This game is so much fun. An escalation deck building game where your decks are different each game play. A war tactics strategy as a bonus to protect your sage or (commander for mtg fans). Even my wife likes playing it!
This also feels like it could be a good intro to a more brain-burner like Level 99's Puxel Tactics. Having troops with different abilities at different ranks on the battlefield is a thing in that game, too.
My Kickstarter edition arrived yesterday. I was very excited but when I started in the rulebook I got overwelmed quick (I got long covid so my brain doesn't work the way it should most of the time). Your video gives a clear vieuw how to play and now that I have a basic understanding I'm sure I will get there. So thank you so much for making this. Today you are my hero! ❤
I’ve played the game a handful of times and love it so far! One of the things you said at the beginning about how the game went on and on: The game has a way to get around that. As you defeat elementals, you level up, and once a player gets to level 8 you get your level 8 faction ability. Once a player gets to level 8, they have a method to damage the opponents sage directly. I’m curious how long your game lasted with your son to where this wouldn’t take affect.
The game was maybe an hour and a half to an hour forty. But again, I think it lasted that long because we didn’t have a clear strategy and we had to check rules a couple times. Now that we’ve played through a few games they go quicker.
One thing I noticed after watching the official trailer of this game is that we can summon elemental warriors from different faction into our troops, is it not? I mean, if we restrict it into one faction only, Pebble is the strongest faction with their shield ability and the toughest one to break.
@@tiofiliuspransisko5684 yes! You can use the coins you gain throughout the game to hire elementals from other factions. However, when you use certain cards you must have “connected” elementals of the same faction to use the cards. Also, some of your leader’s abilities only apply to elementals of the leader’s same faction.
Ah, I see. So, I can summon other factions' elementals but they might not be able to use their skill? Maybe I'll just include it in my personal rules when playing with my friends then, because if it restrict the effect to one faction only, the difference in strength of each factions is very visible. Thanks for the explanation 😁😁I am waiting for my own Command of Nature next week, your video really helps me out
Awesome introduction! This 2ins video saved me from guessing from the rulebook. Im glad i purchased this game. A bit disappointed that fire faction wasnt available
Can i use more than the instant command card in the same atack? And When you use the ritual card,is it necessary to use elementals from the same faction?
Great questions! The rulebook doesn’t say you’re restricted to 1 instant, so I assume that means you can play as many as you want. Yes! The “connected” elementals used to play a ritual card must be from the same faction.
@@flaccotuna unfortunately you can’t. 1v1 or 2v2, and there’s also a way to play 1v2 but your essentially playing 2v2 with one player controlling two characters.
I got this for my fiance and I. Definitely my type of game, definitely not her type of game (we have plenty of her type of game). We’re waiting for a time we’re not exhausted to give it a try. Wedding is 9 days away so we’re a little swamped
@@rs4721 you’re actually incorrect. There are a lot of people that care about my thoughts. They’re the people that want to be a hero. In life there are hero’s and villains. The hero’s build people up, the villains tear them down. It’s never too late to change.

one way you can track who has attacked is by "tapping" them (like in MTG) by turning them sideways
Great idea. Thanks!

Good point about the “escalation deck-building.” That’s a great way to describe it, and any game that the wife will play is a definite win!

What about selling cards and paying 2 more gold to feild a element card right into the play feild if theres an open spot?
Yes! I forgot about selling cards! We hardly ever do that when we play, so I forgot to mention it. Thank you!
