We adopted a feral kitty with idiopathic epilepsy. We never gave up on him. He’s now on 2 different medications twice a day every day. He and his brother, from another mother, are now 3 years old and he’s never had another seizure. We love them both dearly.

I'm halfway thru and of course will watch the rest, but I am just amazed that with the drool first, that poisoning of some kind including pesticide poisoning weren't immediately suspected. I had a neighbor who used round-up on grass between her sildwalk squares and my cat was nearly a goner. If I hadn't gone to my neighbor and asked if there were anything she had done that might have made my cat sick, I wouldn't have figured out what to do. I had the right kind of clay on hand and I was able to feed her a little portion of water and clay, maybe more than once - this is decades ago, and she recovered. Clay is probably the best thing to have on hand, though charcoal may also be just as good, I don't know, and charcoal you can make in a pinch, such as by burning toast in your toaster if you have one, and scraping off the blackend part to use (feed kitty somehow).
