As you mentioned, you travelled from Texas. You stopped any where in middle or one stretch you travelled to Avon from Texas? Please guide us. I'm travelling from Dallas City. Other than The Westin hotel, you stayed some where else in Colorado Springs? If possible please share your schedule and visits by each day. Thank you.
When you said that y'all were heading back to Texas I squealed. My husband and I are planning to go back to CO as a birthday vacation. We live in HOU. Subscribed! :)
Hi Jenny, we drove from TX to CO and love road trips. We ended up driving up hwy 24 which was stunning but could be scary if you have a fear of high roads! It was very smooth and had safety rails, but definitely windy and high. If you are coming in from Denver or elsewhere, stick to the Interstate and it’s not scary at all. Avon is right on I-70 and the lanes are wide and many all the way from Denver. There’s a tunnel on the route so you avoid steep narrow passes. You cross Vail Pass on I-70, but it’s a great easy drive. Hope you enjoy!
@@FarmtoTravel hey we're doing the same trip next week! Pretty excited about the drive though since I grew up driving the mountains in WA state. I'm excited to see the high and windy roads 😁
No kidding! I did notice the road with all the flags across the street and the way above average fitness/spa area for a hotel of this size. Definitely a great place.
Hi, I loved your Videos. Could you please advise , if there any free paring spot or area that I can leave my car before I get to the shuttle to Marroon bells. or any advise to save the whole day parking cost? looking forward to your suggestions about Maroon bells parking.. thanks. Khan.
Thanks! The Maroon Bells bus departs from the Aspen Highlands Visitor Center which is where we parked. The money to park there is worth it! A free bus also runs from the city of Aspen to Aspen Highlands, labeled the Castle/Maroon bus. It leaves every 20 minutes on the hour. You could find free parking somewhere in the city at a shop or restaurant and walk to that city bus route. However, I would highly recommend paying the fee to park at Aspen Highlands for an easier stress free experience.
@@FarmtoTravel great. then I will go and do that. so, Please correct my steps of my driving--- I will come drive from Salida, CO--, so, (1) I will book my shuttle ticket from online (2) I will directly go to the Aspen Highlands Visitor Center from Salida, CO (3) park my car there (4) Take the shuttle to Maroon bells...are those correct ? if no pls advise ..................Finally--I would appreciate if you can please give me the Aspen highland visitor center's physical address, so I can use that in my GPS please. Natural hot springs. That ain't because it's been heated inside. Natural hot springs would be heated by vulcanism. And most vulcanism has Sulphur. You didn't know that?
I got teary eyed wen the kids thanked their dad
Thank you so much for this video !!! I have a daughter and this is very helpful
Yes...it's like Switzerland..very Alpine..beautiful spruce trees..and houses built in between the mountains.

Loved the video. Would you mind sharing your experience on the drive to Avon? My anxiety makes me terrified of cliff side roads..

In which month did u travel?
Did you see any warnings for bears or other wild life on your first hike in vail?
I don’t recall seeing any warning in Vail and there were people everywhere on the trails! Even first thing in the morning on a random weekday.
Aye mate, great vid! Love from bangladesh
Thanks for watching all the way from Bangladesh!
All great spots!
Thanks! Just checked out your rafting video. Definitely want to squeeze that in next time we make it back to CO.

Another cool fact about your hotel, this is the fitness center that Olympic gold medalist Mikaela Shiffrin uses.
