God, I love this. Just the half guard lacing of the legs (I believe it's called the lockdown) is a huge improvement of my knee shield half guard lacing. I always lose people in the half guard position by doing a knee shield. They just push my leg out and go into my guard, knee slicing or just stepping over. I believe the lockdown is a much stronger hold. I'm looking forward to trying this

There are A TON of lockdown options. Personally I use lockdown when I get flattened out from halfguard when I lose the underhook battle.
The trick of the knee shield when you're starting out, is while they are focusing on your knee, get the grip/s you want and start attacking your sweeps/subs.
Sometimes I even let them get rid of my knee shield in exchange for the x guard hook, then start coming into deephalf or the electric chair!
