  • This video is about an acoustic test of a Royer SF24V. I borrowed this mic for the week and was blown away by how realistic the playback is. It is truly the closest to the real thing in recording quality I've ever tested.

    What a neat piece! Can't imagine how I've never heard it. At first it felt a little like the 2nd movement of the Malcolm Arnold Fantasy, but it just continued to grow and develop. Love ir. (I imagine the mic is cool too... I'm a Luddite. I wouldn't understand from tubes).

    Hi Toby ,
    These Mic are absolutely very accurate and articulate very precisely . I wander with what kind of Preamp you used ? The M/S recoding technique is also a very popular and resonates much more freely .

    Can i ask a thick question please why are you using two stereo mics what pattern are you getting?.
