I feel it's the same as developing proper grip for a target pistol. Grip with the fingers and palm, leave the thumb and forefinger relaxed. And of course, practice, practice, practice . Great video, probably your best yet. thanks Joe. :)
Love driving one handed. It definitely takes some time and practice. Just like everything else you want to learn or try. Man I love your RC play ground. I would never leave.🤣🤣 well done sir👍👍
@@ExocagedRC I'm sure you are. You couldn't get me out of there. There would just be RC carnage everywhere. Until I ran out of RCs to send and crawl Then start the fix and repairs of them. And then repeat and do it all over again next week .hahaha It must take some time and thinking.. To come up with and make new obstacles and jumps? But that must be as much fun as bashing and crawling?...
Spend 90% of my time driving 1 handed even when not filming, you are right about it just becoming natural to do. My only issue is when filming paying attention to my phone and where it is pointed lol car tends to go out of the top of the screen often. But keeping the car on the ground is boring lol.
Thanks for the tips, this is really helpful for those of us just getting into RC youtubing. I definitely got a good idea on how to mod my GT5 for one handed driving without a 3d printer.
Interested in getting some adapter like this for my TRX-4. I see some on ebay w/ a smaller wheel that attaches to the main steering wheel and also some that are more just like a small metal rod that attaches to the steering wheel
@@ExocagedRC i use my right hand to operate and the thumb wheel would make it easier,i just gave away my arma granite to my sons friend , its too fast for me to have fun. i now have a gen8v2 and a wendigo that's stock with a reefs rear swaybar both hooked up with a gt5 controller both have gearheadz aluminum (heavy)wheels i enjoy crawling / bashing a lil but wendigo is my fave "crawler "also i've used the clip on thumb latches and they fall off or just move around too much
thanks for the tips. I drive with my right hand on remote and camera in my left hand. i have long fingers haha I'm still learning. my hardest part is learning to control rc at higher speeds. they just get out of control when slowing down. idk i destory my 22s losi in 1st run :(
I’ve never really tried to do it but id have to get the piece for the dx5c.. now a question 🙋🏼♂️ why do I like the Gt.vs dx5? Cause aren’t they kinda the same platform?
I got a GT3c and I've bound 3 trucks to it. Silly question but is it normal to be able to drive all 3 trucks at the same time regardless of what model I'm on with the controller?
I realllllyyy wanna change the steering wheel on the contorller but can’t find anything online to buy do u know where I can find one taht would fit for the flysky GT5

Thanks man
I run behind a Bomber thru the woods and one-handed is crucial. And changing gears is the hardest task! Go figure.
Thanks!
I've been waiting for this one for a year!!!!
Awesome!!!
Sorry it took me so long

Great vid EXO. I have been practicing one handed driving. It is tough in sometimes. I really like these tutorial vids, keep doing them.🤘🤘🤘
That deserves extra credit points!! 👏 most folks can't drive with both hands let alone one 😂
LOL

yeah I've done it so much I almost always watch the car now and my Gimbal hand just goes where its supposed to.
I can do it fine with my crawlers but the go fasts and the bashers are the hard part 🤣
I love this video! So many questions answered! For us Normal Guy! Lol..🤣😂😅

THANKYOU SIR FOR A GREAT INFORMATIVE VIDEO. I LOVE TO LEARN THINGS THAT HELP MY RC FUN.🇬🇧💂🇺🇸🗽♥️💯👍
I always drive one handed, usually only if I’m doing something super technical do I use 2 hands
There is one good thing about having small hands..........
It makes the other thing I'm always playing with look bigger!
LOL this is true!! I'd love to make some jokes on this but I'll just have to leave it alone.
@@ExocagedRC I get it. You keep it classy buddy, I'll handle the light grey stuff 😉

For the trx4 radios I believe DSM offroad has some that bolt on for it.
Great info n video Joe
I also started rcs one handed. 2 hands is difficult with a vape/splif or coke in one.
A man must keep to his priorities. ;)

LOL well that makes sense!!
i had a stroke - lost use of my left hand i need the thumb wheel i still love to rc
Most of these Radios are for left handed driving. How would one of these thumb wheels help?
@@ExocagedRC i operate with my right hand

This just awesome, AWESOMEEEEEEE
Man that's awesome!!
very nice tips.
sounds like John C Riley from step brothers.
Small spare tyres work well. . I don't have cool driving mods. . Just a scattered brain. No easy fix for my sasage fingers either

Great demo Joe. Sadly i'm left handed so i hold the radio with my right hand and steer with my left hand.
Where can one get the hacked gt3c?
I hack and sell them, if you're interested send me an email at exocagedrc@yahoo.com
Some times I use my chin
