The chopped straw mod gave you the first application of fertilizer when you incorporated it into the soil.
I think you're getting so much money from the logs, because you may have signed up to the DUP renewable heat incentive!

The fertilized sections are from the chopped straw when the field was cultivated. That adds a fertilizer stage to the soil.

Hey dagger just wanted to tell you I worked on a potato farm for a while here in New York. We did use weeders in the fields but they were more like chisel plows going between the hills.
First of all if you choose to fertilize once, it's not cheating because you just shoot yourself in the foot by not getting the yield you should.
But choosing the option in the menu to fertilize only once, doesn't mean that. It just means, that you revert back to the system, that was used in FS15. Meaning, you only need to fertilize once to get maximum yield.
They should add that those planes that spread out fertilizer so you don't need to kill the crops with your tractor.

Make sure you are on his server and not one of the copycat ones. If it's running I think Daggerwin is always on his server even if he's AFK.

It's amusing when you say it's cheating to turn the fertiliser down to 1, but you spent most of the episode selling firewood for the amount we'd usually get for a whole tree!!! :D
