جب آپ دین میں داخل نہیں ہوئے ہوتے تو اپنے جذبات پر رہنا آپ کا حق ہے۔۔۔مگر جب آپ دین کو حق سمجھ کر داخل ہوتے ہیں تو اپنی مرضی، اپنے جذبات، اپنی خواہشیں سب کو دین کے تابع کرنا پڑتا ہے۔۔۔ اپنی مرضی ختم۔
My family is predominantly Brailvee, when I started looking into Islam. Initially ahle-hadeeth school thought really impressed me, but I was not 100% satisfied. In the end I came across Ghamidi sahib and then never looked back. I just felt as if I have got a master key and it opened all the doors for me. It is incumbent upon us not to follow our religion blindly. Our intellect is Allah's most precious gift, if you use it sincerely to seek guidance. Surely you will get it.

MashaAllah this series has raised Hamza in terms of respect. Please convey him my message as a fellow seeker of truth after traversing multiple strands...the best approach is to cross check preferred opinions with respectable ulama of other side as well. If he's in US, he should have detailed sessions with ppl like YQ and Hamza Yusuf...they are well grounded in classical Islamic scholarship yet free from biases and emotionalism which Hamza complained about. There are many opinions which take time to sink in and many details are discovered later and that is only possible by traveling across various schools of thought. May Allah grant him success of both worlds. Aameen

علمی اختلاف کے حق میں آپ کے خیالات جان کر بیحد خوشی ہوئی۔ میرا دل سے ماننا ہے کہ علمی باتوں میں اختلاف ہو ہی سکتا ہے اور اگر اختلاف واقعتاً علمی ہو، پیچھے کسی قسم کا تعصب، جذبات اور عقیدت کا عنصر نہ ہو، تو یہ ہمیشہ علم کو آگے بڑھانے اور سوچ میں کلیئریٹی لانے کا باعث بنتا ہے۔ اِس ویڈیو کے آخر میں حمزہ عباسی صاحب نے ایک بات کہی کہ "مرتے دم تک شکوک اپنے دل میں رکھیں"۔ مجھے اِس بات سے اختلاف ہے، میرے خیال کے مطابق جب آدمی حالتِ ایمان میں آ جاتا ہے، یعنی جب شعوری طور پر "اللہ" اور "آخرت" کو مان لیتا ہے، تو مذہب کے بنیادی مقدمے یعنی جوابدہی/احتساب کے بارے میں اُس کے تمام تر شکوک اور اعتراضات ختم ہو جاتے ہیں۔ اگر وہ عام آدمی نہیں، بلکہ اہل علم میں سے ہے، تو ہر نئی سائنسی ڈسکوری یا کوئی نئی آرکیولوجیکل دریافت کے بارے میں وہ ہمیشہ متجسس رہتا ہے، غور کرتا رہتا ہے کہ اِن میں کیا چیز قرآن کے مطابق ہے اور کیا نہیں، اور جب وہ کسی نئی دریافت کو قرآنِ مجید کے مطابق پاتا ہے، تو اُس کا یہ تجسس ہمیشہ اُس کے ایمان میں اضافے کا باعث بنتا ہے۔
مثال کے طور پر تاریخ دانوں نے ہمیشہ خیال کیا کہ چونکہ بنی اسرائیل کبھی مصر میں تھے ہی نہیں، لہٰذا حضرت موسیٰ کا خروج، جس کا ذکر بائیبل اور قرآنِ مجید میں ہے، صرف داستان ہے اور اِس سے نتیجہ نکالا کہ مذہب کا سارا مقدمہ ہی بے بنیاد ہے۔ مگر حال ہی میں ایک نیا شہر "ایوارس" کی دریافت ہوئی ہے، جو کہ سٹی آف ریمسس کے نیچے تھا۔ اِس پر تحقیق سے ثابت ہوا ہے کہ بنی اسرائیل واقعتاً مصر میں تھے ، مگر اُن کی ٹائم لائن ریمسس سے تین سو سال پہلےتھی۔ دلچسپی رکھنے والے دوستوں کے لیے لنک شیئر کر رہا ہوں۔

Worth watching. Ilm can be sought from anyone but at the same time one should open his / her eyes and use his / her resources to reach the facts and the best source is Quran. Everyone will have to answer his own deeds. So do not follow blindly. Research and reach a level which ur heart accepts.

You dont disagree with a person just for the sake of disagreement. If any scholar is saying something which makes sense then I dont go around say the opposite just for the sake of it. If you are not satisfied with a scholars remarks then do further research. Its not about following a certain personality. No doubt mr Ghamidi is levels above other scholars i have come across but if I disagree with him on any issue then it has to be based on merit and argument which i would have to provide and prove.

بہت خوبصورت۔ مجھ سے بھی اکثر یہ کہا جاتا ہے کہ کیا وجہ ہوتا ہے کہ آپ بس غامدی صاحب کے موقف کو ہی ٹھیک نہیں مجھتے ہے، اصل وجہ اصول میں متفق ہونا ہے۔ اگر اصولی بات واضح ہو تو ہر معملہ وہی سے گزر کر ہی آپ کو مطمئن کرسکتا ہے
ایک عام آدمی سے آپ یہ چاہے کہ وہ ان ساری کتابوں کو پڑھے pragmatic نہیں۔ زیادہ سے زیادہ آپ ریفرنسز کو cross check کرتے رہے وقتا فوقتا۔ اس سے زیادہ ممکن نہیں آپ کو کسی نہ کسی صورت میں پھر depend کرنا پڑتا ہے۔ لیکن یہ ایک فطری لگاؤ ہے جو پیدا ہوتا ہے ہر مکتب فکرُمیں کچھ میں یہ تقلید کی صورت اختیار کر جاتا ہے تو کوچھ لوگ اپنا محاسبہ کرتے رہتے ہے۔

I found my answers within hanafi school in Islam tbh despite not being a believer
Assalamu Alaikum. Jazakallah Khayr for bringing up such an open minded discussion. I would have really appreciate if Hamza could have expanded on his definition of Sunnah and Ahadees. He believes in Hadith Jibreel Alhamdulillah but why doesn't believe in the other ahadees? Surely Ghamdi doesn't seem to believe in all ahadees, for example when it came to the issue of the beard, he said it's not part of Islam without making any mentions of ahadees where the Prophet SAW orders in regard to it were mentioned. Main Sunni stream of Islam doesn't really make distinction between Sunnah and Ahadees, sunnah is not in ahadees and vice versa.

He follows the same definition of Sunnah and Hadith as Ghamidi school of thought. You need to read his book Meezan to understand their manhaj

I'm also the follower of Jawed Ahmad Ghamidi Sahib because his approach and clarity of thoughts also impressed me. But apart from all that, I have some objections too on some of his views but overall his opinions are accurate.

Agree...we must not blindly follow any one...though Dr. ISrar, Mr. Ghmidi, DR, ZAkir nayak, Humza yousuf, Prof Jafery and may more, are all great researchers and sincere in their workings and knowledge...and they have given a very blessed service to all us muslims...but still we may have differences and our own queries that needs to be resolved...again they are very big people..and we lazy and illiterate people ( as compared to their efforts and knowledge) have no basis to guestion their effort, value and greatness...they are all very big Massha-Allah and blessings to us muslims... but we must remain curious for our unresolved queries and try to find solution with our own research, and Allah will surely provide us answers...

But the main question was that what evidence ghamdi sahab have to reject mutawatir report because quran says that hadith ie prophet sayings are evidence and mutawatir hadiths comes under same criteria of quran...
So, how can you take one reject the other..??
Secondly, what evidence do ghamdi sahab have To reject which is ijma and which is proven from sahaba when quran makes clear that follow momineen ie ijma and follow sahaba...
You are stating the conclusion of Ahl e Hadith about Mutawatir which is not accepted by Deoband or Barelvis in the same way.
What is Mutawatir ?
This itself a huge area of dispute among scholars, both traditionalists and modernists

Bro there is no dispute between deoband and barelwi because they are hanafi and hanfi fiqh holds mutawatir as a necessary source of deen... 4 madhabs are on this same opinion about mutawatir..
Read Anwar Shah kashmiri book named named ikfaar ul mulhideen.. He have said that mutawatir hadith is a necessity by quoting references of ijma ie ahlus sunnah scholers throughout generations and quran & sunnah..
Secondly, mutawatir is the hadith which is mass transmission ie numbers of people who narrated this hadith are in such high amount that it is impossible for them to gather upon lying or forgery....
I will talk in detail about this and will mention the existing difference between ulema about the definition of Mutawatir
