I have never kept crotons! But I know that the begonias I can easily keep alive year round are cane-like ones. I really struggle with the tuberous ones even inside 🌱
@@FlorenceOzkan I had a wax leaf begonia for a while now that hasn’t been it’s absolute best and has kind of remained on the struggle bus since I got it lol..then I moved recently and left my plants outside after being exhausted and good ol’ Texas weather said “hold my beer 🍺!” and it froze in Texas that night 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️😫😫😫 it went from struggle bus to “have mercy and put me out of my misery please 🥺😢” 😳😬🤦🏽♀️😂
@@FlorenceOzkan I’m not even sure 😭 I had placed all my plants on the back deck so they wouldn’t get trampled, broken, or destroyed from furniture, boxes 📦 and even people that were being brought indoors and once everything was moved in I just passed out! If you know anything about Texas, it is that Texas can literally have all 4 seasons in a 24 hr period 💯😂😫🤦🏽♀️. I’m trying to salvage and rehab a bunch of my plants at the moment, some even a decade or so old that are my more hardy plants 🪴 were damaged so I’m not too optimistic about the ones I was already struggling to keep alive under normal conditions 😔 this will be a true planty test for sure 🤞🏾🙇🏽♀️🙏🏾
@@FlorenceOzkan your melanochrysum looks like maybe you can air layer the nodes and give it a chop here and there to propagate it multiple times and make it full and beautiful 🤷🏽♀️🤞🏾
Just a thought - why not tile the inside? It would both level out and hide the screws coming through, plus make it super easy to clean. Love the cabinet though! Great work! And perfect for a darker corner. How often do you have the fan running & lights on?
I thought about lining it with vinyl but I think I’ll just see how it goes the more plants I put in- I hadn’t thought about tiling it. Thank you! I have the fan running a day or two at a time until it auto shuts off and it depends when I realise 😂 the light inside the cabinet I haven’t sorted yet, but the grow lights outside I put on an hour before sundown and for 8 hours or so, maybe more on a dark day 🌱
I also ordered a melano Black Gold from Eden MCR and it was so badly packaged, had root rot and died so quickly . Wasn't impressed at all. This was 2019 though and I wasn't as aware of asking for replacements as I am now.
What are some plants you struggle with?

Begonias and Crotons hate me for some reason 😳🤷🏽♀️😂

Love the cabinet, well done with the convert! plants are thriving
Thank you! They’re all really happy- I’ve converted the two philodendron props on the bottom shelf into pon so I’ll do an update on that soon 😊
That is the cutest little tabletop greenhouse! I turned a curio cabinet into a greenhouse this fall and my babies inside are *so happy*!
Thank you! Oooh glad to hear they’re doing well! Do you have a fan or humidifier in there or are the plants doing ok without?
I’m curious as well 😯🤩
@@vkklynn88 They're doing well without a humidifier - I mist them once a week, in addition to watering day and they seem very happy! 💚
@@FlorenceOzkan I think my latest houseplant tour shows the cabinet - its a tall skinny, white one, probably 7 ft!
I’ll have a look!
Your queen is beautiful. I really want to add the warocq in my collection.
Thank you! Definitely get one- they’re amazing! But make sure you have the right conditions to avoid the stress I put myself through with a queen 😂
Your Queen made a comeback 🤩
Yes! It’s doing so well! Lots of new growth points and aerial roots shooting out! 👑

I’m a bit too scared of it yet but maybe next year when I’ve had it a while 😂
@@FlorenceOzkan I can totally relate!! Maybe once spring rolls around and you feel it’s on its best leg you can give it a go. I’m rooting for you 🙌🏾
I order my plants from East Hill Glass House. Always happy
That is awesome!

Ah that’s such a shame... I don’t know if they’ve improved by now but can only say from my experience
