Circus music?) Being a classical guitarist we prefer music in writing.:)
    Thanks.

      Nah it's not about power but rather speed. Speed generates the power, trying to put force into each note and tensing your muscles will slow you down and can end up injuring yourself. Everything must be as relaxed as possible.

    Interessante...
    Ma non basta imparere il tocco preparato...
    In ogni caso non è indispensabile usare il tocco appoggiato per mettere su un buon staccato se passi ad esempio alla chitarra elettrica il tocco appoggiato viene male
