Hi Doug........guys!! Had my first treatment of chemotherapy, all went very well, a few weird side effects, like hiccups , they come from the accompanying steroid treatment which fights the chemo stuff, anyway, its all settling down nicely, im feeling good at the moment, hope youre all well, run good everyone and suck out the big ones!!!hahaha, regards FRASER!!!
@@dougmccuskerpoker So much for than I ever expected, the Health service is excellent here, even though its Staterun and underfunded, standard, still, touch wood, all good, best wishes, Fraser!!
Just another great result. When you run good you win, when you get a run of bad cards you win anyway. Adapting to the way things are going as usual. Using your image and opening up your range is something I need to do too. I look like an OMC, so I already have an image, I just need to be a bit gutsy to take advantage of it. Thanks again for the lesson
One of the things someone said to me about opening up my game was. You shouldn’t be scared to play faster because your opponents would be terrified if you did!!
Thanks again Mr. McCusker....another informative vlog...it's tough waiting on cards...patience may be a virtue, but in poker, it's tough...glad you won...Goodluck next week...hope your friend getting chemo is doing well....
Zues is on point with the 3 way to river AA's hand. Interesting to give thought about side pot, hit n run, and exodus. Sun Tzu - know your opponent. Good fold to keep fish(×2) $ around in hopes of getting a chunk in later hands.
Not sure I'm following your logic for the $175 turn bet on the hand with 45 of spades. Are you specially trying to get TX with the X of hearts to fold? What about keeping on all the other TX combos that are drawing dead?
He wanted to target me and get on the vlog. I wanted him to pay a high price for it. He tanked for several minutes, so I think my sizing wasn’t far off from a calling amount.
First hand you have to reason villain is calling raise and cbet with nut flush draw giving you only 3 outs to hit full house on river. You gotta let that one go. The J♧8♧ hand, you gotta charge the K♧ on turn instead of giving him a free card. If he doesn't have a ♧, you still gotta bet to get valuefrom his 2 pairs and sets. No more value if another ♧ hits river and he has none. I'm sure you already thought of all this! Nice comeback. After having 6 sets flopped on me when I had top pair, over pair, and trips in summer poker league busting out in 2 hours and 15 minutes, I drove to Ameristar in Vicksburg afterwards in frustration. Bought in for $380 and left with $1,640. Glad my run bad is over. Hope it continues!
@@scotttavernier720 There’s no way to know when someone is going to get up and leave. There’s no decision to be made on your part. You are living in LaLa Land
My decision was that I would rather the bluffer have the chips and continue to play than the other player. For my stack it made no difference. IMO, the game would be better is the losing player had more chips.
Cheers from Austin and The Lodge (I live in Portland, Ore. - just here for the Mega Monster tourney). Just wondering if you'll be making a triumphant return here to maybe play a stream again sometime this year?
Similar to you, one of my 2024 poker goals was 3 bet more in position. Similar to you, I'm not doing well at achieving this. But now I'm thinking the problem is this was a poor goal to choose. I still will rarely 3 bet w/marginal holdings (marginal 3 bet holdings) but wonder if this is overrated, especially at the lower stakes. Your thoughts? Also if it was year end right now would you now include it in your Poker Goals for 2025? Thanks
It’s a tough goal for sure. Not only do you have to pick the right time, but also the right opponents to raise lighter. 3 betting the wrong player is getting close to just punting.
I made a lot of money playing limit poker. Played 20-40 and 40-80 everyday for 10 years. Once no limit arrived, the better players had bigger edges. I now prefer no limit, but any game is beatable with the proper strategy.

Nice move stealing the pot with QT on the JJ6 board. You read the opponent correctly and picked a good spot to snag a pot OOP. Well done!
I had a solid read, stealing a few small pots add up nicely at the end of the day.
Great vlog, Doug! I look forward to every vlog! Yo Zeus!!!
Appreciate it!!
The run good comes and goes. Way to at least bink the nutter butter on the last hand. Nice vlog Doug!

I like the clock showing play time and the plus minus. Both really affect how I play, sadly.
We are all human, we get tired, lose focus, and may play differently depending on stack and how stuck we are.
Yea I play 4 -5 hr sessions max idk how successful and disciplined I’d be if I lived far from a card room…I agree Andrew

J8 of clubs hand should’ve re raised on the flop, pair flush draws, tons of outs.. build pot there
I did consider it, I had a ton of equity and might have been able to make him fold a better hand.

Great comment from Zeus, again.

I’m not sure why you worry about a hit and run. If someone wins big and leaves, it’s their money. They don’t owe anybody to stay.
It affects the decision process though. If it doesn’t affect yours then you are the fish

The dealers need retraining. Too many mistakes handling the chips.
Overall the dealers are good, I’m sure they make errors just like the rest of us.
Definite fold on turn with those aces. You knew you were beat but called:(
I should fold indeed, I over eastimated the bluffers stack and underestimated the callers.
The hand with the guy with A, 6. What was the other guy’s hand? Was it pocket tens?
88
88, sorry for not making that clear.

Hope your hands do better than the bitcoin you recommended.
