John 3:3: "Jesus said to Nicodemus, 'Unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.'"
John 3:5: "Jesus answered, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.'"
Genesis 1:1-2: "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters."
Genesis 8: Noah goes through the water and there's a dove over top which represents water and spirit
1 Peter 3:18-21: "For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit. After being made alive, he went and made proclamation to the imprisoned spirits- to those who were disobedient long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water, and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also-not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ"
Matthew 3:16: "And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove"
Exodus 14: God delivers his people in Egypt by the Passover lamb and then he takes them through the Red Sea. They go through the water over top of them leading the way is a pillar of fire by night and a pillar of cloud by day. The Holy Spirit of God over the water
Ezekiel 36:25: "I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you."
Titus 3:5: "He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit."
Acts 2:38: "And Peter said to them, 'Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.'"
Acts 22:16: "And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name."

St Paul does Not Contradict Our Lord.
Christians need to understand that you Can Not start a religion with just One Bible Verse!
Part of what Faith means is Obedience. And if you want to be a Christian and follower of Christ you must Obey the WHOLE BIBLE not just One or Two verses here and there!

If it seems that one Bible verse contradicts another Bible verse then it must be your interpretation that is wrong not the Bible!

I love this. As Catholics, you earn your way to God's favor and heaven thru good works. Jesus didn't have to come to earth to die. Therefore, this Jesus fella wasted his life. Totally meaningless sacrifice.

Many Catholics continuously bring up Matthew 7:23; where Christ says not all will enter the Heavens & many will claim to have done impressive deeds in His name & He will say be gone for I never knew you.
--They can't lie to Him about having done the good deeds & they know that(lets assume they did them), but they can lie about their intentions for doing a lifetime of great works(trying to "earn" their entry). They were not faithful followers of Christ, although they lived as if they were extremely pious.
--Christians are followers of Christ, who aspire to live as Christ has taught us to, right? To build a personal relationship, humble, caring, repentant....
--Well, Christ came to SHOW US THE WAY, he died to pay for OUR sins, but Christ did ask more of us. He was leading by example, so how did Christ live?
--We know we're saved by grace, so why wouldn't we act in accordance with our faith & be charitable/doing good deeds?!!
--Plenty of ppl claim to be Christians, they may pray & attend Church every Sunday, but how do they behave the rest of the time(what's in their heart)?!!

Catholicism is not a denomination. It's the common denominator. When we say Church, we are speaking of Catholicism, not a bunch of 16th century traditions of men.
Right. Catholics created the bible and determined books at council of Rome. Protestants show up 1200 years later, take scissors to it, and claim it's theirs.

We are saved by accepting Gods truth that Jesus is Lord and Savior who died for us on the cross. Born of water is childbirth as There was no water baptism yet when this was said so no one would have understood it as baptism in water. There would have been no reference but to be born in water is to be in the womb. Baptism in the Holy Spirit is born again by spirit. This means being emersed in it and anointed. This means accepting Jesus with Love in our hearts that we be truly repentant of our sins and be washed clean. This man made a film and on promoting it was attacked by Demons. Teaching unbiblical Catholic doctrine is deadly. When you are born again you will know it. There is no more fear or shame or upset with others. No getting annoyed with others. Only through worshiping God in the way of the fist commandment can we walk in the spirit. Read Matthew 22 34 to 40.
How was there no baptism by water, when Jesus was baptized in water?
If you are to be saved just saying I believe, I believe is not enough, you must follow Jesus commandments. Steve just gave excellent proof yet if you choose not to believe it's on you.

I’m still confused about his stance on baptism. Every time he says baptized is he referring to being baptized by the holy spirit or by literal water? Because it’s very clear in scripture that the Holy Spirit is synonymous with water & not referring to this wet stuff we have on earth. In fact the last example he gives in Acts 22:16 says to be baptized & wash away your sins BY CALLING ON THE NAME OF THE LORD. So we aren’t talking at all about water here. Don’t you find it odd he leaves out that very last part? Sounds like he has an agenda. “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13) doesn’t fit the Catholic narrative.

When we get baptized, we are professing faith in the Lord, that is, calling on the Lord.

We are calling on the name of the Lord at Baptism, so it's not either /or. . . It's both/ and.
Yes!!!!!! I was born again at age 25, when I was saved, became a true Christian & was indwelled with the Holy Spirit.

Good exposition. This is precisely what I believe as an orthodox Lutheran Christian.
The problem with this interpretation is that Ezekiel states that God will do the sprinkling...God will give the new heart (water) and the new spirit (His Spirit).
Does God not work through the person who is baptizing another? Through the water the person is immersed in or is poured over them? Is His Spirit not over all of that and working through it?
Ez 36:25-28 I will sprinkle a clean water (WATER) on you and you shall be clean.... And I will give you a new heart and a new spirit.... And I will put my Spirit (SPIRIT) within you and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.
Romans 10:9 KJV - That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Acts 2:21 KJV - And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Mark 16:16 KJV - He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
You are to believe in your heart. That’s how you are saved. Romans 10:9 If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Catholics baptize babies which is also not heard of in the Bible. One would think that if we are supposed to baptize babies, we would have read about it in the Bible.
Whole households were baptized in the acts of the apostles
