FILM.UA presents the sixth episode of Born in Ukraine cycle, telling the story of a bacteriologist and creator of the world's first effective cholera and plague vaccine Volodymyr Khavkin.
Russian sources still indicate Volodymyr Khavkin as russian and French scientist, avoiding the most significant fact that Volodymyr is Ukrainian.
Volodymyr Khavkin has been awarded by the Paris Medical Academy and became an honorary member of various European scientific organizations. In India, Khavkin was called the majestic word 'Mahatma' as he successfully fought cholera there.
