Ben watching you plow the driveway with all the outbuildings it dawned on me that you "need" a hydraulic offset rear blade. With that you could plow with the front plow and rear plow at the same time and save you a bit of time in the process. I don't know you stay warm in that cold but I appreciate the time you take to make and post your videos.
It's been cold here all of January so far. There are wind warnings out today ( Monday). We have some snow but not what we normally have in years past. Great logging weather though. Winter is not over yet lol. Burning coal would definitely be a novelty for us. I wish I had some! The new tractor seems to be working well!
I remember as a little boy visiting my granddad. He sent me down to the train depot with a nickel to buy a bucket of coal. The smell of burning coal and the heat it puts out is a pleasant memory to me. Give my best to your Dad and have a blessed Sunday.
I agree with you about the amount of time that the ground has been frozen,it makes me wonder after things do thaw how many roads and driveways will have issues with pot holes developing. I am one of your viewers that requested videos with snow and brother you have not disappointed. I have enjoyed seeing the scenery around you while you are working. Thank you again Ben for the videos, oh and by the way I haven’t saw anyone burn coal in a long time, that brought back memories
Coal has been a staple of heating sources in our family for many years. It’s becoming harder to find good house coal, but it was readily available at one point. It’s a big help on those extremely cold days. Thanks for watching
Whew,y’all have had some more cold and snowy weather. We wouldn’t know what to do with that much snow in our area. Years ago a lot of people including myself burned wood or coal around here. Seems like most of us have stopped for some reason or another. The boring bees are alive and well down here but the woodpeckers haven’t gone after them yet. Hope you have a blessed Sunday Ben!
Yeah it sure is a colder winter than what we've had in quite a few years. With all the ice and snow you got those chains are a must, I don't even have 4 wheel drive, would love to have both. Good job on the snow removal, I want to wish the best for y'all on the rest of the winter. Stay safe and I hope you have a good day!
@@khtractors You're right on that one! Back on Jan 30, 1982 we got 21" of snow and I had to drive in it for several miles in a two wheel drive truck. I got stuck and put on the chains and never had an issue after that. 👍
Good Video ben and nice close pictures of the chains. I have considered making me a set for the front of mine, but i am still debating that thought, I can do it for about half the cost or less of a set of front chains. but again still pondering that. have a great one and they giving more snow tonight!
Another good video Ben. We have the same problem up here in Pennsylvania with the boring bees making holes then the woodpeckers going in after them. Makes a real mess out of your wood structures. Liked the views of your heating system in your shop. I have an inside stove in my shop that I burn mostly wood in. But it’s been a real cold spell up here too and I had my first coal fire yesterday! I’m burning PA anthracite up here and it really throws off the heat. Stay warm and God bless.
They sure can destroy the sheds in a hurry! The coal really helps on those days in the teens and below. Also at night it will carry over till morning better. Thanks for watching
Good Morning Mon Ami 🖐😇👍 Yes It was a cold week up here too 🥶🥶❄❄These wood pickers are hungry during the winter time 😢 Free Source of heat is truly OUTSTANDING 🔥🔥👍👍😇😇 Very Nice Open Station Tractor Snow Action Sir and Very Nice Set OF Tire Chains 🧐🧐👍👍 Diesel need a little help during deep cold ( yes check the thermostat for sure ). Radiator Is very important and Keep Up Your OUTSTANDING work Cheers 🍻🍻
Weather is staring to break here and snow is melting. We used to burn some coal in an upright stove and a really nice Warm Morning. Haven’t had my JD out below 20 deg’s, so I can’t comment on the smoke.
Those tire chains sure make the difference in that frozen stuff. Anxious to see if the cardboard allows the engine to warm up more. From the video. Your running at a fairly low rpm. That might be partly the cause. Naturally though, no need to rev her up, pushing snow. Lol
You know I noticed that too watching the video. My left knee takes spells of hurting but I didn’t realize I was limping. Thanks for watching and for checking on me!
My tractor does the same thing in cold temps I kinda wish they would have put a clutch fan on them but I guess they know what there doin I dont know If I was King I would change a lot of things LOL
I agree a fan clutch would help. But thankfully it doesn’t usually get this cold so it won’t be an issue very often. I appreciate your input on the subject. Thanks for watching.
We’ve got a central boiler system added to our house and makes a huge difference
Yes I’d like to have one to heat both the shop and house. Thanks for watching

Yes I’ve thought about that as well. It would help a lot. Thanks

Hello Mark. I hope you are staying warm.
The smell of good coal burning is something I enjoy as well! Thanks for watching Mark!
Good morning Ben, same here been a lot of years since snow’s been on the ground as long. And very cold also stay warm my friend.
Thanks, you too!
Good morning Ben, hope you and your family have a blessed day.

Ben, good job, stay warm!
Thanks, you too! Better weather this week hopefully.
Great video I'm ready for spring God bless
Mud season is coming next. Thanks for watching
I’m excited for the videos of you running things through the shop
I’ve got a few things to do but I did pretty good at keeping things up last year. Thanks for watching

I may have said it before Ben, but that front blade sure is nice.

The week of this video was miserable for everyone in the south. Those 5E’s look so much better with the bigger tires.
I think they look pretty good also. Thanks for watching

We freeze back at night and thaw in the day. It’s making for a real mess. Thanks for watching
I built a large Cattle Panel Hoop House to save my DRAGON FRUITS from freezing in South Texas. Unbelievable weather for us.
I’m glad that you’re worked payed off! It’s crazy how much of our country has had snow and harsh cold this winter.
Those tire chains sure make the difference in that frozen stuff. Anxious to see if the cardboard allows the engine to warm up more. From the video. Your running at a fairly low rpm. That might be partly the cause. Naturally though, no need to rev her up, pushing snow. Lol
I’m usually running 15-1800 rpm’s, should be plenty to warm the engine up. I think it’s just 🥶. Yes, the cardboard did help. Thanks for watching
Looks like you were limping at the 9:29 minute mark. Are you okay?
You know I noticed that too watching the video. My left knee takes spells of hurting but I didn’t realize I was limping. Thanks for watching and for checking on me!

How does your wood heater heat your big building? Looks to be in a different shed. Like your videos.
It’s forced air heat, I have a pipe ran into the shop through the wall. Thanks for watching
Plant you a fake owl or rubber snake in that spot & he won’t be back Ben!! My grandpa believed in both of them cause they work!!
That’s some good suggestions! Thank you!
I was looking at the tractor and forget what you said the difference between the 500m loader and 520 m?
The 500M sets in closer to the tractor while the 520M sticks out more. The 500M makes the tractor more stable. Thanks!
How do folks in Virginia spell hour
Same way you do, but we like the unique way we pronounce it. Have you ever been north and heard the different accents?
Howr is how I spell it. Thanks for watching
More rpm’s
If it doesn’t warm up at 1600 to 1800 rpm’s it still won’t at wide open. Thanks for watching
Ex where I have lived all my life it hasn't got a w in it
What does ex spell?
I’ve never learnt to spell two whale!
