Nope, I don't usually mumble either in my language or in English 'cause I've got a clearest pronunciation! Thanks a lot for your good lesson, dear teacher Vanessa! You rock!💜💜💜
You're very helpful, Vanessa. I'm someone who always doesn't speak up and afraid that my ideas get rejected or not be heard. From now on, I'll practice to speak up for myself. Thank you! ♥️
I used to make five mistakes you just mentioned. As I listen more and constantly repeat what native speakers said, now it's better. Practice makes perfect. But English learners need to take accurate approach. Listen and repeat! Thanks for your video.
i couldn't find the right words to explain how useful your videos since i randomly discovered them , , thank you soo much Vanessa , it is really nice to see someone trying to help people like you
Hi Vanessa! Thank you so much for your new video. I've been listening to you everyday to perfect my pronunciation since November. I've been practicing American English by myself everyday for seventeen years and almost for the sake of it. It' s my second passion after my long life one for railroad. I really like your videos that are so lively and cheerful and stick to the everyday life in the US way far from most French people can know through TV shows and series. Like you I don't watch TV since I don't have a TV set. Have you and Dan a good weekend.
Thanks for sharing useful tips for English learners, Vanessa! I think the most mistake I've ever made is mumbling. The solution you gave to us is what I've tried to overcome it, and it works. Building confidence to speak English in front of native speaker is not easy especially for people from Asia. Thanks for your class and I would share it to my colleagues.
Vanessa your lessons are really helpful Since I discovered you my English incredibly improved Your videos have a positive energy that I can watch them for hours Thanks!❤
I love lestening while ur speaking !!! Your accent is absolutely sound clear , I don't even need to active CC .. I can get your words and understand the whole meaning ... Thank you !
Thank you teacher Vanessa. I made mistakes all the time "Not speaking up". In my class, I'm so shy and didn't dare to talk in front of people so I stayed sliently and quitely.😅 After learning from you now I know, I need to talk confidently and never do those mistakes again.
@@Obanaisan_17 speak up means to speak a little louder. If u want someone to speak louder then u can ask him to speak up. I think the word speak is very well known to you. Bye
Thank you Venessa for beautiful advises! I am the person who ususally speak very quitely due to lack of speaking confidence. And also very uncomfortable to share my ideas with others. But hope, I will overcome the difficulty soon!
Hi, Vanessa! I appreciate so much your video lessons, especially this one. I think your tips and teachings are very useful for both, natives and non-native English speaking people. In my case, I sometimes use filler words, though I agree with you that it is more convenient to use some silence before continue speaking. This allows us to think much better what we are going to say and arrange our ideas.
Thanks a lot for your videos Vanessa and your helpful tips for better speaking English, I am fully bilingual (English/Spanish) but your videos help me to sound like a real native speaker and I like that. Thank you again!
You read my mind when you mentioned about the speaking up topic, this is something i struggle a lot when i'm talking with someone in English, i'm always eitheir afraid of expressing my idea or thinking mine doens't make quite sense in comparison with the others, or even when i end up emphasazing a sentence so much that kind of sells i want to fit into the conversation when i'm just trying to improve my speaking
Hai Vanessa I am from India.I like your class and your way of teaching . I have to attend my lelts exam with full confidence .So I am started to listen your classes. Superb.....
Thank you Vanessa, really love your videos and this one is so great to me to correct my speaking. I think mumbling, filler words and accidentally bad words are my problem. Need to improve!!
Hi Vanessa! Great lesson and good tips! You are such a fantastic teacher! Some English words are really difficult to pronounce. So when I speak English I try to speak slowly so that the other people understand what I mean. I sometimes tend to speak too loudly especially when I am carried away! In my opinion, speaking loudly is better than mumbling. Mumbling is annoying. If someone mumbles all the time you don't understand what he/she is saying and you have to ask him/her to repeat it all the time. It is a really awkward situation! I feel uneasy when I sometimes try to explain something and I don't remember the right words. It is an awkward situation! Anyway, I try to speak English whenever I have a chance even though I make mistakes but at least I usually get my message across!
I don't do usually any of those mistakes what u mentioned in the video.. I'm not a native speaker, but trying to speak like them. at the beginning of my English journey I used to use filler words much more.. But with the practice that bad habit has been gone. however, you're the best teacher I've seen ever and I love ur videos a lot. because the content of them are really valuable, not only for the native speakers but of course for the non-native speakers. U're good and kind mam.. I felt it actually in that day when I sent a mail to u for asking can u do give ur valuable english course to an affordable price for me... actually I thought that u'll never reply to me.. but u replied and it was a very pleasant response.. thankyou mam.. u're awesome.. the day when I'll become an advance English speaker definitely I highly recommend ur youtube videos for my friends and everyone who will be shocked by my speaking fluency... live happily mam.. stay safe❤️❤️
Thank you for good advices. It’s difficult to speak up in my case. because I’m afraid of explain my thought exactly. As you said, I will keep it mind of not doing mistakes.
Hi, such an awesome video probably every English learner especially non-native speakers would be doing these five mistakes I haven't done an English conversation with someone but I speak to myself my problem is mumbling because I've done conversations on the phone one or two times thanks
