I watched this a few times before converting my 2015 Grom's head light to an 8" Jeep LED light today. I used existing mini moto brackets instead of making my own, but your wiring explanations were spot on. These are hands down the best directions I've been able to find anywhere on the web for this conversion. Thank you so much!

Turned out very nice :D I like the side brackets you made. Because of my stock headlamp failing I converted it into custom 2x lamp 7'' from China and welded a truss like bracket. It looks awesome but the crappy wires are exposed without a cover yet. Making it in plastic is actually a great idea

Great video. Do you happen to know how you were able to get the integrated turn signals work? I wanted to see the wiring but it was hard to get a clear shot of it. I also tried to see headlight wiring on the amazon website but it seems to be ended.

Great video and great explanation. By tapping into the rear brake light harness can I do it without adding a switch like you did. Would the only difference be that as soon as I insert the key the headlight would turn on as well? I don’t mind that, I plan on running a led bar up front instead of my stock headlight. I already figured out how to wire it to the stock harness up front and hooked it up with a 6 pin connector, I have it hooked up to the highbeam. My only problem right now is that it is ac not dc. Susan I read somewhere who wired it like we are speaking about and they said that it only lasted temporarily and his battery eventually drained due to how he wired it. Did you encounter any problems like that?

Y'all make sure if you get this headlight that it has an h4 plug and THREE wires. Otherwise you don't get turn signals. I found this out the hard way.

Wish I could! With everything all wired up and assembled though, it'd be tough! My best suggestion is just to apply 12v of power to each wire coming from the light and observing what it lights up (kind of like I did in the video). Hope you get/got it sorted out!
Do these headlights have side holes on them to mount to the bracket or do you need to drill your own?
There are holes. No drilling required.
How do you wire the integrated turn signals, my headlight only had 2 wires , 1 for white and 1 that make both sides turn amber. You said yours had 3 , did I get something wrong?
In reviewing some extra footage I had, it does appear my headlight had 3 wires (in addition to the plug) - 1 for left signal, 1 for right signal, 1 for DRL. For reference: screencast.com/t/wt6treKGAJA.
However, Googling around, I found lots of images/instructions showing just 2 wires, with 1 labeled for turn signals (ex. www.hdforums.com/forum/attachments/new-rushmore-models/459642d1455337593-led-with-halo-wiring-troubles-screenshot_2016-02-12-22-15-38-1.png). How the 1 wire can distinguish between left and right signals, I'm not sure. Perhaps some motorcycles put out a different voltage via the same wire to distinguish?
is it possible to have the turn signals on the headlight and also the flush mount signals work at the same time?
matt toronto Should be possible - Instead of capping off the turn signal wires like I did, you’d want to tap them into your existing turn signal wires. In hindsight I’m trying to recall why I didn’t do that to have double signals. : )
