I got a stuffed Mr. Skeleton at Joann’s the other day and the kids have decided he’s family and will live with us forever. I’m gonna make him a Christmas hat after Halloween.
Our Mr Skellington is an all year round family member too, hes Mr Skelliclause for Christmas & Mr Skullibunny for Easter, we dress him for the occasions & also seasons changes, he sits by the door & our courier drivers freak out every time they deliver packages, its super fun & my beasties & ghoul love it.
My husbands Mr skeleton is named Eddie bones and he sits in an empty cubicle at his work. They gave him a computer, desk phone, framed pictures of his skeleton family. They dress him up for every season. He’s an essential part of the office team. This October will be his one year work anniversary!
My & my hubby are doing the same with our brand new 5 foot werewolf skeleton! 🐺 He is too glorious for just Halloween... he has a permanent seat & many plans for holiday set ups/photo ops. 😂 Lol We are indeed a bit mad, but my wolfie dude is so magnificent that he needs to be appreciated every day! 🐺🐺 And NOW we have just purchased a 2 & half foot talll animated Cerberus skeleton (it is a thing of my dreams!🤣), which I have the feeling will likely stay with his skelly dad all year round. After all can not seperate man & the man's bestie friend(s), right?! 🐕💀 😂😂😂
I took my son to Lowe’s last weekend to look and he loved the skeleton band. The animatronics are SO GOOD at Lowe’s! I loved the creepy clown and the creepy Jack-o-lanterns. Also, the animatronic that pops up the pumpkin head made me jump lol. I LOVE the arch too - so beautiful! The knight you got is huge in person!
The clown reminding you of Lucian when he hasn’t napped made me cackle😂 too accurate! When my kids get to that point it’s a big shock then I’m like OHHH LOOK AT THE TIME😂😂
when i saw the “wine bottle holder” in person the howl i let out was almost embarrassing 😂💀 some ideas really make it past to many innocent eyes during production 😂😂😂
Nice to see that there is still plenty of Haunt to be Hunted!! Really looking forward to your Spooky Town, Jade. You have a great eye for arrangement and design, more like a set designer than the person who builds the furniture. You 'create' with the spooky goods that you find and put together to tell a story! Just as valid an artistic expression as building it yourself. Also summer is too hot to cook, so salads, sandwiches and cold stuff are my go to! 🎃🦇❤
A colony of wasps decided to start building a nest on my front porch light. The wasps were as long as my middle finger and as thick as my thumb! I could not leave my house to take trash out. Thankfully the tree service guys had a big can of bug spray and a huge shop-vac so they dealt with them quickly. Then they were nice enough to change the light bulb for me. A short horror story with a happy ending. I thought you could appreciate the terror of those horrid critters. Oh and about dinner in the heat? I eat a lot of sandwiches.
I will do like a HUGE casserole dish when I cook and since it’s just my husband and I, we can eat the leftovers and just microwave for a few days and not heat up the kitchen 😂
Carl is a great teacher, I have learned so much from him. It's such a great feeling building your own Spooky Town. If you have any questions let me know but get yourself a foam wire for sure.

BLTs are a good summer meal or chicken breasts with rice and broccoli. Just add cream of chicken soup and cheese, in a crock pot so you don't heat up the house.
Just make in the crackpot the poor man's meal.Put some Cabage and potatoes in ur crockpot.Then add some carrots and kielbasa sausage.Let it cook in the crock pot for 4 hours and add some spices.There you go ! It's a great summer meal. 🙂✌️❤️
Summer dish: Vietnamese spring rolls, gluten free, cold and perfect for hot weather. We use chicken or whatever meat you prefer but totally good without meat. I also make a hoisin/PB sauce for dipping that’s 😘🤌 chefs kiss. The mint/cilantro is a must- it creates a whole other flavor. Rice noodles, rice wrap, green lettuce, carrots, and whatever else you wanna add to that!
Brought my 5month old to the animatronic section at Lowe’s trying to warm her up to scary stuff before Halloween. She was so unbothered. I was so proud 😢
I'm at the point of DIY decor pieces now -- so far I've created mummified fairies (corpsed technique with skinned over wings, etc.) added to cloche jars with moss and bones, and a corpsed/skinned- over/stitched spell book with glass eye on the cover and snakes and bugs mixed in. 🕷🕸

The GOOD thing about cicada killers is that the males do not even have stingers and the femals rarely sting humans. Doesn't make them any less scary but they are wayyyy less aggressive than wasps and hornets.
My favorite summer dinner is chicken tacos: 2-3 cups Cooked cubed chicken breast 2 cups Fresh salsa (I make mild) 1/4 cup sour cream Throw into a skillet with a bit of water and heat until warm and mixed together. Quick, easy and delish

Small shell pasta (cooked to your liking), 1 to 2 drained cans tuna, frozen peas (thawed), 1 cup mayo (more if you like it extra creamy and seasonings ( I use salt and pepper, along with rosemary and garlic.) You can put in the fridge til dinner. Perfect for those 100+ days.

Considering Halloween started in Ireland, we’re finally starting to catch up with things over here, I went in Poundland today and they had decorations (albeit crappy) HUZZAH!!
Summer dinner back up. It’s chicken salad. It’s chicken breast cooked. Could be in air fryer or rotisserie. Red grapes, celery, cranberries or 🍏 pecans( don’t add as I’m allergic. We change to almost slivers, I add red onion. Lemon juice, mayonnaise put in a bowl or on a croissants. It’s the bomb. Quick and yummy. Takes like 20 minutes ish at most. I do make fruit into small pieces. Have a great week

And not just one shelve but multiple, but you should have seen my face when I saw the wraith with lantern, that I've been seeing in Jades videos for ageeessss... I was like 😲😲😲😲 I snatched it so fast too!!😂. I'm so happy I can fianlly join on the Halloween hunt too, especially that it's not popular in Europe! Sorry for over sharing here, but I feel like the Spooky Family will understand my excitement!!! Ahhh so happy!!!
Been hella hot and humid here in Arkansas. So much awesome Halloween decor. The automated black tree is fabulous. Some of the other automated things were just creepy. I enjoyed this, thanks for sharing it.
Spooky Town sounds fun to me! I've always like the miniature things, doll houses, fairies, the like. I almost got a Christmas town but don't have the room. I might find room for a Spooky Town though, but I won't have to if I can look at yours!

Got sick all weekend so no SPooky hunting, I missed a wedding, and then we had some big concerts this weekend too. Michaels gave me a coupon voucher thingy recently. Michaels has an animatronic beating heart that lights up and I had to have it I plan on doing an Edgar Allan Poe theme in the dining room this year I also got the Tombstone for Poe. I just really don't like the paint job on the Poe busts at Michael's like the weird scar.

Good Ol' Mr. Skeleton is iconic, legendary, and a permanent member of the spooky family. He doesn't to be fixed or replaced. My skeleton, Frankie, lives above my kitchen cabinets. She's just sitting there in all her spooky glory. One of my cats enjoys going up there against the rules to sit in Frankie's lap. 😂😂 When my SIL visited last month, she was in the kitchen being coffee and all of sudden jumped because she didn't know Frankie was there keeping watch. It was hilarious! She looked at me and was like, "of course you have skeletons hidden all over your house!" We have another one we call Freddie hanging on a wreath on my daughter's bedroom door. 🤣🤣🤣
Carl has awesome tutorials for halloween villages. I have a halloween village cemetery. I didn't plan anything. Just started cutting foam board & painted it & glued my "grass". If I had planned things like where I wanted to display it and made it sized accordingly, it would have been so much better. One of the biggest things imo is just picking a theme bc otherwise you want everything.💀

He was like what for? I told him it is on his phone just "GO". There is only 5 in the store! It is the greatest thing! I love it so much. Been hella hot and humid here in Arkansas. So much awesome Halloween decor. The automated black tree is fabulous. Some of the other automated things were just creepy. I enjoyed this, thanks for sharing it.

Spooky Town sounds fun to me! I've always like the miniature things, doll houses, fairies, the like. I almost got a Christmas town but don't have the room. I might find room for a Spooky Town though, but I won't have to if I can look at yours!

Got sick all weekend so no SPooky hunting, I missed a wedding, and then we had some big concerts this weekend too. Michaels gave me a coupon voucher thingy recently. Michaels has an animatronic beating heart that lights up and I had to have it I plan on doing an Edgar Allan Poe theme in the dining room this year I also got the Tombstone for Poe. I just really don't like the paint job on the Poe busts at Michael's like the weird scar.

My skeleton, Frankie, lives above my kitchen cabinets. She's just sitting there in all her spooky glory. One of my cats enjoys going up there against the rules to sit in Frankie's lap. 😂😂 When my SIL visited last month, she was in the kitchen being coffee and all of sudden jumped because she didn't know Frankie was there keeping watch. It was hilarious! She looked at me and was like, "of course you have skeletons hidden all over your house!" We have another one we call Freddie hanging on a wreath on my daughter's bedroom door. 🤣🤣🤣
Carl has awesome tutorials for halloween villages. I have a halloween village cemetery. I didn't plan anything. Just started cutting foam board & painted it & glued my "grass". If I had planned things like where I wanted to display it and made it sized accordingly, it would have been so much better. One of the biggest things imo is just picking a theme bc otherwise you want everything.💀

I was up late last night watching this video and I saw you show the moving spooky tree at Menards. My husband got up the next morning and I just said to him "go to Menarrds !!". lol. He was like what for? I told him it is on his phone just "GO". There is only 5 in the store! It is the greatest thing! I love it so much. The sound only lasts 45 seconds which is perfect for me and so many lighting options. The movement is perfect. I am just in love with it! Happy Halloween Season to you and your family. 🧡
