My favourite cards from 151 is Charmander IR, cause I love how it tells a story together with Charmeleon IR and Charizard SIR. Charmander is a bit scared, a bit worried, looking up at Charmeleon on the top rock edge, maybe he is scarred of heights and flying, but then he evolves and as Charizard confidently soars through the sky rising up. I imagine its the same little Charmander in the first card, just now he is evolved and confident. Love that.
Underwater blastoise by far, it is the single best underwater card they've made yet.
Thats by far the most ugly card of that set

That Venusaur SIR is insane. So many layers of color and foil.

My favorite Pokémon gets my vote for a favorite 151 card. The Zapdos SIR. I still wish it was just him, he does share the card art, But imagine a card of him perched on a rock wings spread out screaming with lightning bolts coming out. Having that with the color and the texture? 🤤
I was kicking myself for not buying a Japanese 151 on Black Friday for 160 bucks from my LCS. Cuz they were hitting $200. But hopefully I can find something soon where it's around $100.

@@G_Venture I actually just picked up the reverse holo Zapdos from legendary collection at a card show this morning. I collect him, have 30 different cards or so
And people doubted me that this wouldn't be reprinted....I think the pokemon company understands that they make more money printing as many cards as they feasibly can than doing small runs, especially with demand for certain sets being very high
Plus they know whatever they decide to reprint, they know it will be bought up
Idk why people thought that. Pokemon said on release the Japanese 151 will be printed to demand.
It’s been known to be a reprint. And printed for demanded. This set isn’t falling off it’s just these tards who wanna control the market
It was print to demand. I bought a box months ago for retail. You just couldn't order more than one box.
Blastoise EX SIR! I have 4 daughters who are into Pokémon and when my 4 yr old pulled that card she freaked out and started cheering. It took me back. Huge nostalgic moment.
In my opinion i think gengar should have gotten a sir in this set or at least a full are😢😢

Loved the opening and pulls! I'm glad they printed more so people can have access to these more readily and the scalpers lose! My favorite 151 card is definitely the sleepy Bulbasaur illustration rare because it's just a nice, cozy art with beautiful colors!
Charizard full art is great because it shows so much of the pokemon!
Kabutops holo. Having him come out of the water looks so cool. It kind of hints back to his neo-discovery card, but as in a fighting-type Pokemon.
There are so many good arts in 151! Before it came out I said Poliwhirl or Zapdos. I might have to say now that my favorite is the Blastoise SIR though. I pulled 3 of this thing. One is in my binder, traded one to a friend, and then I got one graded. First card I've ever had graded and it came back a 10, so I was really happy about that.
The zapdos SAR it’s just insanely pretty, the foil texture is amazing, all 3 legendary birds soaring high just can’t be beat!
It’s wild that these have droppped as low as $75 online. Didn’t expect it to drop that far. But it makes the master ball chase so much more fun now
My favorite from 151 might actually be the art on the Scyther or the Kabutops, feel they both are really nice artworks that match perfect with each of them.
Fav 151 card is probably the Zapdos EX SAR with the trio flying through the clouds. It's such a beautiful artwork. I really love the Charmander AR as well.
That Bulbasaur art rare is definitely my fave from 151, that art just looks so peaceful and serene napping in the garden
The articuno master ball reverse is my favorite card from 151! It’s been my favorite Pokémon since I was a kid and watched the Pokémon movie 2000
The gold mew is my fav card. It was the first pull we got w my son. I hadn't been in the hobby for over 15yrs. My son wanted some Pokemon cards and that was our first hit. So that mew will always have sentimental value. Now we are deep into the hobby w the whole fam

secret illustration Blastoise is my favorite. Got back into collecting a month ago and finding SV151 that's not sky high has been rough
I feel like the starter trio alt arts amazing. I think squirtle is my favorite. I like how it starts out on the beach and the final evolution blastoise is deep in the ocean. I honestly love all the cards. Wish the had more alt arts for each Pokemon. Wish they did something for poliwrath, onix, Arcanine and gengar
Wartortle 171/165, there is just something in that angle, lighting and the underwater scenery that really hits the spot.
The Zapdos illustration rare is the most underrated card in the English set. The Japanese set has the Master Ball Gastly, Haunter, and Gengar which I NEED!

Fave card from 151 is the big Charizard SIR, not just because it's the most valuable but because it was actually the first SIR i pulled from my first ETB. Still remember the crazy feeling
Bulbasaur IR - when the light hits the holo across all that greenery, just looks amazing!
Many of the regular reverses, and even mundane Master Balls, go for much more than certain SRs
That master ball Daisy is like a $10~$15 card raw at ebay's current sold listings. Not bad at all.
Fave 151 card, eh? This is rough, man... I think I'll stick with what I thought was awesome since the set was announced: the Venusaur SAR. The colors, the texturing, the fact that they did our flower frog boi some justice with a beautiful card are just some of the reasons that's my top card.
Favorite card is the IR Squirtle. Like the way the water looks with him right by the water.
So hard to choose between the SARs in this set, artwork is all so beautiful. Venusaur has been sneaking up on me though, the colors and texture are wild!
My favorite card is the SIRs of the charmander evo line because one it was my very first favorite pokemon and it's the almighty powerful starter. The first ever starter I chose. I like how in the evo line it shows you that as charmander grows and evolves it's able to climb higher and higher up the mountain until it can fly over the mountains it grew up in.
For the common ones I would say Ditto is my favorite, for the alts Psyduck, it's a really chill illustration.
My favorite is the Alakazam SIR! Moving the spoons around in that room was so well done! That’s the card that brought me back into collecting!
Bulbasaur illustration is by far my favorite card in 151, probably even my favorite modern card. I have a weak spot for sleeping pokemon in card art, bulbasaur is my favorite pokemon and i love illustration cards, so its an insane combo

I really love the Poliwhirl SIR… it’s so beautifully drawn and with the holo effect and the scene in the rain it just makes it such a unique card.

Really enjoy the mew special art. The one that came with the premium collection. Reminds me of a side scroller game from back in the day. The Nirvana Wartortle and Pikachu in the market place would be close seconds. My son and I enjoy opening packs and sleeving the "strong" ones, as he would call them lol.
Im trying to finish the Japanese 151 masterset and man when the announcement of the reprint hit, it kinda hurt how much I spent on the boxes but at least I can buy singles at a cheaper price 😅
My favourite card in the set is absolutely the Zapdos EX #202 with the Alakazam EX # 201 not too far behind!

Man, Japanese cards are so fun to open! I have family in Japan, and when Pokemon first came out they would send me booster boxes of cards and I remember them being very sparkly and shiny. As for 151, I was fortunate to pull the 'Zard and Alakazam SIRs in my ETB! I love this particular Charizard out of S/V because it shows a cool story throughout the evolution line - not to mention it doesn't have those odd "tera types" on their heads lol.
Fav card from 151 is 110% the dragonair art rare, they did so well with the colors and the dragonair looks beautiful

My favorite Pokemon 151 card is the Snorlax. Not only is it nice to see the relaxing under a tree but it was the first pack master ball I got out of a pack from my local card store when it 151 came out.
I have a feeling the prices will go back within a shorter period of time than you would think for 151 (at least the Japanese products)
Luv 151 Blastoise. However it could used some more fish Pokemon in the background swimming.
The nicest card to me is the Dragonair AR , because it is so elegantly illustrated, it kicks ass 😂Coincidentally I just placed a preorder for 3 boxes with someone in my local online marketplace in Singapore, 1 box for S$91 (US$66). I already completed the majority of the master set minus the master balls but still love to crack open these. When the reprint actually kicks in, will see if can get more.
I think I gotta go with the Dragonair IR since it's the best dragon type card in the set. Dragonite was always my most important goal in red and blue so I would get it as soon as possible.

The charmander evolution line full arts or whatever the rarity is. Brings me back to the early days when ash had his charizard stay on the island. Man, those were great episodes. Charizard didn't give up.
My favorite 151 card is the Venusaur alt art because of the floral scene. Close 2nd is the Nirvana Nevermind Wartortle!
The Mewtwo Masterball reverse holo is definitely the coolest and most nostalgic card for me. Saved my Masterball in Fire Red just for Mewtwo
151 is by far my favorite set from this current generation. I can’t stand the other sets. This set hits with so many amazing card artworks. It’s back to the basics too, being the original 151.

The charmander illustration rare has to be my favorite art. He is my favorite pokemon and he is adorable pondering life in the canyon.
Would like to pull the Gengar master ball, bought some boxes for $68 per today, hopefully they go back up after the reprint release.
Favorite 151 card is Machoke Illustration Rare - the way they are moving out is funny art work!

I'd have to say the Charizard SIR as my son pulled it from the first etb I got, and it was his first pack he opened from the set.. the full art Charizard is a cool looking card as well, and I'm still trying to pull it from the English version..

My fave is squirtle special illustration rare. I just love the art work of it just being lazy on beach is just so cute. 151 also made my parents love pokemon as well so set means a lot to me.

The OG's Bulbasaur, Squirtle and Charmander! I remember playing my first Pokemon game. It was on Gameboy Color Pokemon Red. I remember the 3 starter Pokemon that you need to choose from.

My favorite card from 151 is the mew ex card simply because it brings me right back to my childhood seeing mew in the first movie and hoping to one day get a full collection of all the possible mew cards.
It's gotta be Snorlax. When my son was young, he heard me snore and that has been my sprint animal/pokemon!!

I pulled the Pikachu AR and the Arboc SR from Japanese, so I'd say those are my favorites right now. Have 3 more boxes to open, plus over 100 packs of English (I'm a bit behind!!!), so favorites may change. Thanks for the chance at your pulls Sean...you're the best.
