Awesome video, i just installed my AWE track exhaust the other week and i definitely have to say it really makes the car whole, it sounds like a proper rs now. On a side note if you find the car a bit droney, unplug the factory sound symposer in the trunk, it makes a huge difference on the highway. No need for fake sound when you have the real thing ,lol.
Thank you! I really don't find it too droney unless I'm engine braking - then the exhaust is quite loud. I thought about unplugging the sound generator, but just haven't gone back and done it - Do we know that is all that box does? No other noise cancellation or anything?
Josh Mills From what I can tell from the before and after it really just takes away the artificial noice coming from the front of the car, I was curious if it would have an affect on the drive modes or anything else, seems as it doesn't really do anything else though.
Yeah, it eliminates the need for the electronic sound sympozer thing and replaces it with real exhaust notes - as far as the drive modes go, they still function as they normally would just with a lot more grunt :)
Just installed mine, unfortunately it didn’t come with the simulator so I can’t get those sweet pops in Sport/Track until I get that part in. Still sounds great though!

I've only heard resonated versions of this exhaust in videos never in person. I will say, at first, this exhaust is loud... Once you drive around with it for 1k miles or so it does start to settle and if your in normal mode it is tame enough to not draw too much unnecessary attention. But put it back in sport mode and SNAP CRACKLE POP lol. I don't regret this exhaust at all and I get people pulling up to me at stop lights complementing the sound regularly. Hope that helps!

I've never heard the Touring Edition in person, but I can say the Track Edition DOES pop/burble more than stock - It brings a smile to my face every time it happens in normal mode while driving aggressively and as soon as you put it in sport mode it gets THAT MUCH BETTER! Heh, I definitely recommend it!
I wouldn't say its "Too Loud" at all, the RS is also my only car / daily driver and you can still have a conversation in the cab no prob. I've had the exhaust on for almost a year and I'm still happy with the choice. I'd even say its only SLIGHTLY louder than stock when your cruising in a high gear, so its really only as loud as your right foot wants it to be :)
I just installed the Track edition and a week later, I have the Touring edition rear portion on order. The decel is the worst part of this exhaust. It sounds AMAZING and pops and burbles a ton. That decel is just overbearingly loud and hits a freq. that rattles my brain cage!
I love that exhaust. Great sound and pops (more like gunfire). anyone know if a bad cat converter and/or access port can blow up an engine. Mine did at 34,000 miles and Ford said I wiped the memory, it was over fueled and denied all my claims. Now on the 2nd engine, just over 1,000 miles under her belt and am getting the same errors and engine light coming on..."cat efficiency below normal", "random misfire"...etc?
Once your cruising in 5th or 6th it basically reverts to 'stock' and there isn't any drone. Once you step on it though, you instantly remember its there :)

1:12 what does that plug do? Also, would the AWE touring exhaust sound as quiet as the stock exhaust?
the plug ins are valve simulators, and from the video the awe track exhaust sounds overall louder, just ordered mine!
