Even when the poor girl is begging for her life, she gets shot. Hell, Josh (though unintentionally) did much more damage by assaulting Chris and Ashley twice, then Sam, and people coddle him. Ulimately, some players overlook the fact that she's one of the strongest survivors next to Sam and Mike because of her bitchiness and her competency goes unlooked. I didn't like Emily at first, but her segment in the mines really impressed me to the point when I started rooting for her.
MSP22 I don't think she's a strong survivor because of her bitchiness but really her intelligence and how she's resourceful. She really knew how to use her environment when surviving (Like when she made a torch and a quick fire to try and stop the flamethrower guy). Also I 100% agree with u on how Emily didn't deserve all the killing :,-(
And Mike still loves Emily if you shoot her then Mike will say at the police interview He shoot her because he didn’t want her to turn into one and he was sad at the interview

The reason people don't like Emily is because nobody gave her a chance and saw her side; 1, Matt agree to take her bags to the lodge without question - shes thankful and happy that he trusts her because trust is obviously something very important to her. OR - you disagree and she gets annoyed that Matt doesn't trust her. 2, You get Matt to side with Emily when shes arguing with Jess - she trusts Matt and shes thankful. OR you side with Jessica and Emily gets bitter about it. 3, You disagree to go to the tower and when everything goes to shit she realizes she should have listened to Matt - shes sorry even though she doesn't say it. OR you agree and everything just goes downhill. 4, You try to save her twice - shes thankful you tried AND *she's ultimately worried about Matt because you were continuously on her side throughout the game*. OR you jump off without trying to save her - the clincher for Emilys hatred towards Matt after he seemed to prove he didn't care about her (from Emilys point of view) however regardless of any of that, if Matt dies after he kills a deer and gets forced off the edge shes sad about his death.
Hmm I like Em, but the first one I feel differently about from what I interpreted and using the visual rhetoric given. Emily literally lies to Matt about going to catch up with Sam, but really she's going to go talk to Mike. That's really shady and really disrespectful to straight up lie to her current boyfriend like that. So it's more so she doesn't trust Matt, if she could not even tell him she wanted to catch up with Mike. I understand Mike is her ex boyfriend and she probably didn't want to get Matt upset, but lying isn't the way to go either.

If you, as Ashley, allowed Matt to see Mike and Emily together, then you as Matt must choose to fight Mike inside the lodge, or if the fight doesn't happen, then as Matt, you have to be aggressive to Jessica both times when Jessica and Emily argue. Trying to save her in the tower also strengthens that, but it also puts Mat in danger of dying, but if you know how to save him, then go for it. If not, you can have Matt jump to safety, and if their relationship was very high by then, then Emily will likely still speak about Matt in a good way in the end.

She was that one character in every slasher flick who's such an asshole in so many different ways that you can't wait for him/her to get killed, and definitely will never be Final Girl material.

I really thought that by being the sole survivor, she would at least have an extra interview bit mentioning wendigos or there's-something-in-the-mines.

How to keep matt alive in the tower: When you get the flare gun you give it to matt which will give you a butterfly effect. Then when emily is crying fro help keep saving her. And then when the wendigo is grabbing you to the spikey thing he will have a vision of emily giving the flare to matt and then he will get the flare out his pocket and you have to aim at that circle before the time is up and the wendigo will die and Matt is saved!!! 😀😀😀
Just nitpicking at the realism a bit. In reality wouldn't it take longer for there to be enough gas in the room to set off that big of a flame? I could be wrong, just curious.

Shes my fave character of the whole roster. Idk she feels real and tbh having to reunite with the gang a year after the loss of the washington twins caused by a shitty ass prank your gang did at the same place you did it would probably make me a whiny fucker too. And she realises how shes acting and comments on it in several ocasions. Alot of people dislike her comments about the expensive jacket but tbh I feel she was trying to focus on the more trivial to not have a complete breakdown or freakout and be screaming all the time. Idk. I like all the gang, but she is the one I like the best for some reason. I get people not liking her though. Just personally I really like her. I think she does pretty well under pressure all things considered. Also side note, sole survivor endings make me sad as hell. No matter who it is. Internally sobbing right here.
I played until dawn for a load of people and i made sure to get this ending, I made sure to choose all the bitchiest options as well. Emily being the lone survivor is the only true ending!
Wait that...doesn't make sense. The Wendigo snapped Mike's neck and then threw him off, hitting his spine on the pole. It even says that's his death at the credits but then next scene he's just fine?

There was something different about Ashley's death in this death montage. The Wendigo just broke out on its own instead of Ashley opening the hatch. How does this happen?

That's kinda weird. If Sam lives, she tells the police about the wendigos. If she dies, Mike does. If he's dead too, Jess will, and so on. But Emily didn't tell the police about them here.

Am I the only one who actually loves Emily? She's my favorite by far
She vaguely reminds me of my algebra 2/trig teacher in high school. With that in mind I don't know how I managed to let her survive this game.
My top Female Characters:
Emily - Because she reminds me of me. I'm a blunt bitch
Sam - She's nice.
Jess - She might be a bitch like Em but she's cool sometimes.
Ashely - The SHADEST BITCH EVER.

Emily to me is in the top for characters with Mike,Sam,and Josh to me they are the most memorable( I also really like Chris)

The developers stated that she actually didnt sleep with Mike while dating Matt, she was just saying that so matt would stop talking about it.(side note: literally the worst time to bring that up in the history of everything tbh)

When Ashley is reading the book and you conceal and say nothing to Emily, Sam will know She's lying and her Relationship with Ashley will harshly fell, Almost at Zero.... Trust me, If i were Sam i would never trust her.

If we're going by standard horror movie rules, Emily should be anything but the sole survivor here (if Until Dawn were a movie instead of a game where you can make an impact on the outcome, I mean). She was that one character in every slasher flick who's such an asshole in so many different ways that you can't wait for him/her to get killed, and definitely will never be Final Girl material.
Kill a character because you didn't like her, lmao) After all, a gun is pointed at her every day, especially an ex-boyfriend) She had every right to say this to the cops) All "Until Dawn" girls are suitable for the solo survivor. About the guys, I would only say so about Mike.

In this ending Emily gets two interview segments. But if you play the game such that Emily never gets bitten and therefore doesn't talk about guns pointing at her face, does that mean she would only get ONE segment for the ending? I really thought that by being the sole survivor, she would at least have an extra interview bit mentioning wendigos or there's-something-in-the-mines.

How to keep matt alive in the tower: When you get the flare gun you give it to matt which will give you a butterfly effect. Then when emily is crying fro help keep saving her. And then when the wendigo is grabbing you to the spikey thing he will have a vision of emily giving the flare to matt and then he will get the flare out his pocket and you have to aim at that circle before the time is up and the wendigo will die and Matt is saved!!! 😀😀😀
Just nitpicking at the realism a bit. In reality wouldn't it take longer for there to be enough gas in the room to set off that big of a flame? I could be wrong, just curious.

Shes my fave character of the whole roster. Idk she feels real and tbh having to reunite with the gang a year after the loss of the washington twins caused by a shitty ass prank your gang did at the same place you did it would probably make me a whiny fucker too. And she realises how shes acting and comments on it in several ocasions. Alot of people dislike her comments about the expensive jacket but tbh I feel she was trying to focus on the more trivial to not have a complete breakdown or freakout and be screaming all the time. Idk. I like all the gang, but she is the one I like the best for some reason. I get people not liking her though. Just personally I really like her. I think she does pretty well under pressure all things considered. Also side note, sole survivor endings make me sad as hell. No matter who it is. Internally sobbing right here.

There was something different about Ashley's death in this death montage. The Wendigo just broke out on its own instead of Ashley opening the hatch. How does this happen?
If you only unlock the hatch and walk away, it will jump out and kill Ashley.

Shinguuji Korekiyo He did unlock the lock from the hatch but he didin't open the hatch. Then the Wendigo will jump and kill her.
I like Emily but if you question her about Mike at the fire tower she will admit and say she was confused and fucked him, then you have the option to save her or jump to safety but no one goes for that option, if they did I'm sure more people would jump to safety

That's kinda weird. If Sam lives, she tells the police about the wendigos. If she dies, Mike does. If he's dead too, Jess will, and so on. But Emily didn't tell the police about them here.
Nataliah Drake Because you have to find Beth's head in order for her to tell them, then they ask about Josh and she tells them he's in the mines. If you don't find Beth's head she doesn't say it.
