I personally think Jason and dobrik totally paved the way for UA-camrs to start podcasts. Like they started in 2017 with audio only and quickly became one of the biggest podcasts at the time and STAYED audio only well into 2020 when everyone had been doing video. I really thought it was some revolutionary stuff at the time lol
Definitely! They should've stayed audio only though. I didn't like it as much once they added video.

One of my favorite podcasts is Your Own Backyard. It’s true crime, and the investigation of the podcast helped solve a murder. So good!
In the Dark and Teacher’s Pet are two podcasts where they started out unsolved too but by the end of them were solved! I loved In Your Own Backyard so I recommend these if you liked that one

As a parent with 2 kids, we are gentle with our kids, we don’t gentle parent. We give them the space to explain their feelings but they also can’t act crazy. Tantrums are inevitable and sometimes you really do just have to let them get it out but if it ever becomes physical and they throw things or hit…immediate trouble. Just my 2 cents. We also aren’t perfect parents and we’re just trying to break generational trauma while making sure our kids don’t grow up little assholes ❤️
I don’t have any bumper stickers but one of my favorites that I have seen has Ted Cruz and under him it says, “This man ate my son” 😭😭😭

Laguna beach back to the beach podcast got me started on podcasts. Growing up watching all those reality tv shows I had to know! It was good hearing Lauren come on at the end spoiler alert lol

As a banker always hang up and call your bank if you have any red flags. We do ask for codes and share screens but always google your bank number!
I used to bartend/serve at Olive Garden, and I consistently got customers (usually old people) who jokingly say "Let's go Brandon" to me when they see my name tag. It was so frustrating and annoying. I always showed my displeasure to the customers with a slight glare as I leave to bring them their entrees, and that typically resulted in them apologizing or me receiving a heftier tip lol.

Hello I’m an apple podcast listener. I’ve been a podcast addict for 5 years now. My favourite murder was the reason I got into podcasts.
They come out with two episodes (a full and a mini) every week. They have an entire podcast network company and they donate to a lot of charities. They are really amazing women and I feel like your brief mention didn’t do them justice. Atleast you got me to come to UA-cam and sub to the channel tho. Thanks for entertaining us with the good influences pod!

my mom is a therapist but I never feel like she's analyzing me all the time, maybe I'm lucky lol but we fight a lot over stupid things, she gets pissed when I say “how do you think like that, you're a psychologist”
My Favorite Murder was the first podcast I actually stuck with. The episode that stuck with me is episode 17 the story about Mary Vincent.
I’m a born & raised North Carolinian and those decals and bumper stickers are unfortunately VERY common here 😅
During my sophomore year of high school, my English teacher had us do a whole semester unit on Serial where we’d listen to an ep a week and write a paper correlating with that ep and its theme. I’ll never forget for the ep about the man discovering the body after pulling over to pee, we had to write a narrative essay and mine was titled “To Pee or Not To Pee”. My teacher tweeted about it lol

I gasped when you mentioned Delilah’s kids. Delilah’s son committed suicide and her other son died of sickle cell anemia. Then her step son passed away. Such a tragic life. 😢

I do appreciate that Good Influences is audio-friendly. I hate when I *have* to watch podcasts to get what all they’re talking about (which is most of them these days). I feel like having to sit down to watch something defeats the whole purpose of podcasts.
I feel like Carly gets cut off often and isn’t able to get her full thought out
