Sound garden and for that matter Chris Cornell has a ton of amazing songs. Not only was the band awesome as far as playing and singing but the songwriting and lyrics were awesome as well. Very complex songs and odd time signatures. You’re missing out unless you check it all out. Trust me

The _"Come Together"_ in _"Spoonman, come together with your hands"_ is a reference to the Beatles song of the same name. Spoonman is the first of two songs on Superunknown that name drop Come Togerher. The other song is Kickstand, the lyrics of which go:
_Kickstand I got a saddle made of leather_
_Kickstand I got the words to Come Together_
...which is quite an obvious hint that Come Together has a deeper meaning than some vague reference to solidarity amongst peace protestors or whatever. At least, it's obvious in retrospect...I only clicked a few years ago, and Superunknown has been my favourite album since 1994, so it took me the better part of three decades click :) Anyway another vein of evidence that pushes me to that conclusion, are the YT videos of the Beatles performing Come Together, in at least one of which we see John Lennon address the crowd before and I think after the song, with rhetorical questions about what the song means, who old Flattop is etc; hard to explain, but if you find the vid you'll know that Lennon is dropping pretty strong hints about another whole layer of meaning to the song. And as per the lyrics to Kickstand, someone in Soundgarden (likely Chris or Kim, but they're all psychonauts TBH; I've found some really funky rabbit holes from comments Ben has made in interviews....)
I got the words to Come Together translates as: I understand the subtextual, possibly encoded / encrypted deeper meaning. I should mention that Soundgarden covered Come Together as well, so there's obviously something going on here, and apparently Soundgarden are in on it. I'm not saying Spoonman wasn't a song title on that movie prop cassette Chris found on the set of Singles, with song titles for songs which didn't exist, or that it wasn't a themesong for Artis the Spoonman (Michael Beinhorn tells a pretty out there story about a strenuously violent / brutal performance Artis gave in the studio where Superunknown was recorded, from memory; he really tore himself up, ended up with him, his spoons, the floor in a radius around him splattered with blood...)
So, want the answer? Well don't blame me for how whacky this is. I'll let you figure out how the lyrics to Spoonman and Kickstand tie into this, and let you figure it out for yourself. Here's what you need to know: members of the Beatles revealed, via their own offiicial Beatles fanzines (i.e. all contents sanctioned by the band / label / management; I assume in this case it was either Apple records, or whoever they were signed to prior to the creation of Apple records). The story goes-and you can easily & quickly verify this with a web search-that during their months-long contract with the club(s) in Munich, where they were performing 2 or 3 gigs for a total of 5+ hrs of music most nights of the week, well sometimes, instead of hitting the town after their last performance, to drink and pull German birds...occasionally they'd choose to stay in and play competitive wanking games in their hotel in the dark. The aim of the game being to NOT finish last. Quite amusing, apparently, as they'd try to psych the others out by calling out things that conjured non-sexy (i.e. offputting) visual images. Like _"Winston Churchill naked on a rug"_ kinda thing.
Now go back and look at the lyrics of Spoonman:
_"Spoonman (lol), come together (lol) _*_WITH YOUR HANDS (ahahahahaha)."_*
(_"Come on while I get off"_*
PS: Save me is another bit of coded sexual innuendo, buy it's a bit dark. This whole thing with the lyrics of Spoonman being a band in-joke, related to w@nking games and *ritual sex magick of Aleister Crowley, of whom the Beatles were huge fans,* leads or connects to quite a bizarre, and often grim, labyrinth of weirdness, including a lineage of songs by different bands, the earliest being, from memory, Bowie's _"Oh you Pretty Things"_ - 1971. The songs tie back to a novel published around the 1870s, titled _'The Coming Race'_ which seems to be tied in to Theosophy / Theosophists, and figures who would go on to create the National Socialist (Nazi) party in Germany. There's also the weird angle of 'The Coming Race' being a perfect description of the w@nking game the Beatles (or some of the band members; different versions of the story exist) claim they played.
#28 is STP(international love song) #27 is Rolling Stones maybe (you bring a good man down? #26(brown eye girl)not sure who the artist is.
Hey Chris! You're pretty good at this! You are correct on all of them! #27 the title is Start me Up & #26 was by Van Morrison :)
