I have been watching many videos on making the gnome ornaments. I make a different ornament every year for family and friends. This year I decided on gnomes. Your video has had the best ideas I have seen so far. You explain it in a way that is easy to follow. Thank you for sharing. Happy Holidays 🎄🙏👏
Hello, I am so happy to have found your channel! Can’t wait to make them, unfortunately it will be for next Christmas, but I’m glad to have found you and do these cute gnomes!
Awesome job on these gnome Christmas ornaments!! I absolutely love them all!! Yes it sure does help!! Thanks once again Duane! You must be the Gnome Master!! 😃♥️
Duane, I'm so excited to find this tutorial! Your gnomes are fantastic! So much character, just depending on material you used! I'm giddy with anticipation of my gnome ornaments! Thank you so much! Now to find a sweater!
You could also use old scarves or go to a dollar tree and buy scarves there. I also go to used stores and buy old sweaters for crafting. Old tee shirts are also great for crafting. I buy ones that are stained at garage sales too.
Hey Duane... brilliant… Bravo… Thank you for sharing and caring… I wanna wish you and your family the happiest holiday season… See you next year❄️❄️🙏🙏🎄🎄❤️❤️🎉🎉
This is lovely. I make things to donate to animal rescue fundraisers and I’m definitely going to make so,e of these. Thank you for the wonderful explanations.
Such a cute ornament! Very nice tutorial. I make my gnome noses out of polymer clay. That’s another good option. Thank you for this very well-dine tutorial.
Hi Duane, new subscriber as of today, for two reasons. 1) I love, love, love your take on gnomes and 2) you have the same name as my husband of almost 42 years……..spelled the same also. I don’t see the Duane spelling often. Looking forward to checking out your previous videos and waiting for new videos.
Debra, congratulations on you and your husband being married almost 42 years! That is awesome! I wish I could take credit for the spelling of my name, but my parents did not give me a choice. Thank you.
@@duanedking8498 I live in a very small town in the country (boonies), about 93 miles north of Grand Rapids. I live between Hesperia and Shelby Michigan. Are you from Michigan? Do you vacation in Michigan?
@@duanedking8498 It is nice to know a fellow Michigander. I hope your channel does well. Good Luck. I have to say that when I watch any You Tube video, I immediately click the like button, that way I don't forget, but if I don't like it I then click it to remove the like. I try to never push the thumbs down button, the only time I do is when there is foul language, but I always explain my reason for clicking the thumbs down. Take Care.
is there a link to the pattern? very cute!! I think I will make a bunch and decorate my tree this year. Opps.. sorry.. I didn't see the measurements on the pattern. Thanks so much.
Hello...new subscriber here. Your gnomes are beyond cute....such great directions and you have such a nice soothing voice. Can't wait to try one for my tree. Thank you so much.... Looking forward to more of your videos....you are so very talented. Sincerely, Debbie and Dexter-Dog my amazing rescued Chihuahua companion. 👍👍🙏🙏🎄🎄🎅🎅🌲🌲😁😁
Just love all your gnomes ❤️and thanks for sharing your ideas , your explanations are great I can understand what you say do at same time, thank for that, god bless you and your’s and have Merry Christmas & Happy Safe New Years🥂🍾…..Cheers 😊
These are so cute and this tutorial is really good! I’m kinda-sorta-maybe-possibly-definitely addicted to Gnomes! My gnomes are “cheater style” because I use pompoms for the body/beard. I bought the fur, but I’m intimidated by it. I really don’t want to mis-cut and waste it. (I would) 😊 Thanks for the suggestion for putting the pine cones in the freezer. Thank you for sharing your tutorial!
Yes gnome making is addicting. When I first started out I cut the fur with scissors and was awful at it. It took me a few tries to learn how to just cut the backing with an razor blade. It does take some practice and patience but I am sure you can master it.
Love your tutorials have bought alot of your patterns very easy to use. I have one question is what is a range that you sell these ornaments for. Thank you in advance!
Thank you Marina. In stores and boutiques I have sold them between $6 and $8. Online they tend to sell between $4 and $5. Most people doing craft shows tell me they sell a lot of them for $4 to $5.
Hello Duane. I love watching and learning from your videos. I have a question about the felt you use. Is it a certainly thickness and do you buy by the yard?
Greetings Lorraine For the ornaments I use a lot of leftovers and fabrics. For basic projects and teaching I use the regular felt “squares” you can pick up at any craft store. For my larger gnomes I buy the thicker bigger pieces of felt on line. I will also buy remnants by the yard of felt, fleece, and wool when I find a good sale price.
Love your slow precise instructions
Thank you. I hope I explain how to make well enough.
